Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. That's a great question. An answer I should have covered in the video. When it comes to the mesh, you can try to spot clean with a microfiber cloth. Make sure to put an absorbent towel underneath (inside the shoe) in order to catch the liquid so it doesn't bleed into the suede. Simply add some cleaner to the cloth and gently rub the soiled mesh area. Repeat as necessary and then finally with some fresh water to remove the cleaner. This is what I'd suggest! Hope that helps! Let me know how it turns out.

Definitely try it! If it doesn't completely take out the dye, it should at least decrease it! All the best. Thanks for watching and let me know how it turns out!
Hahaha. Oops! Don't fear, if you've done this, you can still recover somewhat! You'll want to get some suede conditioner (mink oil spray or other), and a suede brush. Use both appropriately according to the instructions and this will bring the supple and soft feel back to your suede for the most part. Let me know how it turns out! @@mprm247 Great question. I'd suggest putting an absorbent cloth inside the shoes to absorb any excess moisture and very gently use a small brush (like a toothbrush) to scrub the mesh. You can do it slowly and carefully. At the end of the day, don't fret too much about getting your suede wet, it's not the end of the world. Just note that you can potentially cause water spots on your leather. To fix water spots, you'll have to dampen the entire suede with water, just don't soak it. After it's dry, you can brush the suede back to the original texture. I hope this helps. All advice is at your own risk since I don't know your exact situation. All the best!
Hey friend! My best suggestion is to invest in the Leather Honey Nubuck & Suede Care kit. It includes a premium suede eraser along with everything else you'll need. You can find it here: amzn.to/3T934vk [Amazon] If you're looking for just the eraser, this one is decent: amzn.to/40fvKqQ [Amazon] I wish the best for your project! Please note that these are affiliate links, so I make a small percentage from the sale.
That's a great question. It depends on the eraser. However, just note that typical erasers are made for graphite pencils, not suede fibers. To be honest, I've ruined suede before by using pink erasers on light suede and it has ruined it by coloring it pink. Suede erasers are better because they have grittiness like sand that really gets dirt out, in comparison to regular erasers that are almost ineffective. It depends on the eraser, but I'd go for Leather Honey's suede & nubuck cleaning kit! Check it out here: kit.co/evumies
That's a great question! One thing you have to be careful about with suede erasers is that they are gritty. So if there is any soft or delicate parts of fabric, it may be rough on it and potentially ruin it. If you have a softer erasers, it may work well. It just depends what type of substance you're trying to clean from the tongue area. Theoretically, it can work as well. :)
My suede shoes was drenched by the rain and it became hard and somewhat deformed 😢. I wanted to clean the stains as well but Im unsure to get the eraser or the brush.
So sorry to hear that! That's a common issue with suede. If it's rain damage, I'd definitely suggest getting the Leather Honey Suede kit. kit.co/evumies Because the suede got wet, you'll want to re-wet and clean to entire suede. Don't leave any portion uncleaned otherwise it will be splotchy. One properly cleaning with the leather honey cleaner, you'll want to pat it dry with a lint free cloth. Let fully dry. From there, use the brush to re-nap the suede. If there's any hard portions, use the eraser to loosen up the suede, then brush. This should solve your issues if not make it better. Let me know how it turns out!
Great question, habibi. Yes, you can clean it with the rubber suede eraser, just know that some blue dye may come off with it, but it's normal. Colored suede is a little harder to clean, but I hope the results are good for you.
Hey friend! Great question. Cleaning any shoes is at your own risk, but if you shoes got rain soaked, you may need to use a specifically liquid suede cleaner to remove any water marks. When water dries on suede, it pools the dirt and grime into one area, which makes the suede splotchy, but if you use liquid suede cleaner to refresh the area, it should work well. You may need to clean more than once in order to obtain the best results. All the best! Let me know how it turns out. Here's my suggestions: kit.co/evumies
Hey friend! Suede doc martens, nice. It's hard to understand what you're asking, but if you're asking to use baking soda to clean suede, I'd say it may not be the best choice, though it is safer than other products. Because I don't know your exact situation, it's hard to advise. However, I'd suggest using suede-specific cleaners first before trying other things. There is suede erasers of course, but also suede liquid cleaners that are safe for suede. Let me know how it turns out! If you need any supplies, I'd suggest these: kit.co/evumies
Is there a difference between suede erasers and normal erasers? A couple weeks ago I used a regular eraser on white suede but it left a dark mark and now I'm not sure if I can fix it. Could a suede eraser fix it? Thanks!
What a great question! Yes, there is a difference. Many normal erasers are colored and will rub off their color onto the suede. In essence, they do a similar function, but with suede erasers, they add grittiness that acts like micro sandpaper that allows the eraser to better remove marks and dirt from suede. However, you can get similar results depending on the issue. Just know that a normal eraser may actually rub in the dirt or mark more, whereas the specially formed suede eraser's goal is to remove it more thoroughly.
I got my new suede shoes dirty and used water unknowingly so now im here 😂 i was able to brush it and the water spot is mostly gone, im just wondering if the eraser will help restore the white color for the suede so it wont look darker than other parts.
