Except for the plant protein bit, and that meat causes arthritis. Many, many people (mikhaila Peterson and Rebekah Heishman are two that come to mind) have gone on carnivore to get rid of arthritis completely. In fact, Mikhaila had such severe RA, she had to have a hip and ankle replacement in her teens. It wasn’t until she eliminated all carbs, including vegetables, that she was able to heal and reverse all symptoms.
Plant protein is the worst thing you can do. It’s not bioavailable, like animal protein and the anti-nutrients in plants can really be a problem.

Protien is an integral part of the human diet, it's the carbs and sugar that are causing your heartburn eliminate carbs and sugar. Eat red meat, animal fats, good quality salt and water, make sure you include organ meats.

Try 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar (with the "mother") in cup of water 20 minutes (or with) before your meal. This will increase acid in your stomach which gets weaker as we age and is important for digesting protein. There are also specific enzymes for fats, carbs, and protein and you can Google for that.

I recall watching (and later reading Colleen McCullough’s book), Tim. I was horrified by Australian “tea”, during which large portions of 2-3 different types of sweets were consumed at one sitting. In America we probably eat as much, but spread out over the day.
A year ago, I gave up my favorite sweets, such as banana-nut bread, blueberry muffins, chocolate croissants, and cookies.
Unfortunately I have not lost any weight, and my stomach keeps getting bigger. I’m not a snacker, prefer 2-3 meals per day.

Same here, but just found out that I have to take care of my fatty liver. You won’t loose weight if there is a problem. Dr. Berg suggests Tudca supplement for a while to get liver in good shape.

    • @jsi4064
      @jsi4064 17 часов назад

I've never heard of any meal being referred to as 'tea' in Australia. I have heard English people referring to 'tea' as a meal many, many, many times in TV shows and movies. By contrast to the fiction of 'Tim' growing up we had meals called 'breakfast', 'lunch' and 'dinner'. Dinner at our house included a 'singular' modest home-made (by mum) dessert. At school we had 'morning tea' about 10AM. Mine always consisted of fruit (that annoyed me no end) whilst my friends might get a donut or muffin or muesli bar. But I have to say I've never seen in my many decades a meal consisting of multiple sweets. In fact, most of my friends (all whose parents were very 'comfortable') didn't even get dessert on a week night.
I'm only throwing this comment in, as whatever is in that book 'Tim' about Australian's eating habits, seems to me to be specific to the fictional story, which means it is literally pure fiction.

according to Dr Berg the keto diet's exacerbation of those symptoms are temporary at first and will subside. He also suggests drinking LOTS of water, adding lemon juice to water, and taking electrolytes (powder or liquid).

I had kidney cancer earlier this year. Stage 1 luckily. Had surgery to remove part of one kidney. Urologist said to reduce or avoid red meat due to too much protein and phosphorus. Reduce carbs, sugar etc. Of course. And avoid cola drinks. Which also has phosphorus. Drink lots of water, reduce dairy and nightshade veggies. Too much inflammation. Weight gain/obesity related to kidney issues.

      from Healthline:
Coconut products: Full-fat coconut milk, coconut cream, unsweetened coconut.
Oils: Olive oil, nut oil, coconut oil, MCT oil, avocado oil.
Nuts and seeds: Almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, hemp seeds, chia seeds, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower butter, cashew butter.
Non-starchy vegetables: Leafy greens, Brussels sprouts, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms.
Vegan protein sources: Full-fat tofu, tempeh.
Vegan full-fat “dairy”: Coconut yogurt, vegan butter, cashew cheese, vegan cream cheese.
      Avocados: Whole avocados, guacamole.
Berries: Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries can be enjoyed in moderation.
Condiments: Nutritional yeast, fresh herbs, lemon juice, salt, pepper, spices.
Though the keto diet cuts out many food groups that vegans rely on, such as whole grains and starchy vegetables, a vegan keto diet can be followed with careful planning. Get calories from whole, unprocessed foods while avoiding highly processed vegan foods.

Exclude dairy, fish and add legumes, nuts and seeds, old grains, veggies plus cold pressed olive oil, coconut oil or cold pressed avocado oil (no seeds oils) and celtic salt with your water. PS- by the way Barbara is not advocating the Atkins diet as is. She recommends a vegan diet but if one has to have some meat and dairy to ensure it is of good sources

That thumbnail picture is impossible - 6 weeks? Maybe 60 weeks! Have been on a mostly unrefined foods/Keto diet now for about three months. Have lost about 45 pounds. I figure in 9 months I will have lost most all of the fat I have been carrying for the last thirty years. I really craved bread at first but I just realized I haven’t been eating it at all lately. It’s in my fridge, but no cravings for it or most of the things I ate all the time.

Not true! Tell that to people who have been carnivore for years and gotten rid of their arthritis and gout. My husband’s gout went away completely when he went keto and stopped eating junk. He eats mostly meat. In fact, it’s often the vegetables that are causing the problem. And plant protein is in NO WAY superior to animal protein! Animal protein is far more bioavailable.

@@teresamuriniti5026 It's the fact that she's misleading people with the picture she posts on the video. No one loses that much weight in six weeks--nor is it healthy--and if this is what she's leading people to believe, it's just wrong. This caused me to look up more about her and what I found was disturbing. Also, in another video it says she's a Dr., but this is doubtful. I would just be cautious about her videos overall.
