@@4UnkleSloww It's a basketball term, maybe you're not familiar with it. Above the break means a 3pt shot that's not in the corners. The corner 3pt line is straight, right? Then it becomes curved as it gets to the top of the 3pt arc. The point where it goes from a straight to a curved line is called "the break". Scoring from 3 "above the break" , ie on the curved section, is more difficult because it is farther from the basket by a foot and a half. It's also where you find the elite pull-up 3pt shooters like Curry and Dame work their magic.

To be considered the greatest scorer ever, you must excel in every setting: regular season, playoffs, and finals. Maintaining or elevating your scoring in all these environments is crucial. Melo, while an elite scorer, never reached the finals, and his playoff numbers dipped slightly. Without proving himself at the highest levels, it's hard to consider him the greatest scorer. MJ, on the other hand, not only dropped 63 points against Bird’s Celtics but consistently elevated his game in the playoffs and finals. Melo isn't on that level. The shooter vs. scorer debate is unnecessary-there are different types of scorers: those who shoot threes, drive, dunk, hit mid-range shots, etc. If you score at a high level, you’re a scorer, regardless of how you do it. Some players excel in multiple or all types of scoring; they’re all still scorers. MJ also played elite defense, which adds to his case. Imagine if he focused solely on offense like Melo or Luka do? Scoring at a high level in all environments matters because it shows you can handle pressure and remain unstoppable against the best, where defenses are specifically adjusted to stop you. Lastly, MJ has 10 scoring titles. Why is this even a debate?
How they dismiss Wilt Chamberlain shows that even former NBA players don’t always know what they’re talking about! Do your research people! 70% of Wilt Chamberlain shots were fadeaways.