I recently cleaned my suede shoes with a Jason mark cleaner and brush and now the suede is stiff..if I use the eraser will the softness come back or am I doomed ?
Hey friend! You're not doomed! It looks like Jason Mark Cleaner's description notes that it is safe on suede, so what seems to have happened is that you may have used too much product or that you did not properly dry it. Either way, here's what I would do if it were me. Option 1: Did you use too much cleaner? In order to soften your suede again, make sure to remove all the cleaner from your suede, which may involve wiping down your suede with a damp cloth until all the suede seems like there's no cleaner left in it. Next, let fully dry. Once the suede is dry, brush it vigorously, but gently. Pushing too hard on your suede can ruin it. You may see some suede fibers breaking off, this is normal. Just wipe them away. Brush until suede's texture is soft again. From here, your suede should feel much better. If not, option 2: use a suede-specific eraser, which will have grittiness to liven back your suede and also remove anything that would keep it stiff. Use eraser thoroughly on all of the suede, don't push too hard. From there, wipe the eraser shavings off as you go until your suede feels soft again. Brush until soft. If it's still not soft and still stiff, you may consider using a mink oil suede spray which will soften the fibers of your suede. Use directions accordingly on the spray and then brush until suede is renewed. All of this is my suggestion at your own risk and I will not be held liable for any issues. All the best. Let me know how it turns out! I'd highly suggest using Leather Honey's new Suede kit: kit.co/evumies
Great video instructions ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 However it’s better to soak the shoelaces in a little Clorox then put in the washer for a better cleaning
That's a great question. While I personally own a 4-way suede brush, I find myself not actually using it as much as what I used in the video. But everyone can be different. I'd say the 4 way suede brush isn't for cleaning, just for renewing and caring for suede to brush off any debris for regular maintenance while the suede eraser and other things are for deeper cleanings. Does that make sense? I hope it helps!
@@renn434 Highly recommend the Leather Honey nubuck and suede kit, it has everything you need. Also, I got a discount code for you guys if you buy from their website for 20% off + free ship, CODE: EVUMIES
Hey Braeden. Glad you found this video. It really depends. What's the sauce made from? Like a tomato sauce? Red? Do this at your own risk. I'd first let the sauce dry, the take a knife or razor blade edge and scrape off as much of the excess sauce or debris off of the suede. From there, I'd first try using a suede eraser to see if you can remove more dried sauce from the suede. If that still doesn't work, I'd purchase a proper suede cleaner and follow the instructions. You may have to clean the entire panel of leather otherwise you may have moisture spots. If you need to clean the area more than once, go for it. After this dries, your suede will probably be stiff, so brush it off good with a suede brush. If it's still stiff, you may need to rinse it again to get any excess cleaner off. Let dry and then brush it again. If it's still not the same texture, you may want to spray it with some mink oil spray and then brush it again. All the best. Check out my suggestions from here: kit.co/evumies
Hey David, that's a great question. In order for me to better advise, you'll need to tell me what color they are now. If they are lighter than you want them to be, you may try to use some suede & nubuck mink oil spray. If they are darker than you want, you may try some suede cleaner, dry, and then use a suede eraser. You may need to repeat that process multiple times. My advice is at your own risk, but I wish the best for you. Let me know how it turns out. For products, feel free to check out my suggestions kit.co/evumies
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. Yes, I treat my suede with a mink oil spray. It's great for protecting and waterproofing! There is also another way to use like a mink oil or mink oil balm, though, you must apply it properly--that is in small quantities and brush it in very well. Check out my video explaining here: ruclips.net/video/q7JSXvaO8nw/видео.html
I read for stains that wont budge using white vinegar is ok? Is this true? And also for oil stains to use baking powder is this also true? Loved your video thank for helping!
It's not that white vinegar can't get out stains sometimes, but it's not my suggestion for cleaning suede because of the pH balance. Suede leather typically has a pH level around 4.5 to 5.5, which is slightly acidic. This pH range helps maintain the leather's softness, flexibility, and overall integrity. White vinegar, on the other hand, has a much more acidic pH level of around 2.5. I'd suggest something like Leather Honey's new suede cleaning kit. It's very good. For oil stains, baking SODA, not baking powder can work really well. Simply create a paste using a little water and baking soda and apply it to the surface of the mark on your suede. Leave it for 24-48 hours on the suede and the brush off. Repeat as necessary. However, this may leave a water mark on your suede, so feel free to try just baking soda alone first in order to try to absorb the oil. All of this advice is at your own risk, because I don't know the exact situation, I can't be responsible for it, but this is what I'd do if it were me. Hope it helps!
That's a great question. You can try to cover the suede with a towel and gently use a tooth brush, cotton swab, or other small rag to gently wipe or brush the mesh, making sure not to get the suede wet. If it does end up getting wet, it's not the end of the world, you just want to try to avoid it. Repeat the cleaning process as necessary. I'll try to keep this in mind for a next video. Let me know if that works!

