- My family recipe for Thai Pork & Omelette Soup. This classic Thai home-style dish takes the fluffy Thai streetfood omelette and serves it up in a pork soup with pork meatballs. This is the stuff that makes the world a better place...when you're sick, sad or just need a hug LOL.

Three years later, I finally made this soup. Had a leftover piece of pork belly. Boiled it in the broth w aromatics. Then chopped up into small pieces. And since it was smelling so much like chicken soup, I threw in some thin udon noodles. DO make the garlic oil. A spoonful on top of your bowl takes this soup next level. Soooo yum!
This was a lifesaver. I was initially skeptical about putting omelette in soup (?!) but made this yesterday and was blown away by how good the omelette pieces taste after soaking up the flavourful liquid! Just what I needed on a sick day. BTW, I used prawn stock and chicken - all's good. Thanks for another winner!
Soup is soul comforting and heartwarming, thanks for this amazing recipe Queen Marion!
I tried it and the garlic oil really makes this soup shine! It's really good!
It’s Keto friendly without even trying to be, which I love! I’m gonna make this for sure.
We had this delicious soup tonight. Wonderful fragrant broth, the garlic oil was an added plus. The fluffy omelet in this soup is spot on. Definitely a ten all around. Thank you, Marion.
Woohooo! Thanks so much for coming back to let me know you liked it! :-)
Any garlic lovers would visually see that 1:55 is like a mouthgasm!!!!!
I loved this recipe! Thank you! I made some changes though - I am Chinese and decided to give a Mandarin flavor to the meat adding 1Tbsp of light soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and a dash of white pepper to the meat. I also put a tablespoon of sesame oil in the egg mix and only fried it a very thin layer of oil, adding the sesame oil into the mixture added that deep savory fried flavor and added some fluff. Thank you Marion, it was delicious!
Hi Marion!! How does it feel to almost be at 200k subscribers? So happy for you!!
Thank you for noticing Alya! I feel extremely grateful that I can share my recipes with so many people! Very happy!
You cook so delicate and fresh and absolutely authentic. I am also mixed, half philippine and switzerland. And I love the cooking skills of my mother and now yours too.👌💖
Another great recipe Marion. My Thai friends are impressed with my Thai specialties thanks to our little secret. Between you and Pai, the immagination for Thainess cooking is endless.
Making this now and it smells and tastes great. Thank you for sharing this simple recipe.
Great video, Marion! I’m always elated to find Asian recipes that are low carb and high protein.
Made this for my daughter because she had a summer cold and wow she felt better and asked for more
Just made this. So quick and yummy! Added some oyster mushrooms too
Truly fabulous! The smell is incredible! I make this all the time.
Your recipe inspired me to make egg “pasta”. 1 tsp water per beaten egg to lie flat. After it’s cooked, I cut the egg in strips to make spaghetti, linguine and fettuccini. It’s works great for me in your recipes with noodles.
Not a fan of pasta substitutes of any kind at all, so this is a lifesaver.
Omg that looks AMAZING! So Easy.. can't wait to try this one
Wow.. the soup looks like liquid gold 😍🤤 it looks so good and delicate! I love it ma'am and love the video! I wish i could taste it...
I love every single one of your videos. Your accent is adorable. Your fashion is spot and if course the food!!! Omg the food is so good. Your recipes are so easy to follow. I’ve done so many and I just love to watch you cook!!!
Definitely making this!! Ginger makes everything better! 🤗
This is AMAZING!
Super simple, super comforting.
I live in Colorado mountains in a small cabin and eat a lot of soups and stews. I always end up making egg drop soup for breakfast. After making this I did an alternate version, same kind of recipe.
I made the omelette with diced onions and peppers and used ground spicy pork sausage and added fresh spinach at the end:)
Thanks for sharing!
My grandmother (chinese) make omelette soup but the omelette has Tang Hoon (thin vermicelli) so it's really filling :)
Oh my god i tried this best soup ever thank you so much Marion for sharing this recipe♥️♥️♥️👏👏👏
Started watching your channel the other day and I'm hooked, your food looks so fresh and delicious! Mama Noi is so sweet and funny also! Planning on making garlic oil and chilli oil sometime this week, are there any other infused oil flavors that you like or recommend?
I loved this soup made this for the bestie/ love of my life it was 100% great.
This is amazing.. will try it with chicken mince.
I was just thinking of making Thai omelette tomorrow... guess I’ll have to try this!
As always LOVE IT!!!😍😍😍

I’m making this tonight!
I love this. I have ground turkey for the meatballs and 2 chicken carcases for home made broth.
Thank you so much. Truly grateful for this I’m prepping print it out! Awesome
Hi Marion, Tq so much for the recipe. It's so great. My meal after a long day of work
I’m almost finished, but I am making this dish right now.
Love it
I wish it was cold in QLD, cause there's nothing like a great soup when it's cold. That would be so delicious, love ginger.
You'll have to save it for when the cool temps arrive Graham!

