Whoa!!! Great man, simply fantastic performance. The talented genius Fabio August plays the Game tonight and shows how to join the powerfull and creative engine inside the man with the incredible on board features of this gear Casio CT-X5000.
this is a better built keyboard than most midi only keyboards because it has buit in sound and works with most midi soft-wares like native instruments. it cost less also
I have a low end Casio CTK 3200. I like the keys on it as a controller much better than the Alesis , M-Audio or 2 Akai controllers I have. I wish Casio made a controller with a built in class-compliant USB audio interface, with a few knobs and pads.
Casio used to make nasty 'toy 'Keyboards & unfortunately that 'stigma' is difficult to shake off especially when confronted by 'Brand Snobs', but trust me, those days are no more. I have been gigging Casios since the PX 330 came out then the PX 560 & have just brought a CT-X 5000 to arrange on & also teach Keyboards. These boards are brilliant at any price let alone what Casio ask . I can have an arrangement 'in the can' or Grade 6-7-8 exam registrations done & dusted on the Casio CT-X 5000 while I am still reading 10 pages of the 'first' manual & contemplating suicide trying to do it on a few of my pupils Korg PA 600 & 900s , complicated or what !!!
Philo, you are sooooooo limited in your vision. Casio was NEVER "nasty" besides which, you also have to know HOW you are using the sounds, how to MIDI track them and mix them. The following was done with a "primitive" MIDI sequencer and a Casio. Since you are so expert on Casio sounds, I'll let YOU tell ME which Casio this was done on. soundcloud.com/skyy38/one-paw-main-theme Oh, you are more than welcome, to play me one of YOUR productions on the keyboard of your choice, if you HAVE one, that is.
Yeah Philo, you can't "care less" because you don't know HOW to care, in the first place. Your first track on the Yammie, is without. Did you use all of the "pre-programmed stuff" on the keyboard, because I don't hear ANY originality out of it. It sounds flatter than a piece of plywood. Second track form the M3. YAWWWWNNNNNN!!!!!! And if YOU have to use a "naked chick" to push your point, then maybe you should get into another field, like Barber College. I don't hear ANY of your claims of "production" in these tracks-all I hear is another TROLL who doesn't like Casio.
Philo Beddoe, I suggest you look at the 'Blindfold' test by 'Piano man Chuck', when he favourably compares the Piano in the PX 560 with those in the Korg Kronos & the Kawai MP 11 both of which are over twice the price & (crucially for me!) the weight . Then there are the various reviews , especially the Bonners one where it is being compared favourably to a Nord by the reviewer ! No I don't perform in 'old folks homes , I play in a Soul Band, do a considerable amount of Studio work & also play a lot of Jazz with quality players who most certainly would not take kindly to me turning up with anything other than quality gear. As finance is not a major issue & I do also already own Yamaha, Roland & Korg Keyboards, do you honestly think I would 'waste my money' on another Casio if I was not happy with the previous ones I'd owned ? I suppose you are one of those 'Badge Snobs' who if buying in the PX 560 price range ,would prefer Korgs 'fantastic offering' the Havian 30, that has one poxy single Phone/line out , no Standard Midi sockets , & although it admittedly has better inbuilt speakers than the PX 560 ,sounds like an electrophonic piece of crap when connected to a decent amplifier . I also did not say that I couldn't figure out how to programme a Korg PA 600/900, & if I owned one I certainly would sus out all it can do. My criticism was that while I can radically, intuitively & quickly change registrations at 'the touch of a button' on pupils Roland's, Yamahas & Casios without referencing the Manual this is not so easy on the Korgs. I am talking about just 1 grade 6-8 examination piece that requires a Bass & Treble clef section split ( different voices in R& L hand) rhythm only, changing to a full on bass accompaniment with a different split point & various voice changes & altered octaves , then returning to a bass & treble clef section with different voices & split point to the first section etc. Yes you can do it on the Korg but that 'songbook' system is cumbersome & not quick to access & as for the so called 'Brazilian Samba' that was specified, my daughter has an old Yamaha PSR 413 that has a better Samba !! But look on the bright side, at least I don't have to use the profile name of a fictional film character whose co star was an orangutan to get attention !! 😂😂

Os timbres me soam bastante artificiais e secos.
Já fiz shows com ele e o som chegou bonito no P. A. Me surpreendeu positivamente!
Why have Casio not a "Software Editor INSIDE the CT-X5000" were you can see the "Midi Blocks", with, Copy, Paste and Erase ...were enough to have Fun to Compose a Song....BUT ONLY the Time Mensure to Edit ...nothing is Visible...but the Time....??? Sorry, why Casio you do that??? I had Buy the CT-X5000 when there were a "Sequencer Editor" Inside the Maschine. But this is the Point for me to say NO to that "Awesome Sounding Keyboard!" Too Sad!!!
Piece of crap! I bought one and I am deeply regreted! This junk not even has midi connection to another keyboards. Surreal low poliphony, horrible keys and useless sustain. There are many other problems but I will stop here. Avoid it

Korg EK-50 "Stereo PCM sound generator". My Casio Keyboard from the late 1980s had "PCM" sound (Pulse-Code Modulation). Korg & Yamaha don't have the best instrument sounds at this price.

Love that atomic organ sound at the end.

First time I've heard synth trumpet that didn't make me wince. Don't think I'll buy a Yamaha after all.