You're more than welcome to try reshoevn8r, but feel free to use a coupon I got from them. CODE: EVUMIES at shoemgk.com for 20% off + free shipping. can I tumble dry my Nike Cortez after they've been wet from the rain (they have suede on just the tip and the heel part of the shoe, rest all is nylon I guess) ?
Hey friend. My opinion, never use a dryer. Tumble drying your shoes can ruin the suede because the heat can warp and shrink the fabric and suede. If anything, tumble dry with NO or LOW heat only. But highly suggest just air dry in not direct sunlight. All the best.
Hey friend! Great question. So, mildew occurs when the suede leather is left wet for a period of time where bacteria can grow. This bacteria grows in and through the pores of the leather. What that means is that the leather is soaked through and through, which means that simply rubbing off the surface of the leather with an eraser is not going to clean the entirety of the suede, just the top surface. For this unique issue, I'd recommend using a suede cleaner + water to soak your leather footwear and scrub it down thoroughly. Once it's clean, rinse it thoroughly with water so that no dirt or soap is left over. Now for the most important part. Pat the shoes dry as much as possible and then fill it with something like towels or newspaper to absorb the water. This way, the shoes can dry properly to prevent bacteria build up. Do not dry in direct sunlight, keep at room temperature or in front of a fan but do not let the leather stay wet. Because I don't know the exact issue, this is my best suggestion. But all of this is at your own risk. I hope this helps, friend! Let me know how it turns out.
Hey friend. It all depends on what that "stain" is from. Do you know? If you know, you can determine what's needed to treat it. Sometimes it's permanent, but it really just depends on what it is. Let me know!
@@Chinoiserie9839 Ok. Well, there's a few things you may want to do. Unfortunately, your suede is pretty much ruined, so using water to rinse it off may be of some use. Grease on suede can be tricky, but here are a couple of options you can try-just keep in mind these are at your own risk: Baking Soda: Sprinkle baking soda directly on the grease spot and let it sit for a few days. It should help absorb the oil. Afterward, brush it off with a suede brush or soft cloth. Baking Soda + Dish Soap Scrub: Mix a small amount of baking soda with dish soap, gently scrub it onto the spot, and let it sit for an hour. Then, rinse off thoroughly with water and allow the shoes to air dry. Make sure to brush your suede once it's dry. You may need to rehydrate the suede with some mink oil spray to soften the suede fibers after. Let me know if it works!
That's a great question. The answer is no. While normal erasers can have some effect, suede erasers are specially formulated to be grittier to enable the eraser to more easily and effectively remove the dirt from your suede. Erasers are made for graphite pencils, suede erasers are made from suede. Check out my suggestions here: kit.co/evumies
Hey friend! Thanks for watching. Black spots? or darkened spots? Did you clean your suede before you sprayed it? If you oversaturated your suede, it may have left "water marks" or areas where the liquid dried up and accumulated the dirt. Have you tried brushing the spray through your suede yet? If that doesn't work, you can try something to fix it at your own risk. In order to remove water marks, (if this is actually what the issue is), you'll want to try to spray the area again and brush it through. If that doesn't work, try to saturate the entire suede shoes in water. Do not soak. This may ruin your suede, but it is the best solution to get rid of water marks. Then pat dry and air dry. THen brush thoroughly to reset nap. You may need to use the spray once more at the end if it's a mink oil hydrator for suede. Let me know if this works. All the best.
@@evumies Hello! actually darkened spots, actually i tried the Eraser and now it’s much better, and for the spray i think it’s not a good i dear for light suede at all even with brushing, it’s way more helpful with brown and black suedes, Thank you for the Details, 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Ooo. That's tricky. First of all, it wasn't the best idea to soak them in water, but yeah, we already know that at this point. You still may be able to save your suede shoes. We need some more information to take the best route. #1, why did you soak them in water? Due to mark or stain? Did you get that out? #2, if you used any type of cleaner or soap, you need to make sure that you thoroughly rinse the leather as much as possible before drying. #3, once you take the shoes out of the water, you should use a towel to pat dry as much excess water from the suede, making sure that the leather doesn't remain wet. If it does, it may begin to decompose or mold. Do your best to get as MUCH water out as you can WITHOUT using any heat or hair dryer. #4, don't put them in direct sunlight to dry. I'd suggest using a fan (no heat whatsoever) or putting them outside in indirect light to air dry (again, after removing as much excess moisture as possible). #5, make sure to put either paper (no newspaper because ink can transfer onto the leather), or some rags or small towels that will absorb the water out of the shoes as it air dries. From there, you'll want to remove those rags or paper insert periodically so that you can continue to drain out the moisture. After it's fully dry, (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART), you need to rehydrate your leather. If it's suede, you should use a suede conditioner or conditioning spray like mink oil. You will then need to brush the suede nap back to it's texture with a suede brush. This is what I'd suggest. No guarantees, but it should help. I hope for the best! Let me know if it helps!