Woohoo! I started my Monday in Marion's kitchen and I'm ending my Monday in Marion's kitchen. I can't think of a better way to start and end my day. Thanks for another awesome video Marion! 💗
Thank you as always Roby!!!
I never knew this existed until now. Thanks!
Hi Marion! I am new to your channel, joined about 2 weeks ago, and I am loving it! I just have a general question: Is there anything you can do with the aromatics after removing them from a soup? Reusing in another stock perhaps? Any ideas?
Stay awesome!
Love, love, love this soup...thanks for the wonderful recipe. :0)
my mom would also add glass noodle in the pork balls, so yummy!
I bet that taste great
Omgoodness Marion you've fone it again.
Amazing! ❤️
I just finished making pork stock, love this recipe but also your won tons.
Sharon Parker I really hope that pun was intentional 😍😍😍

You deserve at least one million subscribers
Looks so amazing 😋
Love your recipes.
Thank you Alma!
Hi Marion thank you for sharing your beautiful recipes just wondering what fish sauce you use plz qld aust and what is a good Vietnamese fish sauce here as well thank you
I'm thai but it is not very often I see a dish that sounds so tasty :P
What would be a good vegetable to add to the soup? I hate veggies but I soup is perfect way to eat them and mask taste somewhat. Cabbage? Corn?
This looks so delicious! I have to try this recipe! Can I ask which chicken stock do you use? Or do you make it from scratch?
I always try to test my recipes with store-bought stock because I know that's what most people will tend to use. But at home I love to make my own stock and keep loads of it in the freezer. I use a local brand of stock here in Thailand but as a rule of thumb I go for the most natural store-bought stock I can find :-)
Hi Marion! Which brand of store bought chicken stock are you using? I've tried one branded one and didn't like it one bit. Do you have a special recipe for making your own chicken stock or just use chicken bones? Thank you for sharing all these delicious recipes.
wow!
I made it and it so delicious. Just follow her recipe then next time may be you can add cellophane noodles and green leaves.
Can you make recipes of seafood like fish, tuna, octopus, squid or lobster?
@marion'skitchen what is the brand of the pan you cooked the omelette in? Thanks, this dish looks great.
Will the soup be oily - Fried omelette with mince pork & garlic oil?
Love all your recipes also youre gorgeous 👏👏👏
Aw thank you!
Hi Marion, can you cook Pork Salpicao.. thank u
Love you
I miss my mom’s soup!😢
Would this dish normally have celery leaves too? Or am I confusing this with another dish?
how long is the shelf life of the garlic oil?
I usually keep it for about a week :-) After that the garlic seems to taste a little stale :-)
The way you speak remind me to catriona gray.
What Oil do you use mainly in your cooking?
I generally use vegetable oil, rice bran oil or peanut oil. These are all great for Asian food because they have a neutral flavour and have a high smoke point 😊👍
@@Marionskitchen Thank you! It is on the shopping list :)
You eat this when you're sick but it's not spicy? Whaaaa?
😂😂😂It's true that most of my dishes are spicy! LOL. But this one is good for an upset stomach....pretty much the only time when I don't eat spicy food!
Can you start adding the name of the dish in thai? 😊
Great idea! I'll keep that in mind. And FYI....this one is ต้มจืดไข่น้ำ Tom Jued Kai Nahm :-)
Marion's Kitchen Thank you! You are so nice.. 😊
Is this even a Marion recipe without chilli??
lol haha
Marion i just found you...can u tell a bit more about yourself...im always curious about YT chefs ...!!
Wow, I didn't think anything but hardboiled egg could go in soup, I've been proven wrong with that omelette.
I followed the recipe, but the pork was kind of dry...the broth was alright but rather bland... I'm used to more flavorful broths in other asian cuisines. Overall, I probably won't be making this one again.
But.... I wanted Mama Noi!! 😩😩😩😩
Totally keto
i hope meat cooks so early 🙄
