Really nice video and general overview. I just purchased the CT-X3000 myself because I just *had* to see what Casio could pull off for $300. The last Casio I ever had was in 1986 and it was a very small keyboard for beginners. But the CT-X ... just wow, I can't believe how much they have included for the money. Sure, I've only owned it for a few days, so time will tell how it holds up, but my first impression is extremely good. Excellent sound quality, lots of features, great looks, nice feel. If this is a sign of more good things to come, then the future looks bright!
I've been puzzling over picking up a guitar or keyboard. I think your solos on this model have helped me decide. You can use this to "play" many instruments. All I have to do is learn to play! Haha!
Very nice review, Jeremy. But one question, are casio keyboard keys are as good as yamaha keyboard's, or is it like, they start producing noise and become loose very soon.
Hi Jeremy ! Congratulations for your great work ! All your videos, reviews and presentations are very useful for us. Tell me please, is there any differences betwen CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 regarding the plastic quality? I had both of them and it seems that the CT-X3000 is made by more rough textured solid plastic compared to CT-5000, at least in the non-mat parts. Did you notice this ? Also, is it posible that they are manufactured in different countries, Japan, China ?
Hi Jeremy! thanks again for your videos. Please can you please let me understand if the line CT-X is higher than the CT-S? Would this CT-X5000 be better than the CT-S500? and how does it compare to the Yamaha PSR-437? Appreciate your help, thanks a lot in advance, Regards from Peru.
It's a wonderful instrument. If only were battery driven also, had software to edit sounds and arrangements on pc, and midi in, out, thru . . . Excellent video
One more thing I read in the manual about the pedals. You don't have to plug in an expression pedal for the 2nd pedal port. You could input 2 identical Casio pedals and set one to sustain and one to sostenuto. I don't have two pedals to test though, but it ought to work.
Still learning about keyboard & piano using my dad's old WK1800, hopefully I can afford this ctx5000 soon. It's still a little bit expensive for my wallet but I think this keyboard is worthy
Casio has gone a long way esp with their sounds, esp the piano. Meanwhile, yamaha is stuck on their sound engine from 90s psr. I hear no difference in the piano of the Psr-e series, s750, in comparison with my 22-year old yamaha psr530.
sadly they've become lazy, since at that price range they practically has no competition for like two decades, but i think the situation will change now, CT-X series definitely will upset the establishment that PSR had
Hi Jeremy. I remember your Casio CT-X700 review and how you mentioned that, on that particular model, there is really no way to control the individual volume of tones when layering them together. Well, I went through the manual for CT-X5000, and it doesn't mention anything about fine-tuning the each individual tone's volume in the layer, either. I don't expect that this keyboard will be as feature-rich in the sound layering department as my Roland Juno DS is, but does it at least allow for some volume control of the individual layer parts? I used to have a Casio WK-3000, which had quite simple layering (only 2 tones), but it had a mixer, and I was able to control the volume of each tone in the layer. But, I don't know if this keyboard has an on-board mixer that would let me control the layer parameters like that.

Could you record a singing voice or several voices in one, or several of the 16 "MIDI Solo Tracks" available in the MIDI recording and this... Through the microphone in...??? (All of this apart from the "System Track" which is made up of another 16 tracks in the CT-X5000...) Thank you very much for your answer in advance.

Hello Jeremy, I was wondering if someone can send a midi file melody, that exists loaded on a DAW to the ctx5000 keyboard through midi , to have the ctx5000 keyboard to play the melody . Maybe this is a very specific question , but I thought that maybe you have explored such functions while testing this instrument...Again thanks for your high quality reviews!!

Hello Jeremy, I was wondering if this well built high quality keyboard is the same as the ctx3000 at $299 which I might buy. What I mean is stuff like the feel of the keys, and build quality. Also I really like the solo tenor sax, it actually sounds realistic. They should improve the solo soprano sax.
Greeting mr. See. I want to ask. Does this keyboard have to load style or song to the keyboard first before it can be played like e463/ek50. Or it can be played straight from the drive like bk.3 or psr s775. You now what i mean😂🙏
Thanks Jeremy. With Casio CT-X3000 or CT-X5000, how do you make it display the music notes played with the keys on the keyboard's screen? Is that not possible and only way is to connect it to a Android tablet as the host with the Chordana app?

