This means, if data appears to the contrary, his audience is already primed to throw his conclusion away, or critically examine it after contradicting data. In every single case, where he gets critique with claims that either make sense, or show contradictory data, he's changed his view, or disproven the critique.

      @@metalmythology6282 I think it would be more accurate to say that it angers Hasan that Destiny has more respect from actual adults, debaters, philosophers, politicians, political commentators, etc.
      Because at the end of the day, that is what Hasan really strives to be, a respected political commentator and debater, which he is not.
      The people Hasan looks up to, seem to like Destiny more.
      Or at the very least, Hasan grifts to appear like he wants to be perceived as that hyper-intelligent political debater, but he might not really give a shit at all.
      Hasan genuinely only appeals to younger women (because he admittedly is very handsome) and teenagers/kids.
      Which is why he hangs with the likes of Pokimane, Valkyrae, etc, as they are in that "appealing to kids/teenagers" sphere.

It just means if you have a black person (or insert under-represented group here) and a white person who are similarly qualified you might give preference to the black person in the name of diversity. That black person still earned their way there through hard work and is most certainly deserving, but affirmative action helped them get in the door whereas that probably wouldn't have been the case before.

    I was a 10 month sub and daily watcher of Hasan's, not a huge fan but liked having it on in the background/second monitor as I putter around the house and/or game. I observed the patterns of getting Hasan to single out a chatters message and eventually took advantage of it and was able to get his attention almost whenever I wanted. I sent links into chat pertaining to topics he was talking about, when he lacked context. I'm on Twitter a lot so I had links and articles ready all the time. He opened them often and I guess I developed a micro-familiarity with Hasan, like a B-list chatter. Eventually I would poke him by calling him out in chat, and that works to get his attention too, and if you're delicate he knows when you're good faith. Until one day while he was watching the UFO congressional hearings, I ribbed him about SCIF's and his lack of knowledge on them--and he pulled the "my brother Murat is a..." to establish that he knew about SCIF's, this lead to a "NO SHOT" from me, which he singled out and perma banned me on the basis that if I was a true 10 month sub, I should have seen prior content of his where he covered SCIFs.
    Hasan assumes everyone who watches him watches him daily and consumes all of his content. I was a daily watcher but was never Has-pilled. I would disagree with his takes often, but as far as streamers, his ADHD coverage of stuff is good for background entertainment. Hasan is a weak egotistical man child who has created one of the most un-based echo chambers on the internet. He is also a net-negative for lefty politics and the socialist movement. His donations to strike funds, union funds and the like is virtue signaling akin to how Catholics think donations to the church will gain you salvation and erase your sins. He is a multi-millionaire master grifter the likes of which the Left has never seen. It's so fun to watch his slow decline in viewership and relevance, and his weekly twitter cancelations are always entertaining. Do not be mistaken, Hasan's community is the most harmful echo chamber on the lefty internet.
    Destiny is in good faith with almost everything he does, he is sincere and unafraid, and does have a strong sense of right and wrong and is able to see between the lines. He does not fall on pre-conceived notions, he extrapolates data and well informs his viewers. He deserves the success Hasan has, but will have to go about earning it in a much more grueling way because of how Hasan has poisoned the well and has held back the "poggers" community. Even when covering Hasan, Destiny is good faith and honest, and calls him on his bullshit. Hasan can't cover Destiny without being smarmy and bad faith. /endrant

He no longer wants to debate people at all because he's "above that," not because he's afraid of looking bad in them. He leans way more into extreme leftist stances to differentiate himself from Destiny as a liberal. • @FootLooseAngel
    @FootLooseAngel 10 месяцев назад +16

    Hassant's viewpoint is:
    If it benefits me, it's good. If it doesn't, it's bad.
    Most leftists have this simple framework. Additionally, you can see how hassan projects that framework on other people, basing intelligent/moral decisions on whether or not the person benefits from it.
    Example being: "why are you against affirmative action if you directly benefitted from it?"
    Hassan (and people with this affliction) can't explore ideas to any degree of depth because they are incapable of removing themselves & their values from the equation (or applying other hypothetical values)

      Unfortunately, this mindset is very palatable to the general public. It usually capitalizes on people's inclinations to use anecdotal evidence to form and support a biased prescriptive political stance, because intellectual honesty means having basic media literacy, and most people don't have time to do their own research or critically challenge the premises of their own argument.
      And the worst part is that it's so unbearably tedious to debunk anecdotal evidence, because you have to essentially teach someone about the abstract concept of bias, and most people aren't patient enough to let you explain yourself completely when you're attacking their worldview.

      'if it benefits me it's good, if it doesn't its bad' I wouldn't agree 100% bc if communist Hasan got what he asked for, his million dollar home would belong to everyone. And he would pay taxes so high, he couldn't effort his lavish life style anyway. Obviously he is hypocritical when it comes to this stuff but also his take on streaming stolen content is just to protect himself cuz he is so on the noise with that one. Whenever he would defend XQC he was actually defending himself. There is the 'it benefits me' part. But yeah he would throw any black person under the bus just to get the best end out for himself. That's why when the group he is supposedly trying to protect comes for his ass he just goes 'you don't know what's best for you'. X.x

      Right, typically, the defense of something or even the accusation of others is also subject to this rule.
      Defending a behavior because you are guilty of it, additionally projecting a behavior because you're guilty of it.
      People with this issue are incapable of empathy; unable to use any hypothetical viewpoint other than their own. They can't even empathize with their future/past self, since they're unable to escape their mentality based on the here&now
      I wish there was a term for it. It's very much like aphantasia. But instead of inability to create mental pictures, they're unable to recontectulize / reframe concepts outside of themselves.

    • @FootLooseAngel
      @FootLooseAngel 10 месяцев назад

      It's a default mentality that you grow out of.
      Kids are forced to operate in this way until 11-13 yo, then they have all of their teens and early 20's to solidify their belief system & see if it's compatible with the world/society.
      Social media allows people to avoid the necessary confrontations that challenge their beliefs, so they enter into adulthood with underdeveloped, childish framing.
      There may be an IQ element to it as well, but for now, it's important to identify the mindset as a core pattern of leftist belief systems.
      The only consistency in how they operate is how it benefits them in the moment, & this mindset explains that perfectly imo.
      I've met right wingers that have the same issue, so it's not just on the left (but I see it far more on the left than the right)

    I think the biggest problem with welfare, or people trying to come out of it (having baby daddy live in the house, combining incomes into a functional family unit) is you run into the same problem with getting people off unemployment. If unemployment or welfare gives me x amount of money a month, but by getting a job (40/hr work week) I earn x + 1, most people will view the work they are doing as only worth the 1 in that equation. Using the COVID unemployment bonus ($600/wk, basically a 15/hr 40hr work week) if I go out and find a job for $17/hr, I can rationalize my work as actually being only $2/hr for my time of 40 hours a week. Once this structure is put in place, it's hard to escape it mentally, even if you are incrementally improving your financial situation.

      I remember being labeled as an “essential worker” (I cut grass for a living) and was making less than the $600/wk even before I paid taxes on my check. (Cut off from all overtime as well).

    I love that Destiny still talks to Vegan Gains. He's really annoying, but Destiny tolerates it and I think that's nice. There's still value to be gained in talking to annoying people

    I think you missed it in the intro of this video you shot with zooblea, they also hint to a Lasan vs Ben Shapiro debate as an idea for the future. What's your thoughts on that?
