When the Greybeards recognize you as Dragonborn in the MQ they bestow that title upon you and I imagine that's what Kyne is referring to by comparing/calling you Wulfharth.

The Scarab is Lorkhan, iirc. It's mentioned as such in the 36 Lessons of Vivec, when Vivec quotes Mephala's speech "We pledge ourself to thee, the Scarab, the frame-maker...". Ysmir is usually referred to Wulfarth but it's more of a title instead of a real name. Anyway, Wulfarth is known as the Grey Wind and the Storm of Kyne (which is the female voice in the trailer for sure). BUT... Ysmir is also Talos. And also the last Dragonborn. The greybeards call us Ysmir in Skyrim. So, "last of your kind", the last Ysmir... is the last Dragonborn. And the cherry on top... Wulfarth is an Ysmir and he's considered an Avatar of Shor (which is Lorkhan). So maybe every Ysmir in time is also an Avatar of Lorkhan. It all makes sense, if you think it this way, that the last Dragonborn wants to revive the heart of Lorkhan 😬
I think the references to Ysmir may be because the LDB is basically trying to mantle Talos. It makes sense because Ysmir Wulfarth was an integral part of Tiber Septim’s own apotheosis.

What we have to understand about Talos is that he is the sum of the souls of 3 individuals, each one represents a "class" within the universe of TES. We have Hjalti (Thief), Zurin (Mage) and Wulfharth (warrior). Also, in the lore, Kyne is described: "She is considered the widowed warrior wife of the god Shor" that this moving the threads to return Lorkan would not be so crazy.

This seems like a pretty good mod in the making, i always love those big scope mods where you get to save the world again (personally im of the opinion Skyrim should have had more DLCs, no idea what Todd was thinking given how much he likes money). As an aside, im not sure on which side i stand on the apotheosis/transcend kalpa-existance question. On the one hand i do think that Lorkhan was right about everything and its the elves fault if they cant appreciate the little things in life. But on the other hand i do also agree with Paarthurnaax when he says that everything that begins must also come to an end and that Alduin (The End) is Akatosh greatest achievement + also with Sotha Sil when he describes the world as "broken but beautiful" despite also being aware of the limitations of his universe, he even described his own death as merely a natural function. So yeah not sure how Kyne and Lorkhan would react to a Prisioner player character telling them a limited mortal life was the greatest gift they gave to mortals. Was it all according to keikaku or did they expect more at that point?

What an intriguing mod, i've been following its progress in the skyrim modding subreddit. I however disagree with your theory on numidium making an appearance. I would instead go as far as to theorize that the dwemer might be involved in this mod one way or the other. Either the dwemer are going to somehow return when Heart of Lorkhan is recreated (kind of crazy and unlikely) or maybe some surviving remnants of the dwemer colonies will be discovered, or maybe ya boy Yagrum Bagarn will make a comeback.

Quick google search of scarab symbolism says it’s a symbol of life, death, resurrection, etc. what comes to mind when I hear “failed scarab” is someone, in this case a shezzarine, who failed to bring about the resurrection of some thing which is the function of a scarab in some interpretations of Egyptian myth and this woman is basically telling us “hey do your job”. Alternatively, Scarabs are supposed to ward off disease and death and Tamriel is diseased and dying a slow death.
I know this is an old vid but hopefully you see this. In the 36 lessons of Vivec, Boethiah is said to refer to Lorkhan as a scarab which lines up with the focus of this mod being Lorkhan's shattered heart.

I'm only hyped for Skyrim mods so far. Other games barely interest me. Also check out Berserk the skeleton dude looks the same and there is an event called the eclipse and also the amulet with the eyes. I bet there will be something related to the godhand.
Two things I have to say: First, that The Elder Scrolls mythology is extremely confusing, convoluted, and has lots of contradictions. One sich strange thing is the fact that identity apparently means nothing in TES. Anu and Padomay birth their own souls, and thus Anui-El and Sithis are born. But wait, isn't the soul supposed to be what gives someone their identity? Did they give birth to themselves? And then somehow their souls became something other than themselves? They hint at the fact that their souls (Anui-El and Sithis) are actually really just themselves. So now there's two of themselves. And then Anui-El births her own soul and thus Auriel/Akatosh is born. Which are actually just themselves, again. And then, some say Sithis birthed his own soul from which Lorkhan was born, but this isn't confirmed, because again, conflicting accounts and confusing lore. But if we assume this to be correct, then Lorkhan is actually just Sithis, and therefore is just Padomay. And Auriel/Akatosh is just Anui-El and therefor just Anu. But wait there's more, cause the leading hypothesis right now is that all the Shezarrines shared the same soul, therefore are actually just the same person reborn. And all the Dragonborns share the same soul and are the same person too, which is why the last Dragonborn (the player character in Skyrim) constantly gets confused with other people such as Hjalti (Talos), Ysmir, and so on. But wait, there's more, cause apparently the shezarrines are reincarnations of Shezarr and therefore Lorkhan. And the Dragonborn is implied to be a reincarnation of/the soul of Akatosh/Auriel because guess what? When you go to Akatosh's realm, Sovngarde, it turns out Akatosh is coincidentally not there at the moment. Oh wow. Couldn't it be that Dragonborn is Akatosh? Yes, yes he is. Therefore, all in all, the Shezarrines are acrually the soul of Lorkhan (who is kinda dead but kinda still hangs around and can be called upon), who is actually the soul of Sithis (but Sithis still exists, so how can Lorkhan possibly be Sithis' soul?!) who is actually Padomay's soul, and the Dragonborns including the main character of skyrim is just the soul of Akatosh/Auriel therefore Anui-El therefore Anu. Only, I guess, with their memories of their previous identities locked. So yeah, in short, you mentioned Wulfharth and said hoe could Kyne possibly be talking to both Wulfharth and the main character of Skyrim? Well, it's cause they're the same person. Same soul, different body. And the second thing I wanna say is I really don't like the story being based on the assumption that the Annotated Annuad is true, because it's just a book, written by a guy, and both contradicts other known facts (for instance says the Daedra are all only of Padomaic blood and the Aedra are a mix of both, but Mara was once an Aedra, and therefore not pure Padomaic blood), and in general contradicts lots of other bits of lore like the Monomyth. Both are not reliable in that both are likely to contain some truth and some errors. So, making the story as if one of them is completely true seems like a mistake to me. Also, can you imagine the Dragonborn (the soul of Akatosh) absorbing the power of Lorkhan?
Can I point out one statement you made? You said Sovngarde is the realm of Akatosh and he is not there. But is it the realm of Shor Nordic version of Lorkhan? Aludin the first child of Akatosh of all the places went to Sovangrade to consume the souls and possibility of destroying that place. Maybe because Aludin knows his dad Akatosh had a history with Lorkhan was doing him a favour?