I bought a Casio CTK-2100 many years ago for around $100, and was really disappointed. No velocity sensitivity, poor quality sounds, and low quality key feel. I am looking to buy a new keyboard to replace it, and right now, the CT-X5000 looks like it might be a great upgrade. I was worried that the key bed would be flimsy like the CTK 2100, but you say it feels pretty nice and sturdy, so I trust you. I'm going to get one soon! It looks like Casio has improved a lot in quality recently.
Hi Jeremy, Any suggested stand for these keyboards. I have small children at home, and I am a little bit worried. So is there any option which is very stable and which can somehow attach / lock the keyboard in the stand? Thanks a lot, Roberto
I think this keyboard came from the same family of XW or at least with a lot of similarities, what I notice in the XW (because I had one) was during a performance it would occasionally lag and this was the major factor for me selling it and I'm sad to find out after listening to some demo's that the problem seems to have carried over to this keyboard as well because I hear those dropouts when some styles were played. I think most people won't notice because they'll think it's a video dropout but no, it's the actual keyboard. 😔
Hi , this model or the Yamaha PSR 473 ?, looking to create my own tracks and want a sequencer and editable drums that I can arrange , what is your suggestion, appreciated
Is this keyboard worth getting now in 2020? I want a new keyboard and looking around, what is a good one to recommend below 1000 Canadian dollars? Love the videos man keep it up! I do like this keyboard but isn't it old now or still good in terms of modern.. thanks.. also would you consider this beginner, middle or pro?
Hey Jeremy, I have played the CT-X 5000 with its original speakers and CT-X 800 put to an amp, but I can't hear any difference in pure sound quality. Have you heard differences ???
I have yamaha psr 670 and casio ctx 5000. When I play the casio it feels like I am playing with a real band. The yamaha styles are wellmade and complex but it sounds more artificial.
Hakan since you have both, how's the keybed on the Casio ctx5000 compared with your Yamaha? I owned an entry level Casio in the past and the keybed was very flimsy. I found the Yamaha psr keys to be very solid and have some nice springy resistance
I don't think so. I have not seen any built-in tutorial features. You can mute parts to play along, but there's no lesson oriented features. I think this keyboard is aiming for more experienced players or beginners who learn on their own.
The sound reproduction on this keyboard is outstanding. Aided and abetted by the powerful speakers. If you are also an owner. Try out #228 described as SlowStStr. I take it to mean slow strings. A fantastic sound.
Also take in consideration that the Korg Kross 2 is a Workstation, not a Personal Arrenger. The Korg has a very nice drum track for any program or combi available and you can even sequence your own drum tracks, but it doesn't have the auto-companion features (fills, grooves, auto-chord) that the Casio CTX5000 has.
Would it be better to buy this then "grow" in to the Korg Pa1000? or just jump straight in Jeremy? I dont wish to be overwhelmed....This sounds good the way you play it.
I concur about the difference between the steel string and nylon string guitar sounds. Too bad, because other Casio's have good steel string sounds, too. Over all, this is another really good keyboard from Casio, in my opinion.
Hey Jeremy.... Just wanted to ask... I play a lot of downloaded Midi files on my PA600... But is this CTX5000 or 9000 any good for that... Can they deliver good sounds on downloaded Midi files.... Or can u suggest me any other cheaper keyboards for the same purpose... I like PA300.. but I m out of budget
hi sir, this is mudassar from india..i am a beginner..plz suggest me which one should i pick from ctx 9000IN, psr e463, psr i455, ctx 7300IN..or anything else which u can suggest me ?
Hi Jeremy, this is some great information. . I'm ready to buy either the CTK-5000 or the WK-7600. Is there any difference other than the number of keys? Are the speakers the same? Are the tones and settings about the same for each? I'm still a bit mixed up about differences between 'arranger' and 'work station" All I want is to be able to compose accompaniment for my choir and occasionally just play for entertainment or Karaoke functions. I know that some are battery option and some are not. Thanks
I am looking at the Korg ek50 and the Casio ctx5000. Here there is a $200 difference in price. What is putting me off the Korg is I have read it's based on the pa50 series which are old voices,? While the Casio will be newer more lifelike voices. So is the korg ek50 still using the old samples voices of the pa50? I would prefer more realistic voices over the older outdated pa50 based voices and styles? Or is the ek50 using updated voices? Mind you still have a Yamaha EL70 organ and still impressive to this day. I am a geek so Casio being hard is subjective. It's just the casio looks more versatile with the more modern voices.
Dear Jeremy, I'm still struggling to create new voices and styles (Rythems) with my Keyboard. Therefore I appreciate if you can do simple instruction file on that.

