I use vinyl stencils all the time in my airbrushing, so yeah, great method. And your results look perfect. what I don't get, is the whole shoe painting culture. I would be doing this, but I have no idea where to find a market for such a thing.
Sir i've a question can we use fevicryl acrylic on shoes....if yes is there anything i need to mix with the paint to make it last long ..?or using normal acrylic are not worth ?
For heating vinyl? The heat guns I use are just cheap ones you can get from Amazon are harbor freight. Usually only have 1 or 2 settings and you just need to heat the vinyl down long enough to seal it. Nothing crazy!
@DeJesus Custom Footwear to set angelus paints for leather and canvas, actually. Coz im afraid heat gun might burn the materials. So low heat settings right? ✌️😉
@@jaycantcreate you won’t need to heat the paint on leather just let it air dry. For canvas yes low settings in short spurts and just make sure to not hold the heat gun in one spot , keep it moving
Can you please share which vinyls you use? I purchased a silhouette but haven’t been able to find a vinyl that works with it. Atl least non that are reusable only paper or sticker like items.
I use Oracal 811 ! All vinyl is going to have an adhesive that makes it stick well and give you those clean details. If you’re looking for something reusable you wouldn’t want to use vinyl anymore
Depends if you’re in procreate or photoshop.. also really depends on the image itself.. In photoshop you could do one of the main selection tools such as magic wand, quick select, or just using the lasso tool. If you’re in procreate you can just draw a selection with the freehand option under the selection tab.

Would've been cool if the swoosh of the tick went over his hand, would've seemed like he was manipulating the sand making the design feel more purposeful and clever which allows for a more interesting composition imo. Really cool tutorial tho, Super helpful!

Totally! This is about just having a little more flexibility to tweak it so you can make a stencil from it. You might end up with something almost too detailed in some situations utilizing those softwares to be able to cut at a small scale like shoes

Sure thing. First thing youll need to do is get the character on its own layer. You have to delete the background. Then duplicate the layer and tap it to turn on alpha lock. Then you can paint it all black

The switching between Procreate and Adobe is throwing me off. I’m trying to understand because I’m using the iPad. Trying to figure out how to turn down the opacity using this on my iPad. I did exactly how you said.. Painting the image, black and new layer and turning down the pity that’s why I get confused because you’re only showing it for Adobe not the exact for unless I’m getting confused

Great question, Photshop is a way way way more powerful tool overall. However, procreate is much less intimidating to just open up imo!

I would only use and recommend angelus to be honest. I don’t have experience with others so I can’t speak on their durability

Once you have it selected and isolated from the background you can’t paint black on a new layer.

As long as you have the solid black character on its own layer you will be able to drag the opacity slider down just by clicking on the layer
