I made this T-shirt over the weekend it’s adorable. I did a white T-shirt with black Smart Iron Vinyl for the design. When I uploaded the file it would not allow me to ungroup as you did. So I got creative with the contour tool and was able to separate the bear from the words. Necessity is indeed the mother of invention! I was able to separate them that way and size them. It worked the same as your method just not quite as slick and quick! I have no idea why design space would not allow me to ungroup the design. But all‘s well that ends well it worked and I love the shirt! Thanks again for yet another amazing video I’m so glad I found your channel on RUclips! 😊
I have a SAD happy lamp and I use it as a brightpad especially for white htv. I could go cross eyed trying to see 😂 I wish they'd do like a dark or tint so you can see a bit better. Love this design!!
I did a really cute Scandinavian rainbow design on a navy shirt recently using the white smart iron on. Love the super contrast. Looks really cool with my vintage denim jacket 💕
The shirt came out great! It's so cute! I have 2 shirts to make for my husband and I so will definitely try it on the joy! But was thinking that maybe for his shirt since he's a larger size I should do it on my silhouette machine instead! Hopefully will upgrade to a Cricut maker one of these days! Thanks for sharing Bethany!
Do you have a tutorials on how to use the Cricut joy for putting words on a shirt not going straight across the back but kind of in an arch ?? I have watched SO many other people's "How to" tutorials and you are the ONLY one that has ever been STEP BY STEP EVERY step of the way. everyone else skips steps (its SO aggravating b/c I don't know how they got from step 1 to step 3 or 5)
Ironically, I have a tutorial coming up on making a shirt with a curved text in the next couple weeks so stay tuned! If you search for Cricut Joy hat on my channel, I think that tutorial might have a curved text but I can't remember. Enjoy!
Hi thanks for you lovely video. I have few questions. I used the same smart vinyl papers for my designs for my t-shirts I used the iron-on for printing. After few days I had to go out so when I ironed it with a normal iron but all the writing came off. Could you please advise me what I should do? 😊
Can i use regular permanente vinyl for the shirt? I couldn’t find iron on vinyl in white at the store i went to and was almost positive i saw that u can use regular vinyl also.
Thanks! Very helpful! One comment on a kind of unrelated topic, did you know that Fiskars makes a "duck edition" pair of scissors that are meant for cutting sticky surfaces? I hate it when my nice scissors get bugged up with adhesive - and these special green-handled scissors have been a "little" thing that makes a huge difference. Again, thanks for a fun and easy to follow video!
If you have a design with 3 colors can you still use this? Looking to make shirts with my company logo so I don't have to keep spending 150$ a year buying uniforms
I am a beginner on this, but i would love to buy a cricut to do shirts but not sure if the joy or a cricut maker but don’t want to spend much. What do you recommend? What would be the pro or con?
I love every video you make and can't wait for your next.... Do you ever do any things with a heat press? I bought one and could use help. not the cricut press
Hi!! This video is so helpful! Subscribed so I can continue to learn. Have a question!? I’d love to do something like you did to my cricut joy. Is that a design on the app? Thanks!
very pretty design love it :) thank you for sharing this :) question: weren't you supposed to turn tee over and press for 15 seconds on the back ?...after pressing design on the front...well whatever it came out lovely looks really nice well done :) happy creating, have a lovely day :) stay safe and well :) magz :)
Would this be the same method if I were to do a baby onesie or t shirt? Sorry for all the questions I just got a joy machine! And I have so many questions. 😩😩
Quick question, am I able to simply use an iron instead of the heat press machine? I have a joy but cannot afford the heat press machine yet. Thanks :)
You don’t, but I will say that I’ve found the household iron to be extremely difficult because it’s hard to determine the temperature needed for each material. My EasyPress was my best investment, hands down.
HELP!!! Is it easier to operate design space with a laptop over an tablet with my cricut joy? On my tablet everything has to be tiny to delete the warning.
Yes thanks because I’m struggling with making adult shirts lol but I’m okay with the kids shirts that’s not a problem. I don’t want tiny designs on big shirts that’s not cute 😩😩😩. I have svg I’m dying to use but don’t want to waste my vinyl. They joy will only let you do certain sizes . Next year when I have more space I’m getting the big one probably the maker but until then I have to finagle it 😊☺️
Hi!! Newbie here. Looking into these machines and the Joy has just the footprint I can handle. Question, do you have to buy the Easy Press or can you just use an iron? I'm guessing the temp indicator is maybe key?
You can use an iron, but I will say that I found it really difficult to be successful with it. I quickly bought a EasyPress 2 after I started crafting because the iron was too much of a headache for me. However, I know others have been successful with an iron. I just prefer the simplicity of setting my temperature on the EasyPress. Hope this helps!
Excellent Tutorial. Please consider doing more Cricuit Joy Tutorials. Bless you.
Be sure to check out my Cricut Joy playlist because I have a huge amount of tutorials. :)
I love that design, so adorable. I've actually made 2 shirts for Father's Day using my Joy, and yes I'm addicted to it.
Oh yay! That’s wonderful!!
COULD NOT HAVE FIGURED THIS OUT WITHOUT YOU!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Love that bear! So cute with all the floral and vines.
Thanks!
Thank you so much, Melodie! That is so kind!
Ooh I’m excited! I wanna make some funny workout shirts for myself lol
Wanting to do a T-shirt business for extra money, this helped me out alot on whether to purchase a Joy or not, thank you!!!

