    Is the Oase 250 big enough for a 50 gallon planted tank?

    • @HorizonAquatics
      @HorizonAquatics  3 года назад +1

      Oase recommend that the 250 will work on a low stocked 250L normal aquarium. But as aquascapers go we aim for turn over. We recommend the 600 or if you can push to 850 that would be even better as you can not over filter :) hope this helps

    Is it enough for a 130 liter tank?

    Can i use this filter in 35 gallons?

    • @HorizonAquatics
      @HorizonAquatics  3 года назад

      Yes no problem the biomasters would be brillant for that size aquarium. The 250 will work ok but If you can push to 350 you will have less maintenance and more flow what is always a good idea to have :)

    I got one 5 days ago. I have problem with noise? It runs at 58dB. I have no air in the filter. I also put silicone on empeller now. Still noise. Got any advice? Or is 58dB normal?

    • @HorizonAquatics

      Hey this is not a issue we have come across befor. The biomaster does however have rubber grommet that attach to the underside but they dont come fitted. They are in the box with all the pipes and fittings. This helps with sound deading. If you still have issues. Oase technical support is very good and will help you solve this problem.

    Dude. the hoses leak, how do you set them up. Screw the nuts on, had another filter and it leaked EVERYTIME I cleaned the filter. I put them back on and they leaked again. Cut them and put them on, leaked again. Dropped the Filter off a bridge and smashed it into 1000 pieces. The Hoses are WHAT the filter connects to. Leaks.... Sorry.

    • @HorizonAquatics
      @HorizonAquatics  3 года назад

      Personally have never had or heard of this issue with the oase external filters. If you had such a bad issue did you try going back to the store you purchased the filter from as this obviously shouldn't happen. If it helps you need to screw the nut on fully, then apply hose then loosen the nut so its tightens around the hose. Shame you dropped it off a bridge as I'm pretty sure if there was an issue it would have been covered via warranty.

      Even the Brand new filter the 250, the hose mechanism would not lock, ha. It took me 1/2 HR to fart around with to FINALLY lock the stupid ass Slider. It refused to move into a locked position. I FEAR taking it apart the first time, it will give me the same locking prob.... Who designs these Pieces of Shit?

    • @HorizonAquatics
      @HorizonAquatics  3 года назад

      Like I said in my previous comment, have never come across this issue and suggest you contact the store you purchased from so they can check it out and if there is an issue get you a new one replaced through warranty.
      This is my last message to you as I refuse to deal with someone with an aggressive attitude.

    ANOTHER VID where the guy does NOT show how to attach the hoses... The MOST Crucial Part of the Vid.. to later find out they leak Great Vid.... NO iTS NOT!

      Haha :) its an overview of 'whats in the box' and general info. not a how to set up a filter. Thanks

      Maybe stick with internal foam filters, Mr Angry, they shouldn't leak for you. BTW my Oase 600 hoses don't leak and I've not heard of other people's leaking either. The problem probably wasn't the hoses, but instead a "little closer to home"....
