Since we have been watching your shows for at least 5 years we decided to take a trip to Thailand. We were there for 6 weeks and I cooked in our little hotel room. The market was just downstairs from the hotel and I was making soups and stir frys, The sellers quickly realised what I was trying to do and made up packages of spices and vegetables for me. When we got home to AUstralia I couldnt stop thinking about our trip and the beautiful people. My husband had learnt to count in Thai and I learnt a few words. I started looking online for rentals in Chiang Mai. Then I came up with the idea to move to Thailand. It took over a year to organise it. We have lived here now for 6 months and everyday I feel blessed and am so happy. I love the markets , the people , I am learning the language and even my Lazada driver teaches me words. Thank You Marion so much you changed our lives. I cook everything from your channel. I am very happy for you and your family that you are so successful. You deserve it all. We love you and mama Noi. bless you. Ka

This lady is truly amazing. I have so much love for Marion and her cooking skills, but homegirl is literally a flippin' unit. She is doing A LOT more than cooking, she is a businesswoman and holy moly such an amazing one. She stays true to her herself and longer content is fantastic. You can chill and watch it, put it in the background or put it on when you sleep. Much love to everyone on her teams too. This can only be achieved by the right people on your side.

yes, to longer videos! your channel, along with Pailin's Kitchen and Maangchi, are my favorite 'Asian Culinary Translation' channels. not only do you explain how to make a dish, you also take time to teach people who are new to those ingredients, or combinations of flavors, or even just how to serve and eat the finished dish. my family is originally from the Caribbean, so i remain in awe of how many of the same ingredients are used in our two cuisines, but in such drastically different ways. your mom reminds me of both my grandmothers, with the 'nothing wasted' approach to cooking.

I also watch Maangchi and Pailin regularly, along with Marion. And an Indian guy dont get his name now, starts with R..... wait: Ranveer. They all have the same approach to cooking and eating that i so much appreciate and love. It's all about culture, traditions, happiness, sensorial experience, family, social, respect, no rush, enjoyment.

I would also bet that the teams you have around you are also treated like family. You deserve every success you have coming your way. Years of hard dedicated work and now you can call the shots how you want. Thank you for being a very nice role model for women. You keep family at your side and include them. As you get bigger and more famous world wide, you haven’t become a private part. Well done Marion! You have kept what works for you by staying true to you. I’m really happy to hear that. Don’t be suckered into all these social media algorithm. I find myself giving lesser and lesser appreciation for those reels and shorts. But in reality, those take just as much effort. And I don’t think that gives justice to the people who are involved in putting out content. To your point of sharing more of your life and experience, the idea of “from farm to table” is really what I want to see. Not polished videos. Not pretty staging or perfect kitchen. How meals are planned. How to take advantage of seasonal produce. Ingredients substitution - one recipe, several twists “same same but different”. I can’t wait to see that pivot! Thank you, Marion!!

Can I just say that the thing that drew me to your channel on my first viewing was your open, friendly, down-to-earth manner and how much I felt at home watching your show. I immediately subscribed. I adore your cooking and OMG, that smile!!! Even though you are a busy, successful business woman, creator, wife and mom, you made an old woman from the mountains of Western North Carolina feel like she's just popped in for a coffee and chat. I started cooking asian food from scratch during COVID lockdown because of your videos, Marion! I watched so many of your videos to pass the time that I finally got brave enough to mask up and head to the local asian grocery store with my list I dutifully wrote down ("things Marian says I need but I don't have...palm sugar, dark soy, lemongrass, Shiaoxing wine, galangal, etc...") I also started growing Thai basil in my herb garden and using cilantro root since I grow it for Mexican cooking! It started off tame but before I knew it I was putting hot peppers in my stir fry's! And it WAS your longer-form videos that helped me understand the techniques necessary to successfully make asian dishes I also don't love the short ones, though they do get attention. Now I rely on your recipes above all others. THANK YOU for everything you do. I miss your meal kits, though, since we can no longer get them in the U.S. They were a serious "go to" for me. I actually loved bringing them on vacations where I would be cooking because they made "travel dinners" easy. Maybe there is a way to partner with independent grocery stores in the U.S.? I am not sure how all of that works, but I know we still have small, independent grocery stores that sell specialty products over here. I would think there would be a way to tap into that distribution chain. I hope so! Again, THANK YOU.

