thank you for all the great content.. i just finished pouring the floor on Tuesday for my 55x80x20 steel building. Watching your channel gave me the confidence to put mine up.. Starting the buid Monday . thanks again from Canada
@@BuildingwithNARF Thank you for the kind words . Day two of the build me, and two helper with no experice and we have the cross bace center of the building up with no major issues. I'll try , and post a short video at some point.
Great explanation of what you are doing and how you are doing it!! Good stuff. Just got to the end wall on my new 40x60x16 boat shop and they gave me the wrong parts!! 🤦♂️. Not sure what will happen now. But they are so behind on stuff we will prob end up fixing it ourselves. I can’t wait a month for replacements.
Holler @ us so you don’t have to get the mag drill out ! We design, manufacture, ship anywhere in the country! Very Competitive Pricing! Great video Appreciate it
This is known as a rigid frame steel building. I'm not sure what a bank barn. These type buildings are prefabricated and we bolt them together at the job site. All the welding is done at the shop. We can build you a custom size and design. Let me know what you need and I'll send you a quote. Roofover556@yahoo.com
Standing seam is a better roof system. It is a personal preference tho. If I could afford it I would use standing seam panels. PBR will last a long time if it is installed correctly.
Prefab question what is the best way to shim the up right beams ? I was thinking of using leveling nuts and then doing steel beam grout. If I use leveling nuts my prefab panels are cut to exactly 18ft we would be 1 inch short with leveling nuts can I move the wall panel down and use the rake trim to cover the 1 inch short at the top ? Hope that make sense thanks for all your videos and all the time you take to answer questions. Great tips
Yes u can use leveling nuts under columns. Is your concrete that bad off of grade? Your rake trim can hide an inch and up to sometimes 4" of shortness on panels. The eave trim can hide up to 3" most of the time. Not recommended but should work.
Just found your channel , really liking it. I’m in construction in N Atlanta and thinking about putting up Barndominium in Mountains. I’ll be watching you!! Thanks 😊
Be sure to use a screwgun with a clutch. Do not use impacts! amzn.to/2Q0P0X9 Thicker gauge steel will not oil can as bad as lighter gauge steel. I have one video about wall panels but it is one of my first and I don't give alot of details. (Excuse the bad video quality).
@@BuildingwithNARF another dumb question..the sticky tape on the insulation,do you stick each peice together as you go or do you go back afterwards and stick them together
@@BuildingwithNARF ok my build was built by r&n in Pittsburgh..don't know if your familiar with them..all galvanized secondary members..they made alot of mistakes in the manufacturing..drove me near insane
Attached To the slab but where each column is there is a substantial amount of concrete. In other words a pier with rebar mats. Also a footer/beam with rebar around the perimeter tying the piers together.
By the way, do you do business in Tennessee? I’m shopping for contractors for a new winery building. If not, do you know any reliable services in Tennessee that you can recommend? Thanks in advance!
Hello and greetings. I would like to thank you for recording such videos, which help people like me a lot. I have a request from you. My request is that you help me to build the halls I want. My hall has an opening of 30 meters, but without the middle column at a height of 6 meters. I want to know with what size H beam I can build these halls. I will build it. Of course, if the opening is 30 meters, it will answer. If it doesn't answer, I can make the opening of the shed up to 23 meters. I am waiting for your correct answer. I thank you again for your help. I wish you a good day.
there is always somebody out there showing how to do it wrong and the most unsafe way to do it . osha would love you they are for profit organization and the money they would make of you would be very high

Thank you for making the videos.
Great Video Sir! The way I’ve used to line up the ridge is snap a line on the concrete and laxer up to a mark underneath the purin(s)
Just an update the building is up and all went well thanks for all the great info.
THANKS!!
It's cool!

Any more videos of this building being finished?
Out of curiosity about how much does a building erection like this cost in terms of labor and equipment?
Thanks for the excellent video. Did you make piers for the columns? If not, how were the bolts to anchor the columns placed in the slab?
Concrete was done by others...I do believe there is a pier at each location of the columns. Usually about 1 1/2 yards of concrete per pier.
@@BuildingwithNARF Thanks a lot for the quick reply!

you have no clue how to hang iron. UNSAFE!
Why don't you post a video showing everyone how it's done instead of just talking about it
Sounds drunk. Pass.
So bored video.
Unless someone is a contractor familiar with these materials and methods, no one knows what you are talking about.
