The only video on the whole Yt that actually helped. Thanks
THIS IS UNDERRATED YOU EXPLAINED IT SO SIMPLE!!
Phil, I've been watching a heap of your videos as well as others over the last month. You've done such a great job of distilling so many concepts and explaining them clearly and quickly in this video. Well done, I would rate this as your best beginner video I've seen.
I’m gonna have to give this a shot. One of my b favorite streamers learned DJing and it looks cool and fun.
i love how specific you are in this video :)
can't wait to start DJing after watching this!
Hi Phil I like to give credit where it's due, So i would like to tell you that I think you are the best TUTOR on RUclips of the way you explained every thing, I am not good at web tutoring, and if I could have a one to one tutor in person, It would be you, I know nothing about DJing but I am about to start, You are the man. and I started to buy a Dj set up but would love to get your point a view, and I am an old bloke but have a vinyl collection and use valve amplifiers
Honestly this video is sooooo helpful was much needed I’ve been Wondering for ages how to get onto performance mode thank you !!!!
It was fun, I have really enjoyed the lessons
nicely put. i feel more ready
This is Brilliant Phil!! Was breaking my head over mixing and this is extremely well explained!!
Best way to outline djing for real 👍👍👍
thanks for the lesson Phil i will work on it.
Very well explained, thank you!!
Cheers Phil , very informative 👍🏿
Pls can you make a playlist on djing on laptop using virtual dj? It's free and I'm still a student and have no money to make a dj controller cause they are very expensive so i use virtual dj and I need some tutorials. Tnx
Thank you! Super helpful!
this was super helpful!
Excited for this one Phil!
It was always my dream to be a DJ :) Awesome video :)
Very well explained for a beginner to grasp how to mix two songs together!
really helpful
i'm gonna try it
Well that was awesome
Thank you sir
Thanks Phil. Can we have a serato dj version?
Can you recommend me a good DJ-ing tablet.
Ipad are mostly the best but you can see Samsung's S series tab in android 👍
Sickk!!!!
Hi DJ Phil Harris. So I downloaded a DJ software (VirtualDJ 2021) and I tried my first mix but the track on the other deck I'm trying to precue keeps interfering with the track on the other deck playing. I was recording. And I must add that I don't have a speaker yet, just headphones.
Can you help me out please?
How do you have all your songs in a file? Can I do that with Spotify or do you have to have an Apple Music account? Is it iTunes?
Where do you download music from?
so all tracks are supposed to be the same bpm?
how do you go back to an original tracks bpm after a transition?
Please drop the link for the software download.
What about headphones to preview the mix.not all tunes work even same speed and key.you need to hear the mix b4 your crowd?????
I understand what Beat Sync does, but doesn't that also destroy the integrity of the song itself, especially if you want to include some of the Vocals of that song. Wouldn't the song not sound right?
Would you then want to restore that synced song to it's original BPM so it will sound right as the song was intended.
I think that I would just group all my songs into BPM categories, like:
124 BPM Songs,
128 BPM Songs,
132 BPM Songs, etc.
Then you wouldn't need Beat Sync at all - to alter the songs BPM.
Please do it on virtual DJ
What if the laptop is not apple mac etc..., it's ok to download the application?
how do you record it?
Just use like OBS and convert it to mp3

Quantising eliminates something musicians call a "groove", which is based on human touch and variations in tempo within bars ...not to speak of mixing different keys or putting time stretch on human voices. Guess this mixing method is only for rudimentary music without all those essential elements of real music. With time, if you're an open enough, and with experience (listening to a wider range of music), you will realise how limiting this mixing approach is. Good luck!
