Gotta outright love how Thrill Drive 3 dropped the "creepy" factor to the entire game, and it shows as much in the music, those accident themes make me actually *want* to crash.
The theme went from "every move counts, choose your fate wisely, every action has irreversible consequences" to "Let's get wild! Not too wild however, could get dangerous" to "HEY, LET'S GET HIGH ON HIGH OCTANE GAS AND LET'S ROCK!!!!" You can tell from the soundtracks alone.
Holy shit, someone actually ripped the soundtrack for these games!? Thats amazing! Theres just something about the vibe of this series that I miss. Don't get me wrong, Burnout, Flatout and Need For Speed carried the crash racer spirit in different ways, but *nothing* can replicate the "Oh *NOW* You Fucked Up!" energy that crashing in Thrill Drive could produce.
Yes, thank you very much for your kind compliments and I'm humbly appreciate it with much good respect. Um, actually, before this, Mr. Burns (his channel: www.youtube.com/@MrBurnsObscureGamesTester ) did his very first discovery on the game and the soundtrack itself in March 31, 2022. It's a really late upload, but for something quite different or unique (at least), well I just did my full best without such "competition pace". And the title of the video says it all, as literally. Anyways, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you, friend! 🥳🎉🎉🎉🎆
Thanks a bunch, my friend. This is the "kind of my own video production's work signature" (both in and out of RUclips) that you would see, even in the near future videos as well - also to be such different (or otherwise unique) from others (styling). Always appreciate the positive comments. 👍👍
Ngl tho, all thrill drive soundtracks, even if it's the attraction screen parts, they all sound badass. Especially the use of Drums and guitar riffs are just perfect.
It feels like a surprise prize for players to listen to Outrun-esque music and then a final push with angelic choirs to the finish line if you happened to *endure the entire track in this game without a single crash*, which now that I have finally played it for the first time...that's absurdly easier said than done (also taking a listen at the Good Ending music...now THAT's a way to tell you made it). I had only got to listen in a single occasion the Halfway to the Finish theme but a little slip from a rival-induced crash costed me and now I was stuck with the ACCIDENT music. On the other hand, iit must be hard to not lose it when you happen to crash THAT much until the 5+ accident music starts playing...though at the same time it is truly fitting for you in a situation *trying to finish a race after that many crashes before time runs out.* Thanks for the upload!!! Still gonna have to see when I can get my own accident-less good ending in a succesful run of any of the tracks in this game lol
Always welcome, my friend! Do your absolute best in your own gameplay (of this), I really know that others did the accident-free challenge (even myself too, I already did it). Yeah, Happy Holidays too!
Found this machine in our Quantum Arcade here in the Philippines. Was confused why it was fully Japanese (But also not really). Has a first crash and was confused as to why it was changed. Did some research leading me to the Thrill Drive franchise XDD (On a sad note, the Seatbelts on the machine don't work anymore, and the 1st player machine doesn't work)
Yeah, you're absolutely right. Your idea's (Thrill DrIVe) really much better and even cool for naming it, but it's a shame that didn't happened. And we'll never know why did they chose Crazy Streets: Thrill Drive as well for their naming - since that's the 4th (and possibly final) installment of the series. Maybe, only God knows... 🤷
@@TASTomusan thrill drive 4 is the japanese version of crazy streets:thrill drive actually and there was a location test of it but sadly it was cancelled
23:55 Wait, does that arcade machine use an English patch for TD3? I've never seen it anywhere else... Apparently, it also changes the screams heard during accidents to the dubbed ones found in the game files.
Unfortunately, the full English language version isn't yet dumped (if I'm not mistaken or as far as I can remember correctly), but all we know is: "the OG Japanese version has the English patch (both male and female announcers) support, according to Jansen, the one who's fully responsible along with VGE or Video Game Esoterica, from very end of March 2022 - ruclips.net/video/kcAT9dzlzTQ/видео.html ". In other words, we'll never know sadly about the fully English ones (including the screams that are purely "Western" when your vehicle crashes), for now. But until then...
*Me recovers after crashing 3 times in a row* AI Navigation System: Your physical condition has deteriorated. Edit: Im definitely going to hell if i crash once or more. But if i didn't, hopefully someone or god forgave me for my action. But the thrill worth it...
Except the fact that it was made for the PS2, yet fully customized system exclusively on the arcades (It only requires the HDD - containing this game to play on a standard PS2 console, if I'm not mistaken). But the good thing is we have this now (to play) in this time, as thanks to Jansen and VGE of their very big efforts to preserve this masterpiece, forever.
@@TASTomusan the 3rd entry, but the first 2 aren't. But yeah, it's just a standard ps2 crammed into a metal box, which means maybe it's able to work on a 30000.
Wohooo~! Yes, finally, the complete trilogy of this masterpiece! 💪💪 You'll be remembered in the gaming history (and on RUclips as well) for these things you had done so far! Even through ups and downs, you still showed courage and boldness to make such videos of yours with or without hesitations. I have nothing to say more but, we will continue the extended support from others (like me) - for your growing milestones to come in the future! 🤝🫂❤

From "OG ominous shock with mixed of action-packed intensity", to "Death Metal/Industrial rock-esque" real quick, if I'm not mistaken.