@@evumies it worked❗🙈 I had the adidas campus 00s in tan and they look brand new , I did put them in direct sunlight tho after I had soaked them in water 😔 (which I won't do again) they were grey or brown at first but then I bought the eraser thing for suede and it worked next time I prob wont start by putting them in water, since I didn't have a suede brush thingy I used a hair brush🧍to bring the suede texture back
Hm. Not sure. Do you have Amazon? If not, you can go to a cobbler or leather craft store and they should have the erasers there. If you can't find them, you can use neutral colored generic erasers, but they just won't be as effective. All the best.
Hello, I cleaned my shoes with the angelus brand eraser but there were some scratches left from the eraser and they faded a little, the color is navy blue, do you know if it is possible to remedy it? thank you
Hey friend! This may have occurred because you pressed too hard. But don't worry! If there's some fading, all you need to do is condition your suede. Adding suede conditioner (oil) to the leather will bring back the natural pigment. Be careful. You can't use regular leather conditioner, you'll need to buy a mink oil spray and use suede only conditioners. You should be conditioning your suede anyways whether you have fading or not. This will make your leather last for years to come. Check out my kit.co/evumies for my suggestions on suede sprays. I'd suggest Angelus Mink Oil Spray. Also, you'll want to properly brush you suede to bring back the nap. Either get a harder bristle brush or a suede brush. Again, check out my kit.co/evumies for tools. Let me know if you need any help!
No worries. It would be best if you avoided water altogether, but even if you did, there's ways to partially restore it! Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for watching!
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the *LVGUCI* book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. Unfortunately, suede erasers are specifically formulated for suede where regular erasers are formulated for pencil lead. Many other erasers are colored and will rub off their color onto your suede, so you have to be careful. I wouldn't suggest it, but you can try a clear or neutral regular eraser if you want at your own risk! Hope this helps.
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. You mean the "mesh" part? I'd suggest taking a damp towel with shoe cleaner and trying to gently rub that area without getting the suede wet. Mesh is usually very durable and made from something like nylon, so it should be safe.
Thanks so much for watching. Regular erasers are made for things like graphite pencils, not suede fibers. Colored erasers like the famous pink eraser will often rub off its color onto your suede and potentially ruin the color. It's not that they don't "work" eventually, but they're not effective because they're not abrasive enough. To me, it's not worth it. Suede erasers often have more grit and are able to remove deep marks and dirt. I hope that helps!
A kid just ran to me and dropped his food into my shoes and now my white outsole is dirty and has red stains on it i cant remove it any tips (the kid ran away and wont even bother saying sorry)
Wow, dude. That sucks! Sorry to hear that. First of all, how long did you wait until you tried to clean it? Is it all dry now? If someone splattered food on your suede, you can't really just use a suede eraser, that's going to take deep cleaning with liquid suede cleaner, and even then, your shoes might be unsalvageable. Though, it doesn't hurt if you want to try. If there's any caked on food that has become dry, definitely dry brush that off as much as you can. From there, get some suede cleaner, I'd suggestion Leather Honey Suede & Nubuck Kit. Steps: Blot the Stain: Gently blot (do not rub) the red food stain with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb as much of the excess food as possible. Do not press too hard, as this can push the stain deeper into the suede. Check for Dryness: If the stain has dried, use a soft brush (suede or toothbrush) to gently lift any hardened food particles from the surface. Brush in one direction to avoid damaging the texture. Test the Cleaner: Before applying the Leather Honey Suede Cleaner to the stain, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of your shoe to ensure it doesn’t discolor or damage the suede. Apply Leather Honey Suede Cleaner: Dampen a clean cloth with a small amount of Leather Honey Suede Cleaner. Gently rub it onto the stained area, working in circular