The Arbs are looking great Aaron it is already coming close to covering the fence. When all Laura's flowers are flowering it is going to look like a masterpiece of color.
Googling fall/ autumn crops for the Uk as you are planting ooh so excited. Thank you for bringing so much information in such a wonderful way. Love to all xxxx
A good idea to bottom water your seed trays easier would be to put them in those long shallow underbed containers and fill those with water, it can water multiple trays at once
I reuse my white plastic tags by cleaning the marker off at the end of the season with some rubbing alcohol. Saves me from having to buy new ones all the time

Good Morning!🌞🥕🥦🥒 I can't believe we are talking Fall crops, time needs to slow down! But on that note, a great refresher on what to plant for a productive Fall crop season! 😃🌞🥕🥦🥒🌿
My BB squash has not done well much to my disappointment mi didn’t think I could try it as a fall crop and now I’m try again. Feeling hopeful. Love your videos.
One of the many reasons that I love watching your channel Laura, is the way you improvise to keep things simple. IE: using a hose to water inside plantings because watering cans were out of place. Your LACK of drama is inspiring. ☺
Always a good morning when the sun is shining on a cold winter morning watching Garden Answer with a hot coffee. I'm in New Zealand and always find it fascinating what crops you are planting in your seasons, we currently have our vegie gardens full of winter crops doing very well. What we plant is wildly different timing wise as we are a zone 10b and don't get the extreme temps in either direction and a lot more moisture year round than you, we even had flooding last summer in the height of our tomato production which ended up splitting most of the tomatoes that were on the vine. Love watching your videos and getting ideas.
Yay!!! It just started raining here in Kendall county Illinois and boy do we need it! I’m going to organize my seeds, place orders for bulbs and seeds and work inside today😀perhaps clean my potting shed and greenhouse too! This rain is making me so happy and inspired along with your video I feel I can get SO MUCH done today since I won’t be stuck watering for hours😊🌧☔️⛈🌂🌈
Do we ever! I'm on the border of Will/Cook. My day will be looking out the window, watching old videos of GA and cleaning my neglected house. Happy gardening!
Good morning from Virginia, this was the exact topic on my mind, last night going over in my mind what to pull and what to plant. I also had a poor garlic and shallot season....annoying. But I still have some to go through the winter. But as a gardener, I will keep on trying. :) all have a great day. Praying for Mom's speedy recovery.
Veggie gardening is so intimidating to me! I’ve been playing around with ornamental gardening for years but never had the space for a proper veggie garden until I bought my house. I do plant veggies and have successful yields on some things but I think I screw up more than my fair share. Watching you plan and plant your veggies gives me hope that one day I’ll have it all figured out! I usually follow what Jim Putnam is doing in his veggie garden. I live 2 hrs from him, half a zone warmer. Have a great weekend everybody!!
Hello from Utah! I hope your mom is doing better! She is in my prayers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and for sharing your daily family life. You have a wonderful family--love the cats too! You brighten up my days.
I’ve always grown flowers, but not very knowledgeable on vegetable crops. This year I’ve been trying out some easy veggies in my raised bed (because of you). I’ve had a lot of fun and enjoying my bounty. Now with this video I know how to plant for fall. I would have started too late without your advice. I love how you have a soft spot for any volunteer sunflowers. You even staked this one!! Made me smile this morning.
My gosh Laura when you were amending the soil and as you were spreading Biotone, i cant help but notice the amount of insects crawling on the soil. Proof that you have enriched them so well. Good job. Your videos are my nightly relaxation while drinking my evening coffee. Cheers from the Philippines! 🥰💐
I have tried growing tomatoes and strawberries this year for the first time, babied them every day and the deer got to them. So I ended up with four strawberries and even those didn’t look palatable. The amount of time I spent makes me think it’s just easier to get a container of berries on sale, but I don’t want to give up. Will see what the tomato plant will do , the deer ate the leader. Please send people like us your magical encouragement. Love, Katerina
Greetings, Laura, from Windermere Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 I'm excited to get a 2nd round of veggies in the Garden. We have 2 more months of scorcher temperatures and then our nights will begin to get closer to a cool 70° and only 80° days...perfect for growing. Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍 PS We had a mighty storm last night and I uploaded a short video to share 🌩🌧🌩
Laura, Thanks for the reminder on fall crops. I hadn’t thought of starting from seed this time of year (vs starts from earlier). Also you should know, I feel I have more confidence sharing what I know with others now. I spent this weekend helping my mother in law trouble shoot tree failure, bug problems, overgrowth and pruning. QUESTION: Do you cover the crops when you over-winter, such as garlic and carrots, for added warmth?
Good morning GA! For the ones in other places, good afternoon, good evening and good night!🤗☺ Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Another productive day in the garden for Laura!!!!🤗🤗💗💗

I really enjoy following along with your videos because sometimes I can feel spent and just too tired to get out in my garden. But those are just excuses that hold back progress and I’m constantly trying to improve my mental and physical health. So if I don’t allow those excuses to become reasons why not to get out and do something than I’m winning :)

Our first frost date in central Alberta, Canada, is technically mid to late September. It doesn’t always happen, but then again we had a freak snow storm in September in 2019, which was a cold, wet miserable year overall. I am always amazed by areas that have long seasons. Anything we plant needs to jump into germination and grow like mad. This Spring was cold and then it was cool and rained for most of June and the beginning of July. We are just getting hot now. No blooms yet on sweet peas, zinnias, asters, and my dahlias. But hope springs eternal for gardeners, and prairie gardeners in particular. 😉🌷🌸🌹
Keven at Epic Gardening recommended bottom watering as well. One of the best things I've ever started doing thanks to y'all! It's helped cut down on the watering a bunch for me.

Your gardens are so productive. Fun to find the sunflower blooming! I have my seeds spread out in the diningroom right now figuring what I should plant in spaces, so this was very timely.
I love these videos reminding me of my “next move” in the garden. I started planting “fall crops” 2 years ago following Laura’s advice, but I noticed that despite my last frost date is later than Laura’s, I couldn’t get to harvest the same way. It seems to me that sunny days/hours would also need to be considered. Here in the pacific north-west, we start the cloudy-rainy weather in September, which brings almost everything to still and although I don’t have freezing temps until late Nov, I don’t seem to have enough time to fully grow fall cabbages for example.
I sure wish we had your Garden Center here in the Salem Oregon area! We aren't able to get the information when we ask questions. I will heed your advice and start sowing when the weather is cooler here...whenever that'll be. Happy growing.