Noooo please don't do away with your talking and the slower videos! I love them, it's like having an older sister I never had showing me the ropes and sharing her experiences. I especially love it when food content creators actually eat their food after cooking because it just convinces me that if I want to look just as satisfied, I should totally use that recipe. I have used a lot of your videos to learn how to cook and they never disappoint! I'm so happy that you have reached so many new milestones and that you chose to create instead of merely slapping your name on things. Congratulations and keep going!

Love the honesty in this video, Marion! As a long time viewer of yours, what draws me in to your content is your humour and personality that shines through when you are teaching us how to make your recipes. I did notice last year your slight pivot to more quick cut, short form content that made your videos feel like every other TikTok food creator out there. I missed this video, as I was looking for a rental and moving lol
Marion I’ve said it a lot, you inspire me ever since I watched your videos back in 2019, I was badly injured from a surgery I had done, I had to leave work as a chef of 20 years, I couldn’t work anymore, depressed and physically challenged/disabled, I started looking into RUclips and learning more about cooking and especially Asian and Italian m, I came across yours and that’s it, I was hooked, to your style, food, your voice, your recipes and the way you love food and cook from your heart.
I also write and create dishes, I also have a long trauma story and healing that also comes with food comes into play heaps in my life…. You’ve inspired me to think about what you do and that I can one day create something of my own…. You gave me a reason to live again and to want to be more creative and reopened and reignited my love for cooking and sharing that …. Food and coffee is life for me.
Anyway you have done amazing for yourself, the work, content, being a family woman, and being so humble about yourself and what you’ve created…. You should be so proud for Accomplishing what you have.
Yes to longer and slower videos , yes to behind the scenes and yes to more Thailand’s content and ingredients.
And more noodles and dumplings lol
    And thank you 🩵💛🩵💛

I sat here waiting for the hammer on fall "I'm going to stop because...". Your videos were so helpful to me during the pandemic, and a tough period of my life and really got me back into enjoying cooking. Hi Marion It’s Lori from Pittsburgh! HOORAY for slower, longer content!! 🎉 I have been a follower for a while now, and while I loved your recipes, I truthfully didn’t love the “rushed” format that you were recently doing. Your old videos were so relaxing, informative and inviting. The editing was spectacular! The rushed format wasn’t as joyful or relaxing to me and I didn’t get the vibe that you liked it either. Take the path least followed-knowing it’s your path. ❤️ Still waiting for you to make Thai pizza!🌺

The thing that happened that really helped is: once you were back in QLD and not having all the Thai things, you adapted for ingredients, and I would love to see more of that when you're in Australia. It also means that when you're in Thailand, I want to see how a Thai dish is actually made with the full recipe lists available.
There's a best of both worlds that you now have that is evident in your videos already, so I'm very happy to keep watching and subscribing! Thank you, Marion! (And Tim and Mama Noi and babies and Dax and your teams in Australia and Thailand)!

OMG Dear Marion you are my inspiration. I first saw you in 2010 from MasterChef Australia. I used to live then in Saudi Arabia. Me and my family loved you, your creativity and competent style. You were like a millstone to achieve. And your attitude to set goals and then working hard to achieve them and which you made so easy for people to learn and to achieve and with that positive approach and a smile on face just like yours, what a beautiful dream to come true. Then three years back I saw you on your RUclips channel. I felt so much like home and watching you achieved so much made me so happy for you. We said yes we knew that you will do amazing in your life. And just like what I needed today was this inspirational video of yours. I am at the lowest these days in my life and your words just pulled me out of some dark place. You says that we might have taken some blessed days as for granted and I agree . My spirit just got high again in very positive way. Thanks a lot and wish you the best in your life. Your every word is so much of an education. yes it takes decades and i cant agree for less. Bless you dear always. You will be my inspiration always always. Plus you are lucky to have such beautiful mother in your life. I can see from where you inherited such a beautiful spirit. Bless her.

