The last one was a pull from the nirvana album cover with the baby in the pool!!!
The fathom cover art is a throw back to nirvana's nevermind album cover from september 1991. It had such songs as "come as you are" and "smells like teen spirit".
The TMNT comic is old school style lol, what are you talking about? And FYI Kevin Eastman created the TMNT!
That TMNT comic was the best book in the lot! He only responds to value.

The variant covers are not worth the sticker they are placing on the book. I have ordered four of their mystery boxes and have not been able to sell one of those variant covers for the price they listed. I don't mind because I am buying them for a chance at the grand prize. Just be aware you are probably not getting your money back.

I have a friend who owns a comic book shop and I was talking to him about these mystery boxes and showed him your videos and with the comics he said those prices are off and they put those on the comics so you think you're getting more value than in the boxes as most of those are common $3 comics but a lot are $1.comics now this isn't everything the Eastman autograph is close to that on a mint condition comic but he's a fan of everything else just the comics aren't a good deal

Total agree, comics have shit for value unless you are talking about the 1950 and 60 first issues. My 92 to 94 comic books I'm gonna be on my death bed when I can sell them. I'll stick to Lego minifigures better odds for $$$

So you def do not have any knowledge of comics man. You are strictly here for the flip and it shows. As a guy who gets records constantly you should have recognized that the Fathom was a mashup crossover from Nirvana. The Punisher that you like was one of the books worth the least haha. Like 5 bucks!! The Ninja Turtle book was the most impressive and you said it didn't have that comic book cover look to it. It just didn't have a title. Look up some Turtle comics. I mean your opinion is valid but you sound like you don't know what you are talking about.

@@MrHawkTV Apparently you have never tried to make a Funko purchase and miss out because flippers like him buy mass amounts of stock. His Amazon crates and lootcrate unboxing vids are pretty interesting and his wife and his interactions are genuine. But to purchase these collectors comics boxes simply to resell makes me crazy. I agree he is a great guy but if I ordered these comic boxes and missed out as a collector on that Kevin Eastman signed book to a reseller I would feel pretty disappointed.
I don't know anything about comics but I just love all you and your wifes videos. You make so many good ones I enjoy seeing you get excited for comics and you make it interesting. My favorites are the electronic pallets. Keep up the awesome work!!
Older Fathom issues have way better art,to me the Kevin Eastman comic blows all the others away
I agree with you on the older comics looking better....the older ones you could tell something of the story that was in the comic, nowadays you have no idea by looking at the cover. Other than that great pulls on the comics.

Clint just to let you know the Fathom comic was made by an independent publisher and those tend to have lower cost covers and interior art but can sometimes be worth more than their contemporary comics from DC or Marvel and the other mainstream large comic publishers

The cover break point is when they stopped hand drawing them. Most stuff is done on computers now. Its lacking the heart that old cover had. Of course that's just my opinion.
That black cat cover is by ArtGerm I think. I love that Eastman variant and the punisher cover too! Every artists eidetic memory varies with cover art. You’re probably gonna get indie comics in them boxes as well.
i just received the 2 boxes i ordered, their sticker values are a bit over what the books actually are selling for, but they are pretty spot on to what some of 'the guides" are stating, which i am ok with since i dont really sell my books anyhow, i enjoy the stories and the cover art on almost all comics, what my favorite thing as you touched on...if i get a book i would not have thought about buying at the comic shop, it gives me a chance to read something i may not have, and of course theres the whole ... " i may get a grail!!" .. lol , i am debating on ordering again from them, but hate the month long wait to receive the order so i am probably going to wait a bit and see if they can get their program up and running at a faster pace
Clint, the autograph comic of TMNT by Kevin Easton is awesome. If it’s signed by Kevin Eastman is the SAME guy who did the sci-fi art for the sci-fi fantasy mag, Heavy Metal.

I purchased a bunch of this product. Never hit anything great. I find the values are inflated. I had one that was labelled at $50. It sold after relisting four times on ebay for $5. I will save my money.
Comics are not liquid good.you can only get food money if you find the right person.

The one that said is 15 dollars is only worth 50 cents, when that same comic that was on the shelves it was worth 4 dollars, but once it’s sold the price goes down. Modern comics don’t have that classic look to it and there story lines are far fetched, that’s why modern comics are not popular.

I agree with Clint here I've collected comics since the late 80's mainly xmen marvel comics. So off brand stuff wouldn't know without looking up. He unboxes and edits but it's not like he does multiple recordings to change video. Just how is he suppose to research a mystery box before he opens it? I ordered 3 boxes and value to me wasn't there solely because they were almost all newer DC comics. Would I buy again yes just waiting for next grail chance that I like. Keep it up Clint my daughter and I watch your videos every day.

I think it's the difference between computer drawn and hand drawn...
Love watching your videos, especially the unboxings with your wife, (forgive me, I'm new and I've forgotten her name). Anyway, I don't know anything about comics but I think the difference in the old covers and the new covers is that the old ones were actually hand drawn, the energy of the artist went from hand to pen to paper, today they do it on a computer and draw by pixels, the heart of the artist is lost in the image. And the fathom comic reminds me of the graphics for the movie Atlantis" with Michael J Fox.

I got a Fathom #1 in my box as well. It was bordered black rather than white. Definitely don’t know much about it.

I love real artwork. Everything is digital now and it spoils it. Yeah it's all perfect and looks airbrushed but nothing now matter how clever the computer can compete for me with the likes of Stan Lee's original work. The one you showed of Spidey from 1990 is exactly the type of artwork I love. You did good with your Turtles signed one, that will be worth a lot eventually. How do you think I feel I had 2000AD from the beginning but because they were my brothers they were a bit rough. But they were done on newsprint paper so they were fragile as hell. I gave them away. Yeah I know DOH!!

I have no idea who you send comics to get graded. I honestly have no idea. If it was coins and I had a rare one and hoping it was worth a lot I would send it to PCGS.
