      Rick Fox was a dawg tho shout out to him I miss that Laker squad from the early 2000s. Liked it better than the Kobe led Lakers and the Bron led Lakers for sure and even more than the Magic and Kareem Lakers. I think that era of the Lakers had the most talent.

      If those lakers guards besides kobe played against steph, kd and klay running around circles all night long yeah they'd be gassed, plus a massive hole on Lakers defense cuz shaq is on the court lol it's always going to be an open shot for either klay, steph and kd, in 2017 and 2018 teams that's dedicated to slow those three down couldn't do shit, imagine a pretty much 4vs5 situation in almost every position where shaq is on the court. 3s would rain down on the Lakers.

    • @scamlikely7814
      @scamlikely7814 17 дней назад +1

      @@Rell559they’d have to shoot like 70-90% from 3 because on the other side Shaq is a guaranteed 2 points and sometimes an AND1 and then that opens up Kobe’s game to put who ever is guarding him foul trouble. It’s almost impossible unless you have an elite elite center to shutdown this Lakers team

    • @Rell559
      @Rell559 16 дней назад

      @scamlikely7814 with wide open shots every possession they might as well make above 50% of their 3 point shots, and if shaq is a guaranteed bucket then why bother put too much effort against him? That's just fucking dumb, warriors could do the opposite of "anyone can score but him" Defense, choking up kobe while letting shaq score, hell warriors could even foul the living shit out of shaq if they want to since they have two big guys that could give him hard fouls but play within warriors offense, the same exact tactic that almost give lakers the massive L back in 2002 but instead of a grit and grind offense of the kings, it would be faster, much more tiring and exhausting for a lakers team that's centered around a man to man defense because shaq must be glued 10 feet or below from the basket.

    No lead is safe against that Warriors team at the end of the day.. the easy solution would be for the Warriors to push the pace to the point Shaq can’t even keep up. So when he has to sit, it’s all on Kobe and the Warriors can really run the score up before he even comes back in.

    • @christianmorgan5956

      Even if your making all these 3's every possession the game is stopping because Shaq is getting fouled every time. The 3 point shot was the difference maker for Golden State because they were getting stops and make 3's. With Shaq down low they would put the Warriors in foul trouble so they wouldn't be running all game. And for the hoopers out there the game goes fast then slow its hard for you to get in rhythm. On top of that Phil Jackson is running circles around Steve Kerr

    • @TreyWilliams-zy8iw

      LAKERS all day baby!!! warriors are just going to shoot themselves into oblivion. warriors live and die by the three. warriors aint making 30 out 45 attempted threes every game in the finals against the lakers. And yall better put some respect on D Fish's name. Sure Klay and Steph are going to get their looks from three point land but Lakers aint going to make it a cake walk for them. And Phil Jackson aint no dummy. He knows Warriors got no answer for Shaq. So he'll keep having the team toss the ball to the big man down in the post to let Shaq have a field day. Dont even get me started on Kobe. Sure ill give Iggy the flowers of being a great defender... but Kobe being Kobe... he ain't ever let any legit defender stop him ala Raja Bell, Bruce Bowen, Ruben Patterson, Shane Battier, Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince.
      And ya no shit three is better and more than 2. No doubt. But Phil Jackson aint going to let the warriors just constantly move around and let them get to their spots.

    Crazy seeing NBA players argue. . . .
    Missing the real arguing points.
    Style of play?
    The Shaq led Lakers played the halfcourt Triangle offense, throw the ball down to Shaq posting up to start the offense= slower paced offense, less shot attempts, lower scoring output.
    ** 2003 SA Spurs beat that Lakers team in the WCF 4-2 because they played an uptempo offense. had more scoring opportunities.**
    The GS Warriors with those players, played an uptempo offense= more shot attemps, more fast break points, more open 3's, less fouling. Shaq becomes more of a liability than an asset, just because of the fast paced Warriors.
    Prediction? GS would beat those Lakers 4-1, or 4-2
    Styles make fights!

I remember when they would put the clamps to start the third quarter and do a full court press after every made shot and free throw. They would suffocate the other team with the 3 All-NBA Defensive players (Harper was an underrated defender) and Rodman would definitely get the better of Draymond. The Warriors had KD who is/was incredible so that would’ve been a tough matchup but who on the Warriors team could defend Kukoc? He was the innovator of the smooth shooting bigs. He was 6’11” and had a smooth 3 pointer. It would’ve been a great matchup but that Warriors team wouldn’t beat the 95-96 Bulls

    Kobe mentioned in an interview with Ernie Johnson how much Shaq would influence this exact match up. He's so dominant that he would bring the game to a stand still and force teams to play slower.
    Your only option on offense is to try to bring Shaq up out of the key, but then the Lakers could simply run zone and keep Shaq planted near the baseline.
    Shaq is literally the most dominant for a reason. He would break your team down by himself.

      You play zone against non shooters! If you go to a zone against a pick and roll with no help. Curry and KD would have 50 a piece!
      The warriors are not letting Shaq stand on the baseline and rest on defense. Shaq gonna come out here and get switched on this screen. And if he don’t switch, D fisher gonna have a long night trying to fight over and keep up with Steph

      @@jb-fl7lei get what you saying about Shaq. But who’s he guarding on defense? When they bring him to the top of the key and switch on a screen and he gotta guard Steph OR kd all game. He never was in good shape. He’ll be tired as hell before half. It’s no way shaq can keep up with the pace of the warriors offense.
