This is an impressive emulation, pretty much everyone else's Thrill Drive runs are full of performance and audio issues (especially with the post crash music)
I genuinely had no idea that there were so many secret characters in this game?! Honestly the idea of a bull, a cow, and two pedestrians literally outpacing multiple speeding cars is genuinely hilarious 🐄💨🚗
Thankfully You Did Complete It Without Getting Into An Accidental Crash In The 3rd Attempt With An Actual Cow That Is One Of The Secret Playable "Vehicles" So... There's The Comeback.

The start button is what changes the view. If you can't select other cars or stages, I think that means you need to go into the service menu and do the calibration for the steering wheel. I don't know exactly what you want to know about what buttons I use, but I did set the analog joystick for better steering.

The game is best played with an analog controller if you have one. I only adjusted the pedal analog, not inc or dec, because those are for when you aren't using an analog controller. If you don't have an analog controller, you'll want to play around with the sensitivity and digital speed under "analog controls", although I can't tell you exactly which settings to use there, or if it even works on this particular game. Also, I had to go into the options menu and use the steering wheel calibration, because it normally doesn't seem to turn far enough to either side.

Nope. Once you reach the third accident, there's no additional consequences other than lost time and a fear of driving

Last time I tried to run it on MAME it was stuttering like a madman. What version and settings did you use?
I used version 0.150. No special settings.

@@YashiVHS The official MAME website has older versions of MAME. You just need to go to downloads>previous releases.
You probably have an underpowered CPU. You need a 5.2 GHZ+ CPU to play at full speed

How do you select stages? I can select cars with joystick, but stages are not selectable.
You would need to go into the service menu by pressing F2, and then go to calibration to calibrate the steering wheel.
How do you disable the mirror?
You can't normally do it, but it's possible if you put this in your thrilld.xml cheat file.
