I believe this is the best episode of GIl's Arena to date. The conversation was balanced and full of mutual respect. I think the show is better when guests visit the show, because it gives everyone incentive to listen more and ask more questions, so that everyone is conversing rather than arguing. That, and both Andre and Evan seem like charismatic, self-aware people, at least in terms of the NBA part of their lives.
the arguing is so authentic tho when they do i need both equally.
Iguodala is a businessman. I’d love to see him keep playing but it sounds like he already making a pivot. Definitely gonna watch their new podcast to see what else I can learn.

I'm so glad Iggy finally spoke up about what Draymond does.. dude was directing the plays man. Off the screens to Steph & Klay. In 2015-16 Draymond could shoot back then. I was actually scared when he kept the ball because he's going to shoot a 3. They don't give Shawn Livingston his flowers tho. Livingston was playing outta this world.

Some serious jewels were being dropped by Evan on the refs, nba players, ownership, and his growth & development.
I was at a Minnesota Twins game once with a buddy and we were talking hoops and I brought up Iggy, and this guy sitting next to me interrupts us and says "Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston are two of the smartest basketball players I've ever seen at the high school level." Turns out he was a high school basketball coach in Illinois.
OK... this was really really good. Everybody sober and making us all wiser from their experience and knowledge. Best episode so far. Need to make these guys regulars.

I really love that more and more former and current athletes are doing more media outside of the average press conference and post game interviews giving us more insight and prospectives into the sports we love watching. These shows and podcasts are such a joy for me to listen to

As a long time GSW fan, I was in high school in 1975, Dre sure as hell earned that MVP award in 15.