motions. Be careful not to saturate the suede too much. Blot Excess Moisture: After applying the cleaner, blot the area gently with a dry cloth to absorb any excess liquid. This helps prevent the suede from becoming too wet and losing its texture. Brush the Area: Use a soft brush to gently lift and restore the nap of the suede. Brush in the direction of the suede fibers, not against them. If the color returns to normal, you can now dry it. If not, try repeating the process. Allow to Dry: Let the shoes dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight. Suede should never be dried with heat sources like a hairdryer, as this can cause the material to shrink or crack. This part is important. Try to blot out as much moisture as possible. Then, insert a towel or rag in order to absorb any excess liquid. Otherwise, your shoes may dry patchy. Reassess: After the shoes are dry, check the stain. If necessary, you can repeat the process. If the stain persists, you might want to consult a professional suede cleaner or consider using a specialized suede stain remover. Additional Tip: If the stain is particularly stubborn, a mild detergent diluted in water may help, but use it sparingly and always test on a small area first. I hope this helps, bro!
It's a great investment! Though, sometimes you can get similar results with certain brushes at home. Just check the bristles. You'll want medium bristle density.
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. Sorry to hear about your suede! You might still be able to restore it with these quick steps for rejuvenation (not cleaning): Let it dry fully: If it’s still wet, give it time to dry completely. Use a suede brush: Gently brush the suede in one direction to lift the nap and smooth things out. Apply mink oil spray: Lightly spray mink oil to condition and revive the suede, but remember this is just for rejuvenation, not cleaning. I'd suggest angelus mink oil spray here: kit.co/evumies Brush again: Once dry, brush the suede to bring back its texture. These steps should help freshen up the look of your suede! Let me know if it helps.
Hey hey! So sorry to hear that! But let's try to fix it even though it may be ruined. There may be hope! Haha. If you haven't already, you'll want to thoroughly rinse ALL of the detergent out of the suede, any detergent that stays in the suede is going to make it hard and crack. Once the detergent is out, you'll want to let it dry fully (not in direct sunlight). From here, I'd suggest purchasing suede conditioner (like mink oil spray, which will soften your suede again) as well as a suede brush (which will bring the suede nap back into the right texture). Get your dry suede, spray some suede conditioner (do not use leather conditioner, it must be suede specific), and then brush in the conditioner with your suede brush. Repeat as necessary through the entire suede and follow the instructions on the product of your choice. Feel free to check out my suggestions here: kit.co/evumies I hope this helps! Keep me in the loop!
You can absolutely get suede wet unless you’re an idiot who buys expensive shows with thin suede. My boots are raw hide and designed for temperate weather. Water only affects the cheap stuff like that because typically you let your suede air dry before invigorating.
You make a great point about quality suede being more water-resistant, but it’s still a good idea to avoid getting suede wet when possible. Most people either can’t afford or don’t know how to differentiate between the quality of suede, and proper care can be tricky. Also, I wouldn’t say someone has to be an idiot to purchase thin suede-it might just be a preference for breathability or aesthetics. At the end of the day, it’s all about knowing what you’re buying and how to take care of it. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
Hey bro. I appreciate the comment. Though, unfortunately they're not the same. Many other "regular" erasers can actually ruin your suede. If you have a colored eraser, it can also completely discolor your leather by rubbing off onto it. Please be careful. Again, suede erasers are literally made from different materials and provide more sand-paper like qualities specifically for suede. Please take my advice, since I've ruined very nice suede in the past. All the best, bro.
Totally get where you’re coming from! It can be frustrating to spend a lot on shoes and then feel like you need more tools just to take care of them. But I’ve found that a little maintenance goes a long way in keeping them looking great and lasting longer, which helps make the investment worth it. But yeah, I feel you on the added cost. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Oh no! Definitely don't use bleach! That'll ruin your suede for sure, haha. Well, maybe it's too late, but definitely not recommended! I'd suggest leather-only specific products as they are formulated and tested for best results.
That's a great question! Yes, it works similar, you may just have to be a little gentler. Nubuck is not as fibrous as suede, but rather more of a low pile sanded leather. The concept is still the same for cleaning. I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes or if you run into any snags! :)

