The system sounds really great. The sub is balanced for the sound, I don't think you want more. I just think in terms of my studio set up with sub, you want the sub to mix right and it is quite nice in this system. I was really impressed by the soundstage in it. I'm just used to speaker systems with all the speakers down low in the doors and it just doesn't produce any kind of sound stage. This system really creates a nice soundstage around you in which you can really hear the placement of instruments. I'm not a car audio connoisseur but I do have a really nice monitor system with a sub in a great room acoustically so I know how things are supposed to sound. This system really does produce a nice experience even on the highway. I wish I could compare to other systems and the stock system, but I'm pretty sure the upgrade is well worth it.
Of course aftermarket speakers are going to sound better but people who don't want to mess with their new cars don't care for aftermarket systems. BTW literally any car in existence can't compete with aftermarket systems.@@jean-davidmerette7999
Hi, congrats for your nice videos and for reviewing the audio in cars. Would you say that this one is better than the BOSE in the new civic? I remember you had given to civic a 7 to 7.5 (George)
CX-5 with Bose all the way. Mids and highs are better, but Mazda Bose just hits different. Though, if you could sacrifice space, look at the CX-30 with Bose. Those hit different for a stock system.
@@DailyMotorSound thank you for the reply. I was in between RAV4 and Cx5 for a while until I saw ur CX5 video last months. Now I have ordered a cx5 which will arrive next week. This comment reassured my decision. Cheers
@@Nicolas2009Best Couldn't be happier, you are getting more "luxury car" for what you pay for, compare to all other competitors. Speaker is truly the best in the price range Only downsides with my Turbo CX5 is that 10L/100km fuel usage, and center screen rattle over bumpy roads
The Rav4 has an overall better system, it has a higher wattage output, more speakers, better sound quality from the ride and acoustic treatment. The best part is the sub is placed in the sidewall and there are no barriers in between you and all the speakers.
Hi, I'm looking to purchase a car this week and I watched your video on Hyundai Tucson 2022/23 Hybrid Bose speakers and I am currently comparing that to this Rav4's JBL speakers. How would you compare these? Which is "better"? Thanks!
It is 9 speaker system, not 11. It doesn't sound too bad but the midtones are muddy. Basically you are getting component system. 2 tweeters per side upfront. 4 speakers in the doors and a sub. 2 from door speakers are also subs. 2 backdoor speakers are subs but better quality. There is something in them in the center but I have no idea what it is. They sound better than the front door speakers. The worst one is the main sub. Too much distortions. I am replacing 6 of them right now and if I find how to get to the main sub I will probably replace that one too.
Replaced the sub. Replaced 4 door speakers with Rockford P1675 and the Sub with Rockford P3SD4. Made a huge difference. No more dull sound and hardly any more distortion coming from the sub. JBL amp is good actually but the speakers mostly paper with a very small magnet are junk.
that JBL system you pay 2000 $ and sound same....you are not soundproofed and the whole car vibrates... I at suzuki swace installed JBL speakers with a subwoofer in the back, and they sound 100 times better. and it cost me $500 with door speakers and twiters. + we soundproofed the doors and the door frames.. what is missing in this rav4 ruclips.net/user/shortsXh9FULEceCA
This system is a bad option for any car (Toyota or another). Is similar to Bose (horrible sound). Open yours ears and use a DSP Helix or Mosconi, Focal Speakers or JL C2, and JL amplifier for REAL Sound Quality.
You don't know anything about audio quality from what I see, or about processors, or interface, or frequency purification, you don't know how to differentiate between FLAC, WAV, AIFF, you don't know what a DSP does, or what integration is, or differentiate between HQ and HiRes, in a nutshell they sell you any horn and you believe it. Ask who is the owner of JBL, Harman and you get many surprises because its qualities years ago stopped being premium to be popular…

I have old system without JBL in toyota rav4 hybrid and its already good but this one is kicking buttocks
I am getting mine soon. Excited :)
There's a separate setting for the sub. It's under the general settings tab.
How does it compare to the lower trim level of rav 4 that has the 6 speakers?
Unsure, haven't tested :/
Tried both (XLE 2020 and TRD 2022). The JBL is a massive upgrade but it's still really bad compared to an aftermarket audio system.
@@jean-davidmerette7999that's what I was afraid of. I thought it would be on par with an aftermarket sound system.

I went with non jbl, add kicker key 200.4 and replace with audison speakers, sound amazing

Thanks! Pretty comparable, but I'd give the Bose a slight edge. But it's close enough to be personal preference.
Which bass kicks better Rav4 or CX-5?
Cause I am personally a basshead 😅, I dont mind much of mids and highs.

I have both cars and the jbl is louder and hits harder with the base. The Bose might sound better though.
@@thetechlibrarianIt's bass.
@@kennymccormick8295 really I had no idea
The Mazda CX-5 Bose is hands down much better than the Toyota systems. The bass is amazing and tight, takes a lot to distort it. Lots of headroom.
Excellent video. How does this compare to the Lexus Mark Livingston?
The ML system will blow this off the planet. That’s a actual hi-fi system.

Hi how does it compare with Bose on CX5. I noticed that you have given a borderline A to cx5 before. Does cx5 still holds an A comparing to this JBL
CX-5 Bose is better.

The speakers on rav4's are like made for country music only 😂
To those who have both listened to the Rav4 and the camry JBL sound systems, which one do you think is the best? What do you think Charlie?

I would say the RAV4 is a bit stronger in my personal preference. Good luck!
What is better Bose in new 2023 hybrid crv hybrid sport touring or jbl in limited 2023 rav4? Thanks
How does this compare to the 576 watt Harmon Kardon system in tbe Subaru Forester?
I love the musics you play !
Do you know how this might compare to a Mazda 3 Bose ?
Thought these sounded very good! Better than the Kia premium spakers in the Niro.
Do you prefer the crv with the new 12 speaker bose or the Rav 4 JBL?
Pretty comparable. Maybe slight edge to the RAV. But I much prefer the infotainment on the Honda, so I'd go with that.
