"They don't make bad songs" That says it all. I grew up a HUGE Zep fan, but when they broke up, I started listening to other bands. And sure, there's some good music out there, but you can't find an artist who never writes a bad song. Zep spoiled us fans.
As an English-born metalhead, I think that black folks listening to (primarily) English metal (where the genre was born in 1970) is very interesting and refreshing. I've listened to a number of black commentators, who put forward some insightful observations. Excellent! Keep it up!
Yes, LZII, especially Ramble On. Best bass line in the world for me. I'm no bass guy but that one really is killer. How do make the bass that melodic? Genius.

It was fun watching you enjoy that. Its always fun watching young people discovering and enjoying older music. There are so many songs from the past that really were good. I don't blame young people for not wanting to listen to Simon and Garfunkle but I think it would be a shame iff when they were older they could not enjoy BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER. good music is good music. Of course you want to enjoy the music from your own time its part of not just youth culture but our culture as people alive right now. I just hope the people who are under 30years old now can find it when they are 60years old.
💜 watching you watching my favorite band EVER! The best band ever to grace this planet in my opinion. And Robert Plant - don’t get me started - if I would have come face to face with him back in the day, I’m sure I would have passed out! ❤️
So glad you're in the family now man. Started listening to them at 16 and yet never heard anything better at 47. If you wanna change the mood and pace go for Ramble On. Jean-François from Paris France.
The drums make this song so cool. When you get the guitars and drums going it's really fun to play. Just a fun tune with a lot of old blues feel and lyrics. These guys became the standard of heavy rock in the 70s.
Every song I see from this live performance is fire. Their version of In My Time of Dying in this show was spectacular. Also... good god... John Bonham is a mad man.
That was so cool, thanks a lot!! I haven't heard this version since I First seen TSRTS movie when it first came out ( they cut it differently in different versions of the movie and now I know I ain't just tripping!! Thank you!!
Love your reaction, you appreciate the top musicianship there's no doubt, but to see you smile and laugh is great too. Some fans can get so earnest about this music and take it way too seriously, but you see the fun and macho posturing in those lyrics too . It's brilliant rock 'n 'roll, but it's still rock 'n' roll, it doesn't always have to be a reverential reaction or looking for some deep meaning, it's great to just see you thoroughly enjoying it.
I saw this concert documentary at a drive-in theatre in mid 1970s. Everyone was outside their cars partying! My girlfriends loved Robert Plant and I fell for Jimmy. 💞✌
when they were jamming and writing the lyrics to this song there was a labrador retriever that used to roam the grounds, jimmy page used to feed it ... when the song was finished they couldn't think of a name for the song so called it black dog because they didn't know the labradors name ... in essence someone's pet has one of the most iconic funky blues rock songs dedicated to it, by the greatest rock band that ever lived
Remember with Led Zeppelin you get two versions of the same song when you hear studio and live. Their masterpieces are their recordings, but Live you get to see the showman and musicianship because they take great liberties with the music. Especially Jimmy Page and Robert Plant as his voice matured.
Brilliant observation and explanation. And so. That bein said. Frank zappa and them mothers(of invention) was jist like that. PS. The song Fool in the rain is really a different style for Led Zep . It features John Paul Jones on keyboard ( he plays everything ). But the best part is how the drums and the keys and guitar are following different time signatures and coming in and out at different intervals . This song really shows the incredible talent of the late John Bonham. Give this one a review
Black Dog is really interesting, because at first glance it seems like a simpler song of Led Zeppelin. But the timing on the instruments is actually what is so important. I have heard plenty of tribute bands trying and failing to do Black Dog right. It can sound like the instruments are clashing if the timing isn't just perfect. If you love drums you should hear "Bonzo's Montreux" on the deluxe Coda album. It is a drum tour de force.
jpj (jonesy) didn't want the spotlight. he gave an interview once from outside a hotel they were staying at where he stated he loved the anonymousness. the other three (page, plant and bonham) were stuck in the hotel and couldn't leave without a swarm of people while jonesey was out walking through the crowds unnoticed. he was/is an incredible musician, he could quite literally play anything

Oh yeah, sex was a big part of Zep's thing. And Robert was definitely into it. With that lion mane, swinging his hips around. Damn, he was yummy! (And that riff is one of the classic riffs - every guitar player knows that riff.) That clip is from The Song Remains the Same, their concert film. Do watch the whole thing sometime, you won't regret it!
