    I don’t know how you’ve achieved this & i don’t want to know … i purchased the plugin yesterday… i spent a few hours on many scenarios to find the trick if there was any but this tool is THE tool for bass management & i’ve tried top plugins but this one is a true game changer !!! This is just the tool… amazing work.

    Love the plug-in. One suggestion though, it’s hard to see the mouse pointer without a feedback indication. Please avoid that in future.

    This thing is amazing, just bought the pro version. It's crazy that is makes things sound wider but sound even BETTER in mono. Wild stuff.

    Appreciate the video, would be cool if u guys can create also some videos about kelvin and unisum. And some examples with drums, instruments or for ex. the master channel etc.
    Or even some short videos, like the cable guys do for their product shaper box.

    So if it generates stereo harmonics of the bass which is pretty innovative and exciting in itself (hats off! Tone Projects), I think it might still mask other song elements in stereo space . So would there be extra work at a mixing stage to get them UNMASKED correctly?

    • @Tekkerue
      @Tekkerue Год назад

      ....well, it's only $30 off the bundle. Unfortunately, that's not enough of a savings to match what many other companies are doing this time of year, so I think I'm going to pass. That's a bummer as the bundle was towards the top of my Black Friday watch list.

    Question... isn't the mid monitoring mode different than summing to mono?

    • @FlotownMastering
      @FlotownMastering Год назад

      Nope. Common misconception :) Mid is simply left + right.

    Cool! But am i blind, or where is the pan control mentioned?

    • @FlotownMastering
      @FlotownMastering Год назад +1

      It's the mid/side knob :) It pans harmonics from centered at 0, to hard left/right at 50/50, to full antiphase at 100. So not exactly a traditional pan knob, but still a pan control.

    • @dinmentor
      @dinmentor Год назад +1

      @@FlotownMastering ok, in the video the harmonics moves from left to right though?

    • @FlotownMastering
      @FlotownMastering Год назад +3

      @@dinmentor yup. In stereo mode the harmonics track the original pan position of the filtered low end. So originally the bass panned from right to left, thus the harmonics followed it. I guess in retrospect I could’ve done a better job explaining that :)

    Hi Ian, this plugin looks very interesting!
    What is the Delta signal? Is the Sub filter a hi-pass filter or a low shelf?

    • @MOSMASTERING
      @MOSMASTERING Год назад +2

      Delta refers to just the changes that the plugin is making (other plugins have a delta option too. Sooth2, for example). It's not post prcessing, its THE processing, so you can hear what is being applied or altered in the signal.

    • @soundslikewater
      @soundslikewater Год назад

      @@MOSMASTERING Thanks man! I've seen it on Izotope. But as assumption is the mother of all f*ckups I thought I'd better ask.
      Do you by any chance know what type of filter is used for the sub?

    • @MOSMASTERING
      @MOSMASTERING Год назад

      @@soundslikewater I've not purchased Basslane Pro yet so I'm not sure of the filter types. I'd assume that it would be a HPF on a bass plugin. Shelf would just be like a volume control and would be too fiddly to set when dealing with such a small range. If you want sub control, you're better with a MB compressor I'd say.

    • @soundslikewater

      @@MOSMASTERING Thanks a lot man, I was hoping for an answer from @toneprojects. But it appears they are not reading their own feed. The plugin trial period has ended so I guess that was that. I will probably mail them to ask these questions.

    Why do you all promote your products insist on using "synthetic" music, without natural drums, natural bass, generally a music written by natural instruments? ..
    You know, there are people who still use them to write music.

      Usually it’s because electronic music is where stereo bass is most likely to occur. Not many bands have hard panned, double tracked bass guitars.

  • @Janomix
    @Janomix Год назад +1

    A good recorded and mixed track don't need artificial low-end "enhancements". Most people assume that a "big" bass or volume, are a good sound... The big mistake on the "modern days"...

    Ironically, the (audible mid frequencies in the) bass in the intro of the video is very audibly out of phase and would largely cancel in mono.

    • @FlotownMastering
      @FlotownMastering Год назад +11

      Not ironic at all :) The entire bass synth is intentionally completely in antiphase and disappears entirely in mono. I produced it as such to help highlight exactly what Basslane Pro can do with Mono Recovery (shown at 2:49) and Stereo Harmonics.

      @@FlotownMastering Ah yes, I totally missed the point - my bad! I encounter this issue so often when it's done accidentally, that I jumped by reflex!