Hi, sorry I don't see the link for the suede eraser. Please share!
Hey friend! My best suggestion is to invest in the Leather Honey Nubuck & Suede Care kit. It includes a premium suede eraser along with everything else you'll need. You can find it here: amzn.to/3T934vk [Amazon]
If you're looking for just the eraser, this one is decent: amzn.to/40fvKqQ [Amazon]

Can I use the usual eraser that erase pencil mark?
That's a great question. It depends on the eraser. However, just note that typical erasers are made for graphite pencils, not suede fibers. To be honest, I've ruined suede before by using pink erasers on light suede and it has ruined it by coloring it pink. Suede erasers are better because they have grittiness like sand that really gets dirt out, in comparison to regular erasers that are almost ineffective. It depends on the eraser, but I'd go for Leather Honey's suede & nubuck cleaning kit! Check it out here: kit.co/evumies
Tysm for this vid! I love my 574 suede pair so much I was afraid of cleaning them (been neglecting
You're welcome! I hope it turns out well! Let me know. :) All the best.

Yeah, it totally depends on what the issue is or what is on the suede itself. Definitely try Leather Honey's suede & nubuck kit! kit.co/evumies
would u use the eraser to clean the white soft part also? the Toung?
I sure hope this works, got some lovely Jordan 13s w stains on the suede gon try these techniques