I live in NZ...so...close to AUST. I love your channel and products but damn...it is so hard to get your products here (and you'd think we'd be able to get them easily due to proximity). I've found them in ONE supermarket - Countdown (aka AUST Woolworths chain) and even then, not all Countdowns stock your products. On saying that...thanks to you and Mama Noi with your vids, when I couldn't get your kits, I was able to source most of the individual ingredients at my local Asian Grocer to cook your meals from the vids that you both make. A real blessing during COVID lockdown. Thanks Marion & Mama Noi xoxo Much love & appreciation to you both.

It makes me happy to see you so excited about your new content moving forward. I for one, love watching you cook and source and show us around your markets. I like longer content and getting to see exactly how it is all done. I make a lot of your recipes.......my problem is I live really rural, it's beautiful, but the grocery stores are limited in what I can find. I end up ordering a lot from Amazon to be able to make many of your dishes. So, go forth and carry on and inspire us the way you are inspired!

Watching your videos has helped me make better Asian dishes at home than I can get in any restaurant in a 30-mile radius. The detail in your videos--whether it's how to get stir-fried meats to be tender, how to make aromatic pastes with a mortar and pestle, or how to separate fresh rice noodles--makes the difference between good food and great food.

One of the first things that made me start watching Marion's content is her sharing the recipes for her sauces for those that didn't have access to it so they can make it, a lot of content creators don't share recipes they've developed themselves, Marion is truly a genuine person.

Thank you for this video. I took a French cooking class a and my favourite part was when the chef explained where real vanilla or cinnamon comes from and how to tell authentic spices from “extra ingredients” that may not be good for you or the dish. I think you are absolutely on the right track with longer videos with more context. It adds to the joy of cooking. ❤

Hi Marion ! Thanks for this update of your life changes through Covid to now . I discovered you during 2020 , Covid gave me the time and space to slow down and focus on why and what is important to me. Family time and cooking for them gave me back my joy. I view cooking as a duty of care for my family and because of that, I decided I would embrace the work that came along with that duty ….that’s when I discovered the joy was also in the process of learning, understanding flavour combinations , ingredients marrying etc. the techniques made the outcome of my cooking like restaurant quality and my children said even better than some restaurants they go to . They spend good money on food as one of them is a foodie.
Everyone at home enjoys All kinds of Asian food and Mexican food. Your channel is my Go To channel for Thai , so much so we have stopped eating at Thai places…quality and prices since Covid have disappointed. Armed with your recipes, I can do it better at home.
Because I want to understand cooking techniques, flavour combinations, alternative ingredients since we can’t source exactly all ingredients here in Canada…..it is the KEY REASON I LOVE LONG VIDEO contents.
Short videos are like Tik Tok …. Learn nothing much, just distract me for 1-2 mins and are not meaningful to me.
Life is all about learning and improving. Doing anything less just makes it less purposeful.
To become a master Home Chef , one actually needs to know the process and why.
So please always stay TRUE to YOU ….it is what brings us 1.9 M subscribers to YOUR channel!
You enjoy making the long videos because it gives context ….so please continue to make your content the way we enjoy it.
I hope to head to Thailand in 2025 … and I heard I will miss it when I return home.

I cannot wait for long form content! I'm also very partial to short videos for quick inspiration, but that's not how I learnt to cook. I learnt from creators like you who do longer, in-depth videos where they don't just show what they're doing, but explain why. That's how you actually grow an understanding and a love for food! It makes me want to be creative with cooking because I understand the reasoning behind different techniques, why flavour combinations work, and how to make food from the ground up with respect for the ingredients and the cultures you borrow from.
Love your work and your food Marion! And big love to the team for the incredible stuff you're producing for all of us! It doesn't go unnoticed x