Hey Jeremy, I have played the CT-X 5000 with its original speakers and CT-X 800 put to an amp, but I can't hear any difference in pure sound quality. Have you heard differences ???
which one sounds better? this or the korg ek 50? thanks
A Great teacher you are Jeremy.
Any issues with keys in long term use?
I have yamaha psr 670 and casio ctx 5000. When I play the casio it feels like I am playing with a real band. The yamaha styles are wellmade and complex but it sounds more artificial.
Hakan since you have both, how's the keybed on the Casio ctx5000 compared with your Yamaha? I owned an entry level Casio in the past and the keybed was very flimsy. I found the Yamaha psr keys to be very solid and have some nice springy resistance
Wow Jeremy I got really amazed by it. Sound seems like very cool. I'm in a keen interest to watch future videos from this Keyboard.
Does the CTX-3000 or CTX-5000 have a learning platform built in? Like does it teach you to play some of the stored demo's?
I don't think so. I have not seen any built-in tutorial features. You can mute parts to play along, but there's no lesson oriented features. I think this keyboard is aiming for more experienced players or beginners who learn on their own.
Yamaha psr ew425 or casio ct-x5000?which one is better overall?
Good review, it have Balkan or Arab sounds? I like the keys, it’s a good keyboard for his price.
Yes!!
This vs Yamaha EW410, which is a better pick?
Looks great. Curious how these keys feel compared to EK-50
Key feel I prefer EK50.
Why?

The sound reproduction on this keyboard is outstanding. Aided and abetted by the powerful speakers. If you are also an owner. Try out #228 described as SlowStStr. I take it to mean slow strings. A fantastic sound.
Hi jeremy! Its such a nice keyboard
Hi, I was thinking of choosing between this and a korg kross 2, which would be better? I’ve never had a workstation before haha
Korg Kross 2 would be far superior, but also pricer. If you can afford it, go with the Korg.
It has a good sound chip but it is no where near as capable as the PA1000. And the interface can be frustrating.
I concur about the difference between the steel string and nylon string guitar sounds. Too bad, because other Casio's have good steel string sounds, too. Over all, this is another really good keyboard from Casio, in my opinion.
My opinion is also Same
Hey Jeremy....
Hi sir I want to use Yamaha styles on my Casio ctx is it possible to convert Yamaha styles to Casio format??
hi sir, this is mudassar from india..i am a beginner..plz suggest me which one should i pick from ctx 9000IN, psr e463, psr i455, ctx 7300IN..or anything else which u can suggest me ?
Is that good for Beginner sir Jeremy?
Hi Jeremy, this is some great information. . I'm ready to buy either the CTK-5000 or the WK-7600. Is there any difference other than the number of keys? Are the speakers the same? Are the tones and settings about the same for each? I'm still a bit mixed up about differences between 'arranger' and 'work station" All I want is to be able to compose accompaniment for my choir and occasionally just play for entertainment or Karaoke functions. I know that some are battery option and some are not. Thanks
It seems that the sound generation engine is completely different. The CTK 5000 has the new AIX
@@MayoVox no ctk board has the AIX sound source, that is exclusively for the CTX series boards, all ctk boards have the ZPI sound source
I found a "seq" Option on the screen bt can u please explain how to enable it...
Casio CTX5000 sounds like the right one for you.
Good introduction. I'm a CTK-7200 user and would like to have a comparison between CTK-7200 and CT-X5000.
Dear Jeremy,
I'm still struggling to create new voices and styles (Rythems) with my Keyboard. Therefore I appreciate if you can do simple instruction file on that.