LZ set the bar!! Untouchable!!! Bluesy rock at perfection!! This new rock band Greta Van Fleet making some Zeppelin noise. Those kids are rockin it out too! ❤️
Thank you for the awesome reaction and for pulling the Led out again! 🙌🏼💕 Led Zep in concert is pure SWAG. Robert Plant was tagged as ‘THE GOLDEN GOD’ and Jimmy Page ‘THE DARK PRINCE’ (because he had black hair, often wore black and was heavily into Alchemy.) Because of that and the symbols on their album covers, some claim they sold their souls to the devil for fame. I say it’s magical synchronicity that all four musical geniuses crossed paths to form the unbeatable Led Zep and as ☝️ force, they were definitely walking sex on a stick! 🔥💎🔥💎🔥 💎🔥 So united! The band immediately broke up after the drummer John Bonham passed away in 1980 as they considered themselves one unit and each member irreplaceable. ☝️✨⭐️💫
Legend has it that the lyrics were actually inspired by a black dog...... while they were at a castle recording the 4th album....they’d see a black dog everyday that’d run to the neighbors property and they were told that the neighbors dog was in heat...... and there yuh go...Black Dog...lol
In the EVENING!!!, its true they have no bad songs, but we all have "a" favorite song from them, thats one that reall struck me from the moment I heard it, that and then 10 Years Gone, its just amazing., Peace ✌
Love the fact that you Recognize John Paul Jones Bass playing!! Check out the Bass work on the song "HEARTBREAKER"!! BADASSED!! REALLY gotta see the ENTIRE CONCERT VIDEO OF LED ZEPPELIN LIVE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL 1970!! Other than Jimmy Page, the rest of the band barely out of their Teens!! MOBY DICK Highlights Bonham's Drum solo but Please Watch the Entire Concert !! GUARANTEED You Will be Absolutely Amazed!! John Paul Jones not only plays Bass BUT Also does Keyboard on the song "NO QUARTER " which is not on the concert mentioned BUT He wrote that piece and is Definitely noteworthy as well!! Thanks For Your Coverage and Input!!
John-Paul Jones and John Bonham are the secret weapons of Zep. Because, they’re so solid. Plant and Page are free to go where they need to. Because, they securely anchored to the songs by this amazing rhythm section.
I'd like to respectfully request you do a reaction to Led Zeppelin's NO QUARTER from their 2007 concert movie, CELEBRATION DAY. The late John Bonham's son Jason plays drums. Even in their mid-60's, these guys still killed it!
Love to see the black folks face with their smile when they hear I don't know but I've been told a big legged woman ain't got no soul.... Man if it wasn't for black blues you wouldn't be hearing this stuff. Many of the legendary bands of the 70's listened to blues, classical and who knows what else. But it is how this music was shaped. And of course the Beatles and maybe Elvis started it rolling.
Your great. Other reaction artists have said I grew up in the eighties, nineties and went to school with the kids sporting old concert tees. Thinking they were weird. Didn't understand them. We had our own genre of music. They proceed to say now I get it. Also saying if I just listened to one of those songs I'd be sporting old concert tees also lol
I like how Robert Plant's voice is like another instrument in the band. I've never noticed that with any other group. Usually there will be an instrument playing the melody & the singer follows it, but Roberts voice often is carrying the melody alone while the band does what it does.
If you haven’t seen it yet, watch the reunion concert, they did in 07,celebration day,at the o2 arena in London !Apparently, they sold tickets on line, they had over 20 million people try to get them, and crashed the website !