I realized my mistake a few days after I wrote that, and it took me into a whole other rabbit whole of "what if the dragonborn somehow is a mix of both Akatosh and Lorkhan?" Obviously we can't base our assumption that the dragonborn isn't just Akatosh but also Lorkhan because Shor wasn't there that one time he went visit. It's not enough evidence. But it's food for thought. My brain was too smooth and tired when I drove into that rabbit hole so I gave up researching. But I might give it another try some day.

I find Dark Souls lore easier to understand and there isn't much lore of it but requires digging history from interacting with NPC or reading item descriptions. The Last DB could be mix of both he does get attention from Daedras too or maybe just Skyrim Daedra quest mechanics we get alot Daedric artifact but none from any Adera.

They hint at the fact that their souls (Anui-El and Sithis) are actually really just themselves. So now there's two of themselves. And then Anui-El births her own soul and thus Auriel/Akatosh is born. Which are actually just themselves, again.
And then, some say Sithis birthed his own soul from which Lorkhan was born, but this isn't confirmed, because again, conflicting accounts and confusing lore.
But if we assume this to be correct, then Lorkhan is actually just Sithis, and therefore is just Padomay. And Auriel/Akatosh is just Anui-El and therefor just Anu.
But wait there's more, cause the leading hypothesis right now is that all the Shezarrines shared the same soul, therefore are actually just the same person reborn. And all the Dragonborns share the same soul and are the same person too, which is why the last Dragonborn (the player character in Skyrim) constantly gets confused with other people such as Hjalti (Talos), Ysmir, and so on.
But wait, there's more, cause apparently the shezarrines are reincarnations of Shezarr and therefore Lorkhan. And the Dragonborn is implied to be a reincarnation of/the soul of Akatosh/Auriel because guess what? When you go to Akatosh's realm, Sovngarde, it turns out Akatosh is coincidentally not there at the moment. Oh wow. Couldn't it be that Dragonborn is Akatosh? Yes, yes he is.
Therefore, all in all, the Shezarrines are acrually the soul of Lorkhan (who is kinda dead but kinda still hangs around and can be called upon), who is actually the soul of Sithis (but Sithis still exists, so how can Lorkhan possibly be Sithis' soul?!) who is actually Padomay's soul, and the Dragonborns including the main character of skyrim is just the soul of Akatosh/Auriel therefore Anui-El therefore Anu.
Only, I guess, with their memories of their previous identities locked.
So yeah, in short, you mentioned Wulfharth and said hoe could Kyne possibly be talking to both Wulfharth and the main character of Skyrim? Well, it's cause they're the same person. Same soul, different body.
And the second thing I wanna say is I really don't like the story being based on the assumption that the Annotated Annuad is true, because it's just a book, written by a guy, and both contradicts other known facts (for instance says the Daedra are all only of Padomaic blood and the Aedra are a mix of both, but Mara was once an Aedra, and therefore not pure Padomaic blood), and in general contradicts lots of other bits of lore like the Monomyth. Both are not reliable in that both are likely to contain some truth and some errors. So, making the story as if one of them is completely true seems like a mistake to me.
Also, can you imagine the Dragonborn (the soul of Akatosh) absorbing the power of Lorkhan?

Can I point out one statement you made? You said Sovngarde is the realm of Akatosh and he is not there. But is it the realm of Shor Nordic version of Lorkhan? Aludin the first child of Akatosh of all the places went to Sovangrade to consume the souls and possibility of destroying that place. Maybe because Aludin knows his dad Akatosh had a history with Lorkhan was doing him a favour?
@@TheOmaraddy yes. Yes you are 100000% correct. I realized my mistake a few days after I wrote that, and it took me into a whole other rabbit whole of "what if the dragonborn somehow is a mix of both Akatosh and Lorkhan?"
Obviously we can't base our assumption that the dragonborn isn't just Akatosh but also Lorkhan because Shor wasn't there that one time he went visit. It's not enough evidence. But it's food for thought.
My brain was too smooth and tired when I drove into that rabbit hole so I gave up researching. But I might give it another try some day.
@@norielgames4765 No worries. I did enjoy your read and I did study too about the lore of Elder Scrolls but it's too much to consume and too wild XD. I find Dark Souls lore easier to understand and there isn't much lore of it but requires digging history from interacting with NPC or reading item descriptions. The Last DB could be mix of both he does get attention from Daedras too or maybe just Skyrim Daedra quest mechanics we get alot Daedric artifact but none from any Adera.