I have a shoes but its not whiet it is blue can I use the Rubber to clean it??
Great question, habibi. Yes, you can clean it with the rubber suede eraser, just know that some blue dye may come off with it, but it's normal. Colored suede is a little harder to clean, but I hope the results are good for you.
And I'll try to use a blue rubber mabye it will work.
Thank you habibi😂❤@@evumies
Can this work on nike voodoos😢 it got rain soaked
My suede cream docmartins doscolloured, can i use bicarb as etasure aint working? Thanks
@@evumies Thank you so much! I'll be buying one asap!
I got my new suede shoes dirty and used water unknowingly so now im here 😂 i was able to brush it and the water spot is mostly gone, im just wondering if the eraser will help restore the white color for the suede so it wont look darker than other parts.
Oh no! So glad you found the video. To answer your question, yes, the suede can help make a more cohesive color. I'd definitely give it a try!
Hey!! Thanks so much for your kind words and watching! I love that advice, and I'll give it a try. Thanks so much.
would it be better to get one of those little 4-way brush things or to use the type of brush your using for my suede shoes
I hope it helps!
yea it does thanks, im most likely just going to get a normal brush with an eraser to clean it

My shoes got splashed with some droplets of sauce from someone dropping one what’s a good way to remove the sticky dots? I teach maybe white vinegar?
I’m trying to clean my Bad Bunny Gazelles suede and I just can’t seem to bring them back to the color they used to be (light grey). Any suggestions?
Hey David, that's a great question. In order for me to better advise, you'll need to tell me what color they are now. If they are lighter than you want them to be, you may try to use some suede & nubuck mink oil spray. If they are darker than you want, you may try some suede cleaner, dry, and then use a suede eraser. You may need to repeat that process multiple times. My advice is at your own risk, but I wish the best for you. Let me know how it turns out. For products, feel free to check out my suggestions kit.co/evumies

Greay video. Do you ever treat suede with mink oil? I end up getting my shoes wet all the time and wonder if i should do this from time to time.
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. Yes, I treat my suede with a mink oil spray. It's great for protecting and waterproofing! There is also another way to use like a mink oil or mink oil balm, though, you must apply it properly--that is in small quantities and brush it in very well.
@@evumies ty!! I will try it🫶🏻
My shoes are suede and mesh do you have a recommendation on how to clean mesh without ruining suede
If using a suede eraser and brush doesn't clean it enough. Could reshoevn8rs cleaner be safe to use on the suede panels?

can I tumble dry my Nike Cortez after they've been wet from the rain (they have suede on just the tip and the heel part of the shoe, rest all is nylon I guess) ?
Hey friend. My opinion, never use a dryer. Tumble drying your shoes can ruin the suede because the heat can warp and shrink the fabric and suede. If anything, tumble dry with NO or LOW heat only. But highly suggest just air dry in not direct sunlight. All the best.
Does this work for mildew? My new balance have severe water damage

@@evumies i think it's an oil stain. It's one of those stains that came from grease from a car.
@@Chinoiserie9839 Ok. Well, there's a few things you may want to do. Unfortunately, your suede is pretty much ruined, so using water to rinse it off may be of some use.
Grease on suede can be tricky, but here are a couple of options you can try-just keep in mind these are at your own risk:
Baking Soda: Sprinkle baking soda directly on the grease spot and let it sit for a few days.
Let me know if it works!

will a normal eraser work?
That's a great question. The answer is no. I used a transparent spray to my suede Light camel color shoes and i got black spots on it unfortunately i will try this method hope it’s not too late

Can i still save my shoes if i washed them with water (i let the water soak in yesterday) if so what do i use?

