As an old school airbrush artist, I've cut many a paper stencil by hand, with a #11 Exacto blade. It's nice to see that the skill isn't lost on you, Slew - very impressive, good hands. Here's another fun technique to wrap your brain around - like Disney animation cells, (which are painted in reverse on the backside of acetate) imagine painting on plexiglas. Trace out your pattern, cut the paper coating of the plexi (to your design) and paint in reverse - light colors to dark. The cool thing is - there's no need to mask the shape you just painted. Your one-eyed dude would look cool painted this way.
The cinematography is always so aesthetically pleasing, the stencil is awesome too! I attempted something similar when I was an art TA and tried a ton of new art styles.
For some reason I like the grey reference on the canvas, watching it move and how it changes the order is satisfying. Love the work and the “we must move forward”
I’m working on a project that’s gonna need some stencil work. Any recommendations for what material to use? Instead of spray paint I’m gonna be Jackson Pollocking the canvas with stencils if that makes a difference. I’d prefer something sturdy

Watch out for the regular size recee cups (2 pack) or king size (4) those the only ones you can shuv razor blades into, and I know because i was so scared cuz i love that free candy. And second acknowledge this dude or female the human loves there but has a talent for this blessed up with them warlock hands they would call them back home for being able to paint and draw well .

grate work, i wolud like to give a constructive opinon tho, i think the last two colors broke the cohesiveness of the previous 4, it feals that the logic behind the relation of color was set aside for the last two repetitons. love your work and sorry for my bad english

Mike MD the canvas gets messy during the whole process. Doing it last ensures the background is as clean as possible!

Why did you put tape over the painting before (?) you outlined the heads?
Ozy Illustrates if you watch his other stencil videos he does that so he can paint the background in this case the gray.

Use a bit of spray adhesive on the back of your stencils, and wait till its tacky. No underspray. Perfect lines :)
