We can say “it’s only a 2 hour podcast” but in reality, those are precious hours being spent on something other than: recovery, film or simply relaxing. I think they missed one of the biggest benefits of active NBA players doing podcast. Its way easier to build up an audience on a podcast when you are active in the NBA because that's when you are at peak relevance and have the most eyes on you most of the time. It's like when AD commented on Kobe playing hurt on a podcast with D Lo. Gil's arena pointed out how this guy was impressed but can't do the same. Not saying it's easy playing hurt and these guys mostly come in with minor injuries to play. But D Lo and co-host could ask why you can't do the same, especially when in need of wins.
Bitter lol why does theo pinson he in the g league with a podcast
That’s exactly why he’s bitter
Gil 1000% right. End of story. Take advantage of the technology in front of you. Anyone with a brain should get this.
Brandon just sounds bitter because they still get to hoop and speak on THEIR situation at the same time.

No it don’t!
🤣🤣🤣.BIG FACTS!!💯💯💯

Could Kwame had change his narrative if he had a podcast 25 years ago?
Absolutely
Or it could have made it worst
He could have added context but it wouldn’t have changed much because he wasn’t producing enough on the court. People just probably wouldn’t refer to him as a bust.
NO… he was SOFT then and STILL is SOFT now….
Good question to ask the cast
MJ can’t even be mentioned without Gil losing his mind lmao
Gil represents a group of retired players who didn't really make good use of their playing days and now think the best way to endear themselves to the current crop of players and remain relevant is crapping on the old guard. You try to criticize any current player and Gil goes into one of his incoherent rants. To him Bron and the current crop of players can do no wrong.
Facts
Brandon is wrong for the simple fact these narrative destroy careers. You think players like Kwame don’t think they could’ve defended themselves back than?
If Kwayme would have said anything back then in the prime Micheal Jordan time it would have been worse for him. So no. Him defending himself would have been a faster death
@@Higantethegoat29 because that’s a character flaw I’m not referring to those who had character flaws I’m referring to those who had instances that wasn’t cleared up. There’s instances where Kwame could like when he was called a bum? Same way Westbrook said the westbrick thing is disrespectful to him and his family and he’s look at as a cancer to the team. There’s a difference
Exactly, why would you let someone continue tarnish your image and ruin your career.
@@DemecioAdams these people don’t realize these narratives prevent deals and money from coming in. That affects not only their livelihood but they’re families it’s weird and shouldn’t be argued.
If he played to his potential he wouldn’t have to control his narrative
I was raised with my grandparents and one thing my granddad taught me was to just let things be what they are, those who know you will never have to question your character and if you go around clearing everything up then you are losing much more energy. That’s all BJennings is saying, you use unnecessary energy to clear up something that is irrelevant and doesn’t break you or build you… just a response charged from emotion. We can say “it’s only a 2 hour podcast” but in reality, those are precious hours being spent on something other than: recovery, film or simply relaxing. I played college basketball and I can attribute that extra 2 hours after practice to having an accounting class over zoom… it sucked more after practices because your body can’t just shut down.
These rules don’t apply when you’re a famous person with millions and a brand. Things need to be cleared up for future opportunities. Nothing wrong with getting shit off your chest. This ain’t back in the day we live in a different time.

I disagree, let the players control their narratives. They’re obviously doing something right because their platforms are continuing to grow.
Its entertaining. But it has definitely become a distraction. You can't tell me Draymonds contract hasnt been a distraction to him and the Warriors. PG is a little better bt even he is giving away free game. Telling teams he doesnt know how to backdoor cut. Cmon man.
@@Shortballa11 there are pros and cons to damn near everything in this world. But one thing I won’t do is try to knock a man’s livelihood or how he chooses to express himself.

I think they missed one of the biggest benefits of active NBA players doing podcast. Its way easier to build up an audience on a podcast when you are active in the NBA because that's when you are at peak relevance and have the most eyes on you most of the time. So if they get a career ending injury or for one reason or another they are out of the league. At least they got something to immediately fall back on that can make them money.
So yall can gossip about them but they cant?😂
Exactly gtfooh
They ain’t active

@@AshBashSneakers No some of them are active they simply aint active in the NBA they apart of other leagues tho. And the Paul George narrative needs to stop he came to the Clippers as the clear number 2 even self admitted it. Its not his fault Kawhi cant stay healthy in the playoffs. Remember PG led them to their only WCF appearance.I doubt anyone on that panel can come back from that leg injury PG had and eventually be a MVP and DPOY candidate.
Conversations like this are what makes this show so great.
If a random person walked in they'd have thought that Brandon and Gil were about to fight😂 but thats just how basketball brothers talk to each other 😂

K-Mart is becoming a GURU

If you notice, it seems that a lot of podcasts are being started by players that are starting to see the nearer end of their careers. Kind of past prime.
