I've gotten into graffiti and stencil art from watching your videos. Would you mind doing a tutorial on how you choose the cuts for your stencils and which colors you use when picking a design to spray paint? Long time fan, love your channel ❤️
That's really beautiful, man. I love the detail and the colors. In particular, I love the juxtaposition of the icon (Mary) vs the iconographic use item (the sign). There is a nice contrast between the classic imagery and the modern simplified symbol behind it. (Considering how road signs are made, I also assume there is some more depth to this piece than your camera can capture.. Road signs have that certain reflective coating, usually.) Anyways: really dope. And a fine example of what stencil art can be (I'm curious about how it would turn out if you didn't do the fades and color transitions - the amount of stencils should aready give a pretty layered feel, I reckon) Beautiful work. Cheers from Amsterdam
Thank you for your feed back... the signs sometimes hold their reflective surface, giving an interesting effect. But most of the canvases I use are rather aged.... I have played with a ton of layers and very few. I found that a small amount of layers 6 to 10 with color blends in each layer create more depth and a more natural image than other stencil artists.
@@ThomasVigil Oh, I agree - the color blends give a lot more depth, absolutely :) It was more like.. it goes so far beyond 'normal' stencil art, that it's difficult to see the detail each stencil already brings. (..because I think you also did exceptional work in seperating the layers for those stencils. Very smart, and gives a very, very detailed result) Anyways - I just have to start trying this stuff again (it's been awhile for me), and see what works :) In short; I love your work. I subscribed to your channel, because it's well-deserved (I think you'll be on your way to 100K subscribers in no time at all (: Viewed some earlier videos, and the newer ones are a massive improvement already) Anyways, keep doing what you do. Cool stuff
I was raised I'm an area where religious influence is very saturated. Many artists from my home town are what we call santeros, a form of artistry that focuses on religious icons. It's a big part of our Spanish colonial heritage. But I also grew up a rebellious graffiti artist. This is a combination of my two major influences.
@@ThomasVigil that's awesome man, I really like it. I've thought about doing something like this as well, but from a eastern Orthodox lenz. It does seem like Christian and rebellion go more hand and hand lately. What is it that you are writing in the layering? You ever look into deathtotheworld? They have a pretty sick punk/christian/ rebel feel. Keep up the great work! God bless
Stunning art work like this can only come from the soul.
That's just mad skills right there! Cutting out the stencils alone is time consuming. God gave you a gift!
Thank you!!!!
Wow! A very emotionally filled subject matter. Amazing work

@@ThomasVigil you're the best man. Blessings.
exelent God and Virgen Maria Ora Pro Nobis.
I'm not complaining, just curious. Why the christian art? I've never seen Christian graft
