I absolutely love this style of video Dillon. Your ability to tell it as a story, and to include a variety of cuts that show the process, your emotions, and your reflections, is just a testament to how long you've been doing this. The professionalism and artistry is incredible.
MASSIVE respect here. I've yet to invest in a vinyl cutter to use on my customs, mostly because I'm terrified of this type of situation happening. It really is all about problem solving! Love this one, can't wait for more.
I could FEEL your pain in this video!!! When you took the deep breath right before peeling the stencil, I noticed b/c I was doing the same exact thing at the same exact time! I work with Vinyl a lot and I'm interested in trying my hand w/ sneakers so this was a very helpful video! Luckily, I have a vinyl warehouse that allows walk in customers, less than 5 minutes from my house in NJ. Siser Easyweed is one of THE BEST!
I know exactly what your talking about and the experience you went threw . I did the same exact design with my Adidas shoes and it took me forever and thing’s weren’t going how I wanted them but I managed to make it happen and now ppl like my shoes the whole out come of it . That’s when I was 1st starting off to doing custom shoes . Your the reason I know my skills so thank you always .
great video! Mayne that glitter vinyl comes in so clutch! never had major issues with it. thanks for all the trial and errors you share with the world!
Oh Yesss that Dior Print in a Biznitch to work w 😂 & not having that right vinyl match jus makes is even more painstaking lol. Great tips as always Sensei Dejesus
Thank you for sharing the valuable information! I had a question regarding the blueish-grey paint you used on the leather panel. Could you shed some light on the colors you used and their ratios please? Thanks!
The video quality on this is absolutely rediculous dillon. That unboxing alone had me drooling.. and then that shot of painting the edges?! OOoooo WWEEee!
Hi and thank you for posting this. What transfer paper do you use? Can you post a link of it? Also - your link for your preferred tape (I’m assuming it’s the green tape) is now a dead link. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi how come you sand shoes before deglaze i only ask as many other customizers go straight to deglaze im thinking about starting myself so using all i see and can take in for knowledge and im so inspired by your videos and work
Also i take it you have moved fully from using duller in your paint to using finisher after from what iv seen sorry im watching vids from 4yrs ago till now lol info overload
I wanna get back into custom creating shoes. A friend put me on to your channel & I really want to recreate the Gucci custom AF1s that you did. What brand of vinyl cutter would you recommend starting out?
Hey Dillon, Big fan here. You are the truth. Quick question for you, the vinyl that you are using says that it is a permanent vinyl. Does that matter when using it for the shoes?
Howdy man, great question. It really just means that's its super strong, which is what you need on softer materials. You're way more likely to peel paint if you used something like that on leather.
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Hello Dillon. Therefore for a soft material (suede) you need a strong vinyl and for a strong material (leather) a soft vinyl? For having a bad vinyl I lift the paint when I lift the vinyl? Thank you
@@silviorapela5981 Oracal 811 for vinyl. I would necesarily describe that as a soft vinyl though. If paints peeling it could be a few different things 1. Not enough prep 2. Not enough dry time for paint 3. Need to heat the vinyl when you’re removing it
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Thanks for the reply. "1. Not enough prep" Do you mean the correct preparation of the mixture of paint and 2thin? Because the background or base paint is well fixed
Isn't suede the material you painted with the Dior pattern? Is it paintable with normal angelus paints? I thought you had to paint it with angelus suede dye 🤔 Watching the vid I suffered your pain as mine hahaha good job as always!
Hey Jonathan, long time viewer. Where do you find Oracle 811 vinyl? I’ve been using basic removable vinyls such as Cricut brand for my stencils and if I don’t use duller the vinyl always pulls up the paint. Super hyped to try the 811 vinyl for my stencils but I can’t find it on any legitimate websites? Unless Im trippin.
I don't even like Jordan shoes anymore because the quality is ass, and they don't feel as good as they used to when you wear them but those Jordan's 4's are fly..

Great vid bro! I didn't really know you could use 2-soft on suede or nubuck. Can you use it on all kinds of suede and nubuck?
Sure can!
When doing cleats but adding stencils, do I put stencil on before or after ashesion promoter ?

Yes there’s some new products (angelus 4coat and liquid kicks topcoat) that make duller unnecessary
I sand em cause just deglazing isn’t enough to make low quality leather hold paint from my experience
Those are 💯🔥🔥🔥 ur definitely a master of ur trade bro!! I would've gave up lol
