    CHECK ALL YOUR SENSORS! I had p299, epc, plus some slight timing chain rattle, low power, low torque response, p130a, p2337, p102f codes that ALL got fixed after replacing my CRANKSHAFT SENSOR! All my other sensors were pretty new except this one and didn't even expect a fix when I replaced and everything was fixed. Before expensive parts I recommend trying the sensors. I apid for a shop diag that didn't even mention sensors and luckily tried it on my own. I've driven it hard even at full throttle multiple times now and no engine lights weird noise so far. on the new sensor. Power and torque all feel great. Wish I'd replaced the sensor 50k miles ago.

      @@bahadrunal7343 I'm not a mechanic and not familiar with Insignia unfortunately. I would be sure to replace your CAM sensor, CRANK sensor, and boost sensor, MAP sensor, and check Oxegyn sensor, and check/replace PCV valve system if you have these. I have not seen othe rpeople mention the Crank sensor like my situation so it could be uncommon but I had multiple issues and codes that were all fixed with a new Crank sensor so wanted to share to maybe help someone else, had I checked mine before the diagnostic and fuel pump replacment it could have saved me a lot of money.

    My VW Passat 1.8t (same engine as Audi A4 B5/B6) I was getting that code. Found my waste gate was not closing all the way. Installed a new and upgraded K04 turbo and it went away but would come back intermittently. I was getting a noise like a bad cam chain tensioner but after replacing it I found some exhaust manifold nuts were loose and the exhaust leak was causing that noise. So tightened them and all good again with no codes.

    I have a Buick Encore with the 1.4L turbo engine. It had a P0299 low boost trouble code. I had determined it was the turbo after much diagnosis. I received a letter from Buick that if my engine has this problem, Buick was required to replace the turbo if the vehicle has less than 120,000 miles and is less than 10 years old. I just got my car back from the dealer. They replaced the turbo and related parts. Cost? $0.00. This may be the same for all the GM 1.4L Eco Boost engines.

    Had a similar issue with a non turbo car 99 Mercedes ML420 (V8). It was low on power, in fact wouldn't do more than 40 mph. Found two cats clogged. I cut open, gutted them out,and rewelded pipe... but same thing happened again. I found what I thought was the resonator was actually two more cats in the back. So a total of four cats on the car. Gutted and welded those too then it ran great.

    • @DaytonCarCare
      @DaytonCarCare 2 месяца назад

      @@TheUmarrawat The exhaust gas pressure or flow needs somewhere to go. If the cats are clogged it's like putting a "banana in the tail pipe", like Beverly hills cop lol... Oh another thing to look for is make sure your hoses to the intercooler are tight or the intercooler isn't damaged.

    that it could be a BMW x5 e70 35d m57 n2 twin turbo, after removing the EGR it gives error P0299 before removing the EGR there was a clogged particulate filter error, the EGR was removed. turned off ad blue, and then turned off soot, after that such an error occurred, all electric valves were replaced, namely 3 pcs., all regulating valves were also 3 pcs.! Both the turbines and the West Gate show everything well after the repair on the stand! put in the car error p0299, the particulate filter was not removed because the master said that it was not there! the car does not smoke, the exhaust is clean, although as far as I know, after removing soot, the car should smoke a little!

Around 250 bucks is what a new one’s gonna cost. I actually have visions of way way more. Like on so many other things it’s just time to bite the bullet and get it going again. I’m no expert but I would check the boost pressure sensor first probably. It could be bad and telling the ecu incorrect boost numbers. So the ecu would think the boost psi is out of spec but it is not. Just a guess and at least on my car that part was like $15 so may be worth trying.

      @@korruptcontent954 Thank you for the reply. Luckily I only have to drive it one day before I can get it in the shop. I’m praying it isn’t the turbocharger itself and rather just a leak due to cracked hoses or something. Have you had your fuel injectors cleaned at all? The lower gas mileage and misfire could be a sign of dirty fuel injectors. I’m by no means an expert but it might be worth looking in to.

      I literally have a video of him opening my hood the first thing he does is go grab a ratchet and fix it something!
      And I have them on the same video telling his boss he deleted my code.
      And by watching the video I can deduce they forgot to put the piece that goes from the turbo to the engine.
      That whole week my car sounded like it had a supercharger in it.
      But it's on the warranty so... If they break it they going to have to fix it!
      But after that it sounded normal again but my gas mileage was messed up.
      I've been waiting a little because I just don't know what to do do I take it to a lawyer?
      Or do I just tell the dealership My gas mileage has been messed up for a little while and I just found this video of your mechanic lying?

    • @dy1angi11ey6
      @dy1angi11ey6 Год назад

      @@korruptcontent954 Sorry for the tough situation. Your fuel injectors likely aren’t the problem if the car is new, but if it’s a used car with a decent amount of miles it could be. Mine is at around 154,000 miles and cleaning my fuel injectors with one of those fuel injection cleaning fluid cans and replacing my dirty air filter brought it up by about 3-4mpg. Not sure what I’d do about the mechanic situation, but if you have proof that he is lying I’d bring it up with the dealership and then take legal action if need be. Best of luck to you.