Can I used normal eraser?!
What about white mess part ? ...
Hey friend! Thanks so much for watching. You mean the "mesh" part? I'd suggest taking a damp towel with shoe cleaner and trying to gently rub that area without getting the suede wet. Mesh is usually very durable and made from something like nylon, so it should be safe.
Wait so the regular eraser does not work on cleaning suede shoes?

Steps:
Blot the Stain:
Gently blot (do not rub) the red food stain with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb as much of the excess food as possible. Do not press too hard, as this can push the stain deeper into the suede.
Check for Dryness:
If the stain has dried, use a soft brush (suede or toothbrush) to gently lift any hardened food particles from the surface. Brush in one direction to avoid damaging the texture.
Test the Cleaner:
Before applying the Leather Honey Suede Cleaner to the stain, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of your shoe to ensure it doesn’t discolor or damage the suede.
Apply Leather Honey Suede Cleaner:
Dampen a clean cloth with a small amount of Leather Honey Suede Cleaner. Gently rub it onto the stained area, working in circular motions. Be careful not to saturate the suede too much.
Blot Excess Moisture:
After applying the cleaner, blot the area gently with a dry cloth to absorb any excess liquid. This helps prevent the suede from becoming too wet and losing its texture.
Brush the Area:
Use a soft brush to gently lift and restore the nap of the suede. Brush in the direction of the suede fibers, not against them.
If the color returns to normal, you can now dry it. If not, try repeating the process.
Allow to Dry:
Let the shoes dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight. Suede should never be dried with heat sources like a hairdryer, as this can cause the material to shrink or crack. This part is important. Try to blot out as much moisture as possible. Then, insert a towel or rag in order to absorb any excess liquid. Otherwise, your shoes may dry patchy.
Reassess:
After the shoes are dry, check the stain. If necessary, you can repeat the process. If the stain persists, you might want to consult a professional suede cleaner or consider using a specialized suede stain remover.
Additional Tip:
If the stain is particularly stubborn, a mild detergent diluted in water may help, but use it sparingly and always test on a small area first.
I hope this helps, bro!

Sorry to hear about your suede! You might still be able to restore it with these quick steps for rejuvenation (not cleaning):
Let it dry fully: If it’s still wet, give it time to dry completely.
Use a suede brush: Gently brush the suede in one direction to lift the nap and smooth things out.

You did use water to rinse the brush
You mean the laces? Haha. No water on suede, though!
I just finished washing my suede with water and detergent and later realized I had ruined it 😫
You did use water 😊😅😮
You mean the laces? Haha. No water on suede, though!
A regular eraser bro, its the same
@evumies idk bro i have tons of Jordan's, use plain ol pink eraser. Never had a problem 🤷🏾♂️
@@kingmowe I'm glad that works for you, bro! Just be careful on white shoes, it can ruin them.
@@evumies yessir thanks for the advice
it annoys me that shoes that are meant to be worn to get dirty need TOOLS to clean them. the shoes themselves were already expensive enough smh 😔
Lol, i use bleach😢
Oh no! Definitely don't use bleach! That'll ruin your suede for sure, haha. Well, maybe it's too late, but definitely not recommended! I'd suggest leather-only specific products as they are formulated and tested for best results.
I this work on nuckbuck??
That's a great question! Yes, it works similar, you may just have to be a little gentler. Nubuck is not as fibrous as suede, but rather more of a low pile sanded leather. The concept is still the same for cleaning. I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes or if you run into any snags! :)
