Hi. I have 4 questions as you are a Kittitian living there: (1) Does the country have a stable electricity supply, or do you suffer constant blackouts? (2) How is your internet speed? (3) What is your cost of living like, expensive or reasonable? and (4) Any crime issues, or are things well managed by the police? Thank you in advance
@@grant5059 Hi. Yes I really am a kittian that still lives on island. Electricity supply is just fine. Every once in a while, if there are issues at the power company then there'll be an outage, but they don't last too long generally. Internet is also fine. I wouldn't call it high speed but again generally speaking it's fine. Cost of living however is ridiculous, especially lately with rising prices. When it comes to clothing, shoes, household items, etc it really depends on what you want and what your willing to spend, but a good bulk of us would order items online. Just bare in mind there are customs charges on everything coming in and customs is expensive and it'll take a while before they get here. My island is beautiful and so are our people. I encourage anyone to come for a visit and see for yourself. Hope that answers your questions 🤗🤗

I was happy to here you say that the Caribbean Islands have differences and they are not all the same. Many people think of the Caribbean as being Jamaica 🇯🇲 not realizing there are several beautiful islands. I have visited Grenada 🇬🇩, St Lucia 🇱🇨, Barbados 🇧🇧, Dominica 🇩🇲 , Antigua and Barbuda 🇦🇬, St Kitts and Nevis 🇰🇳, Jamaica 🇯🇲 and Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹.

Just a few fact that were left out,m: we have reindeers, Carnival is actually called Sugar Mas in St kitts and our music is in fact Calypso and Wilders (really fast and upbeat music).

As it turns out deer in St. Kitts is a very real phenomenon, so much so, that they are the only mammal protected by law on the island. Their existence on the island dates back to the 1930s. Records indicate the white-tailed deer was introduced to St.Sep 25, 2021

Just the thought of 5k people watching a video about such a small nation simultaneously is just mindblowing. In less than 4 hours after published, 56k people will have seen the video. That's the same amount as the population of St. Kitts and Nevis :)

It made Alexander Hamilton much more well-known as he was not one of the more "popular" of the "founding fathers". The joke is that on any video that has anything to do with Alexander Hamilton, there are a ton of comments referencing lyrics from the musical. It's really quite good, you should give it a listen sometime. Definitely not just for Americans.

Went there last year. Highly recommend staying at the beach house on turtle beach, one of the few houses actually on the beach. Me and my adult daughter went and were completely safe to wonder around the island. Everyone is amazingly friendly. You feel like your home away from home. I want to make it my full time home though. You will crave to go back. My heart yearns to be there every day.

Why do Caribbean countries have so many great sprinters, while Africa has the best marathon runners?
Easy, if you run too far in the Caribbean, you fall into the ocean.

Brody McCaul well my point is that’s probably why africa is so good at track is because most of their countries are overpopulated and they have more people to choose from.
Well East Africa is where the “marathon runners” tend to come from and that has to do with a mixture of genetics and the high altitude, which means you grow up with less oxygen so you build up more endurance benefiting your distance running ability. TL;DR it’s the altitude.