10 scoring titles! End of debate.
Melo gotta a better post 3 and free throw … Melo the best ever not the most ever
Steph is the greatest scorer EVER!!!!!! You can’t leave him OPEN at ALLLLL!!!! Anybody else you can still give them space. YOU CANT LEAVE STEPH OPEN!!!!!!!!!! He’s not just a Shooter. He’s a PURE scorer of the basketball!!!!! How the FUCK is the Best Shooter on planet earth not a Scorer???? Make it make sense!!! Last time I check, Steph can do everything on the floor offensively. He has no weakness offensively. This is coming from a Kobe Fan. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
STEPH THE GUY THAT CHOKED A 3-1 TO THE ALL TIME LEADING SCORER
The way kenyon martin broke down playin melo was beautiful
"defender you can score on " is crazy 🤣🤣
When McCants not on the show it’s actually a top 3 podcast
Top 1 if he is the show
Are you kidding? McCants makes the show not feel bland. A lot of people like Rashaad on the show, it's just you
10:29 HARDEN WAS DROPPING 60pt trip dubs..my career numbers
He did that shit like once 😂😂😂
@@unclehoweyou make it sound easy. Lol Luka and Harden are the only two to ever do it.
On 25 FTs lmfaoooo
How many dribbles it takes to score is the best description of who should be in this argument
GILBERT FUCKING ARENAS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SCORERS IN MY LIFE!! Dude is too humble noone besides kobe was fucking with gil.
and gill could get it from all three levels and would post u up at the pg!
Kobe bricks Bryant
@@codyking3825try again 🤦🏾
I hope you wiped yo mouth after u posted this 😂
Tmac just died huh?
Wilt! PERIOD... 55ppg 25rpg for the season multi times
I'm a huge Wilt fan. He's top 5 in my All Time players list but Wilt played in an era where there were 6 teams, he was the tallest while everybody was under 6'9" and the game was not as crafty and hard to guard 😂 I can't see Wilt as the greatest scorer of all time.
Melo’s jab-step into jumper was so graceful bruh
Curry is the only guy who was the same in the video game and in real life
I don't play 2k since 2k18 but the game did not reflect steph unless he was hot
Melo is not on KDs level scoring wise, especially since he heavily startet declining after 11-12 seasons, also he really wasn't efficient. KD is a player you can expect an efficient 25+ ppg EVERY NIGHT, even with 35. I think its disrespectful to KD discussing this, cause there has been no NBA player who can easily score efficient on all 3 levels like that.
🎯🎯
stay off the weeeeeeed! Nel got every move in his arsenal, a three pointer mid range, step back, post up, getting into the basket, plan in the paint, buckets off offensive rebounds, first step, fade away. KD cannot be in the same conversation as Melo, because he’s nothing but a jump shooter he has no post game and he barely goes to the basket😢
I think with scorers, their game and the strategy is based around them getting buckets, whether it’s free throws, mid range, post ups, open threes, fast breaks, iso. Steph’s game is based around his shooting and getting him open but he can do other things, Lebrons game is based around facilitating but he can do way more as well.
Kobe in 3 quarters have more points than curry lebron and KD jajajajajajajajajaaja oooooh and the 60 point game of lebron was vs the bobcats jajajajajaja
Tracy McGrady is the best scorer ever.
In what universe is this?
🤔 nope
Same age, same years, all came in the nba the same time..everything equal..who better?.can't discuss it because everybody has their own opinion..debate futile..but I looove to hear all opinions n the debate..we all right..
Before I watch one second of this video, I'm coming to the comments just to let it be known... prime James Harden is the best score the NBA has ever seen in the modern day era.
Not sure how big of a factor clutch is in this conversation. Because Harden scores like a bench player in big games.
@@penkima4923
False, I can literally show you as much as big performances as you can bad performances, but the media only focuses on the bad.
Yes his stepback and euro was unstoppable but he wasnt the best scorer we’ve seen. He didnt have a 1 / 1-2 dribble pull up and no post moves. He is a natural shooter that can score
@@Jm3rv
That might have been One of the worst breakdowns of James Harden's game I've ever heard, lol.
@@4a_atm Then you must’ve not watched Harden. They literally say in the video he is a shooter first that can score and I am simply agreeing. He is not a 5 level scorer like Tmac, Kobe, KD etc. If you don’t agree that he abused Stepback 3s and Euro steps for fouls then I am wasting my time. He has more free throws then FGA lol. Ive been a fan of his since he went to Artesia HS here in Socal and no doubt he mastered what he did but please elaborate on how he is the greatest scorer the NBA has ever seen 🤣
Top 5 scorers MJ Kobe KD Harden … top 4 scorers all time handsdown 5th spot can be a toss up between (Ai Melo Luka TMac etc.)
Do a head to head. AI vs Pistol, Westbrook vs James Harden, shaq vs Hakeem, pistol vs steph. Separate all the categories and do a tourny style bracket. Kareem vs wilt, Luka vs Derrik rose, Rex Chapman vs , chris Mullin etc etc
“1-2 pull up from the half court line” 😂😂😂😂😂 bj funny asf , curry like dat fr tho lol
For context , I was born in 1995. The first game I ever watched when I knew what was going on I was 6… the best pure scorers I’ve seen with my eyes “live”!and in they…. Kobe, Melo, KD, Bron, Iverson, Tmac, Harden, Luka,
Jordan is the only one who consistently made the best defenders lose sleep the night before a matchup. MJ was the best scorer hands down.
DeRozan for his spurs stint was all time clutch when we needed a bucket. Every single time he scored under pressure.
You can't forget about Bernard King, Kevin Martin, and Mitch Richmond and Tom Chambers.
Hell na.
Any order
McGrady
MJ
Kobe
Iverson
Durant

Kyrie
Carmelo Anthony
So talking about his height is ignorant on Kenyons part! The average height of the centers he played against was 6’10”! And they actually played inside. So stop!!
Wilt owns the record books
Wilt is the goat 🐐 none of you N,s know that Wilt holds all the records
12:11 natural scorer is more of overall offense shooting, 3s, dunks, cross overs, mids, dominance steph falls a little short in some of these categories
I hate to say it but they are a bit off with this one
You had
• Benard King - New York Knicks
• George Iceman Gervin - San Antonio Spurs
• Allen Iverson - 76ers
There are so many players that were a, Bucket. SO MANY.