I was fortunate enough and old enough :-) to see them live in 1977 at the Capitol Center in Landover MD. They were the only band and played for over 3 hrs (at least what my memory says..). Easily one of the best live bands ever. Need to do the Immigrant Song. They started the second half of the concert wit that song. John Bonham's son Jason Bonham carry's on the torch. He actually used to sit in on practice sessions with the original band when he was young and the rest of the band said they could not tell the difference.
I don't believe any two live performances were the same. Similar, perhaps, but the band had such room for improvisation and constantly had little drum fills and guitar riffs that were specific to that performance, This speaks to the reference of Page's "sloppy" playing; many elements of his solos were impromptu and spontaneous. Mistakes were expected, but that is the price of genius. Edison had over 1000 attempts to create the light bulb. More from that MSG concert: The Song Remains the Same and No Quarter.
You should hear/react to "What Is And What Should Never Be" off the album Led Zep II. It's a masterpiece and 'reaction tubers, (maybe only 1?), haven't "discovered" it yet. The song gets "covered" by artists all the time. Plant sang it himself as late as 2017. I have no idea what the collective dissonance is? p.s. there's really not a lot of argument that Bonham was GOAT drummer, Page, Plant and Jones, though, all would have plenty of competition for that title but all would make the top 20. Still the band, as a whole, are GOAT on my list of bands.
Robert Plant has the thing. You don't know what it is but you know who has it. Really the whole band together is pretty legit. Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath really pioneered what you hear today across the metal landscape.

I grew up in the 60's I love rock and metal I was a singer in different bands
LZ set the bar!! Untouchable!!! Bluesy rock at perfection!! This new rock band Greta Van Fleet making some Zeppelin noise. Those kids are rockin it out too! ❤️
Another Great Job T!!!!
lol Plants got the "LEO" swag!! 😙😯😋🤘
So united!
The word is that the band sat at a lot of tables in various clubs with lots of soothing activity goin on underneath.
Lol
This is the best of the best and best there ever will be. Enjoy!!
Amusing to see someone just discovering my all-time favorite band, but good for you...try Ramble On!!
Led Zeppelin fan are called " Led Heads" thank you very much🤟😜 hey! and listen to all their tracks 👌
Stairway to my favorite it will blow you away
Great reaction! Love your laugh after every verse! 😅 Robert Plant rules!
Thats a Masterpiece .
I too listened to both Metal and Hip-Hop.
Recommended - Led Zeppelin - How Many More Times (Denmark Radio 1969) One if their first live performances.
Will no one acknowledge that that song rolls hard five over four?
I like how Robert Plant's voice is like another instrument in the band. I've never noticed that with any other group. Usually there will be an instrument playing the melody & the singer follows it, but Roberts voice often is carrying the melody alone while the band does what it does.
Whole lotta love live 1973
Bro, in the light. Greatest drop ever!
Shamefully overlooked. A masterpiece
Real led heads never overlooked JPJones, he's the lattice that the others build upon
FOOL IN THE RAIN PLEEASEEE
I don't believe any two live performances were the same. Similar, perhaps, but the band had such room for improvisation and constantly had little drum fills and guitar riffs that were specific to that performance, This speaks to the reference of Page's "sloppy" playing; many elements of his solos were impromptu and spontaneous. Mistakes were expected, but that is the price of genius. Edison had over 1000 attempts to create the light bulb.
More from that MSG concert: The Song Remains the Same and No Quarter.
There is a live version of Immigrant Song by Zep on here that is fantastic. It's poorer quality, but Bonham beats those drums into a smoking crater😂
I was at this concert in N.Y. in 1977 Madison square garden.
You have to react to “ Whole Lotta Love “ and “Dazed and Confused “ live at Madison Square Garden
TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT!!!
Greatest band ever
Led Zeppelin ✌😎🇺🇸
Robert Plant has the thing. You don't know what it is but you know who has it. Really the whole band together is pretty legit. Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath really pioneered what you hear today across the metal landscape.
You just got a subscription. If you haven’t seen it yet, THE Led Zeppelin video you need to check out is How Many More Times Live in 1970. It’s nuts.
