    Good review, nice idea having a heater inside the filter, less clutter inside the tank. 👍

    Excellent heated external filter, I know this Italian company well, it makes excellent products for the aquarium and natural ponds. I like your presentation and explanation, your video is very useful.

    Have you had any problems with the heater being inside the filter yet? and was the filter enough for your sized tank?

    Does it fit in the Fluval Roma 125 cabinet?

    Great video. I was wondering whether I should try Oase over a Fluval 207. Though a Fluval fanboy and owner of a Fluval 307, I'm well aware of their limitations when it comes to lily pipes and whatnot. (Though relatively easy workarounds to sort these things). And I really like the in-built heater on the Oase. However, having watched your video, I am going to stick with the Fluval, only because it's so much more compact. The Oase is HUGE. Looks bigger then the Fluval 307! I am not sure I have the space for a cannister that big in my cabinet alongside my [future] CO2 system.

      Thanks for watching, I can highly recommend, I haven't had any issues with it. Its virtually silent, easy to clean. It's not the cheapest but still cheaper than the equivalent size fluval.

    Thanks.

    You said you would do an update video after 3 months? Is that a Roma 125 behind you ? Did the 0ase fit inside cabinet? I have the newer Roma 125 and there is s shef inside. Looks s tight fit to install an Oase 250. It's now at £164.99 on Pro shrimp. My Fluval 207 is a bit leaky and I want a new cannister filter.

      It's a Roma 200 but it's the old style so the cabinet is a different setup

    Love them and hate them.....the dreaded canister leaks...
    The design is terrible...
    Fine filter then medium... they needed a course med core cylinder on the pre filter

    • @fintasticaquatics8071
      @fintasticaquatics8071 3 года назад

      I agree, totally backwards design. if debris can make it through the fine sponge then of course it'll go through the course one after! What were they thinking?

    • @captainwin6333
      @captainwin6333 3 года назад +2

      Most people who know about filters will dump the main sponges anyway. I'd get a coarser one for the pre-filter to keep the flow higher. It's a load of nonsense when people say the ceramic media will clog up with muck if you don't run coarse > medium > fine sponge before it.
      I run 2 Eheim Classics with a coarse filter foam in the bottom then Substrat-Pro on top of it and it's not blocked the ceramic in almost two years of use.

      The cabinet? I don't know mate, I have an old fluval so the doors are wider. I'd measure you doors an Google the dimensions
