Replaced mine about a week ago, code went away then came back. The fun begins
Wastegate could be loose or worn
@@erebus6383 that's what I'm worried about
@@erebus6383 was thr waste gate flapper
I can't wait to attempt this fix; part comes in tomorrow!!
let us know how it went!
Did it fix your problem?
@@OmarJace For a while, it did! Then the code came back a few weeks later.
Turned out the turbo was shot.
Got it fixed yesterday, so hopefully no more problems after that! 🤙🏾
@@claudjarodnez how many miles did you have before your turbo was shot?
really good explanation and video, thank you for showing
I have this issue on my 2.0T 2007 6 speed manual B7. The check engine light comes on when ever I drop gear or accelerate swiftly. But I dont feel any proble with acceleration. Believe the turbo kiks in. So from your wonderful video Im sure it is the senson. Does it have a unique part number for my model?
Did it fix the issue? I got the same code.
just tried removing this on my 2013 Q5 and couldn't get the top bolt out. bought a 90 degree adapter and will try again.
any luck with that? im at a similar stage.
I wouldn't say this will definitely fix the turbo because it could be a loose or worn wastegate too. Still some good info tho. 👍
Had this issue one a newly replaced turbo. Changed the dv and still had the problem. Turned out the wastegate had FALLEN OFF, and was rattling around near the compressor wheel.
Would faulty DV cause car to limp mode
U know your shit man, thank you!!!
Great video ✊🏾
Thanks 💯
My car is as if it doesn’t have a turbo, throws the same fault code, had turbo re conned months ago have been driving like this in all honesty but has not made a difference, could it be the diverter valve?
Wastegate flap
This does not mean it will fix your issue in all cases. Yes this is common but under boost can be caused by a multitude of issues. Leaking charge pipe. Bad turbo. Wastegate problem. Wastegate actuator. A proper diagnostic is recommended before throwing parts.
another parts changer,no scan data no live data diagnosis just throw the parts cannon and see if it works
Take the front clip off its so much easier
😂 that's a giant waste of time
@@Fixinitseannot really if u know what u are doing it takes 10 min to put in service mode
Just subscribe today 👍 . i love impala actuators click knock knock video.. 😂 lol , nice .
Thanks for the support!
I replaced this and the code still shows up
Wastegate is the issue then
Did it work? Because it didn't work for me. Still have p0299 code.
I really would like to know if it worked?
@@ImpalaConvertibleSuperSport i have a same problem did u fix it?
Wastegate is the issue you need a turbo 😊
My car is giving me that code and it won’t go over 20 mph
You may have issues with your catalytic converter
What does catalytic converter has to do with speed? I am new to it.
your muffler is where gasses are released, if its clout engine won't have power. but you may also have a bad turbo
@@GarageBoys how do i clean it? It’s an audi a4
Anyone current watching this? I’m about to attempt this fix. Looking to get a current thread going.
I tried messing with the actuator and couldn’t get it to move at all. Although I couldn’t get an incredibly firm grip on it.
If this doesn’t work, I’m thinking it’ll be either a small leak somewhere or the tubing going to N75 valve.
Had this issue first come on when I shifted at about 3100-3200 rpm onto the highway in 3-4th. I replaced the air filter and I beat on the car and the code didn’t reappear. 3 days later the code came back when I was once again on the highway shifting at 3k rpm, not even hard on the throttle.
Check your wastegate flap. Common for them to go loose
