Of all systems, the 68k has the biggest library of shmups. It has even some more than the PC Engine/TG16 to offer. It's just amazing, they're barely countable. Does anybody know the exact number of existing shmup titles on 68k?
Yes, because it's "just" a port on less powerful hardware. The Genesis version lacks one layer of parallax scrolling, it has less colors and sprites on screen and the resolution is lower (I think it is). Some details, like the intro sequence f.e., is also missing. But both versions play good and are really enjoyable.

veryherd設定は敵弾の発狂地獄絵図、
メガドライブに粗末な移植、中途半端な移植の失敗例が有るからサターン版で最終作サンダーフォースⅤ意地を魅せました。黒歴史のギャルズクラブ時代、X68版のサンダーフォースⅡは本当に神作品だった。
