Thanks for the tip. While you are at it, check out the Swiss knot. Far easier to untie than a double knot with all of the same security. I've never had a shoe come untied since I started using it.
@@UltraTrailSteven Esentially, on the loop part of the knot, you run it through a second time. You can still untie it by pulling an end like a single knot, but it doesn't come untied.

Thanks for the info! I will look that up because I have never heard of the Swiss Knot. Thanks for watching!

@@chrissmithspresence very cool!
So THATS what that extra eyelet is for!!
Great explanation in the why, when, and how 😁 thank you!
Haha yep! It has a purpose! Thanks for watching and always supporting, Celine!
Love the runners knot! Also virtually eliminates shoes coming untied for those of us that live dangerously and don’t double-knot
So true! I live dangerously too! However, the Torrent does still come untied with the runners knot.
I've been doing that lacing for YEARS. Didn't know that is the name!
Well now you know! Lol also known as runners loop and heel lock
Just starting using this knot ... helps, great hold. Nice vid Steven
Thanks, James! I definitely like the knot on my trail shoes.
Thanks Steven! Haven't used the runners knot, and will give it a try on some of the steep technical trails.
Let me know what you experience with it! Thanks for watching!
Love the runners knot! I've never had the toe issue, but I HAVE had nasty heel slippage on steep uphills.
Yeah it works great for that too! Thanks for watching!
Nice wee tutorial Steven 👍🏃
Thanks, Martin!
I was waiting for this. Seriously. Thanks!
Awesomesauce! I hope it helps, Jon!
I didn't think I need to use a runners knot until watching this video and looking at my toes, lol.
Hahaha might be worth a shot!
Great video! 💯
Thanks! 😃