Thank u so much i just ordered a cricut joy bundle im so excited to receive it an make so much stuff 😊. It’s on sale right now.
Good job explaining the process. This is my first video to learn how to use the machine. I feel so confident now!
I don't have a cricut joy yet but hoping to get 1 soon , your t-shirt turned out good.
God bless you and your family..

This definitely helped out On if I should purchase this mini joy, I’ve been eyeing it on Amazon for the longest and I wasn’t sure
Great video, I thought this could be done but, I don’t have the experience in design space to know how to ungroup and do this. Thanks for this video.

Thank you for doing this video. I have been trying to figure out how to do a shirt with the joy
looks amazing !!!
I have a question, how many washes does it take for the design to come off ? Thank you for sharing this video ! Now I want to get the Cricut Joy :)

How fun! I think t-shirt making is so much fun! Yes, sometimes a bigger machine really makes it easier!

What size easy press mat do you us??love your channel!!!!
Would love this design with a papa bear, baby bear, sister bear.
Ty for the nice explaining. May I aske what app you use to film this, and also to film you're tel screen? Ty
This was a really cute project. Thank you 😊
You dont need a sheet paper to cover design before pressing? Really cute!!!!!
Nope! But you can use one if you’d like!
Just wondering where you purchased the lovely design
So cute! I'm a newbie and hooked. Still learning... I definitely want to make. Thank you🐶
You’re so welcome! Glad you enjoyed this and happy to have you here!
Can i use regular permanente vinyl for the shirt? I couldn’t find iron on vinyl in white at the store i went to and was almost positive i saw that u can use regular vinyl also.
Can you make this without the heat press?
So beautiful 😍... thanks
Thank you!
Hey just a quick question, did you personalize your cricut using your cricut? That is the absolute cutest thing ever lol
Where did you get the lovely design
I love this video so much and love what you have done with your joy machine! Do you have a tutorial on how you did this at all pretty please? 💗
Yes I do!
Do you have to be a member to purchase from Design Bundles?
This turned out cute !
I asked for one for Christmas.. but I wasn’t such which one to get.. beginner.. but really want to make shirts. Would the Joy be the best?
Do i need an easy press to make this?
Wow!!🤩🤩🤩
Thanks! Very helpful! One comment on a kind of unrelated topic, did you know that Fiskars makes a "duck edition" pair of scissors that are meant for cutting sticky surfaces? Wondering how do they hold up when washed??
How did you do your decal for decorating your Cricut joy? I’m new to the Cricut world and starting out with the joy
Could any heat press be used with the circut joy
Very beautiful design. But is it washable?
Yes I wash and dry like normal, no issues
Can you use any tshirts for it ?? Or is it has to be some special material ?
If you have a design with 3 colors can you still use this? Looking to make shirts with my company logo so I don't have to keep spending 150$ a year buying uniforms

Hi! Do you think using cricut joy for shirts would still be possible even if I'd just use the mini heat press? Thanks a lot! :)
I love every video you make and can't wait for your next....
Do you ever do any things with a heat press? I bought one and could use help. not the cricut press
Thank you, Suzie! No, I only use the Cricut EasyPress because it works so well for how I craft and personally don't see a need to get a heat press.
Good Morning. I was wondering where you buy your lint rollers. I haven't seen any like that in Canada
The lint roller in this video was just a basic one from the grocery store, but I can't remember the brand!
If I don't have iron press, can I use a regular iron?
Wowowowo!!
What software do you use?
Thank you so much
You’re so welcome!
Hi!! This video is so helpful! Subscribed so I can continue to learn. Have a question!? I’d love to do something like you did to my cricut joy. Is that a design on the app? Thanks!
She has a video on how she decorated her Cricut joy 🤗
Can you used iron? Or have to be hot push on 🤔
Can I use my own personal design ?
Can you use a normal iron to do this? Finding all your videos incredibly helpful! Xxx
You can, though I haven’t had success with it because it’s hard to determine the right temp. :)
Can you show the brand of transfer tape?
You actually don’t use a transfer tape with iron on, what you see is the build in carrier sheet!
can you use any heat press.. or does it have to be a cricut one??
Any! :)
thanks for sharing this! it's super cute! where did you get the floral crafting mat??
If you search Bethadilly Craft Mat on RUclips, you will find the tutorial for my mat :)
Can you use custom images
very pretty design love it :) thank you for sharing this :)
question: weren't you supposed to turn tee over and press for 15 seconds on the back ?...after pressing design on the front...well whatever it came out lovely looks really nice well done :)
happy creating, have a lovely day :)
stay safe and well :)
magz :)
Yes, I actually both talk and demonstrate flipping and pressing the back of the t-shirt in this tutorial around the 18 minute mark.
@@Bethadilly my apologies, I should of paid more attention lol....
great job enjoyed your tutorial thank you :)
Great project , is the design machine washable ?
Yes!
Where I can buy the Iron protector sheet?
How do you take the shiny stuff off I tried the same tool and it’s so hard!!
Would this be the same method if I were to do a baby onesie or t shirt? Sorry for all the questions I just got a joy machine! And I have so many questions. 😩😩
Yes, you would use the same method and just size your design accordingly!
Quick question, am I able to simply use an iron instead of the heat press machine? I have a joy but cannot afford the heat press machine yet. Thanks :)
You can. I personally have never had success with a household iron, but know many other have.
Do you ever use tshirts from Hobby Lobby
Hi! Question, do you have to use/buy a press machine in order to use iron on vinyl?
You don’t, but I will say that I’ve found the household iron to be extremely difficult because it’s hard to determine the temperature needed for each material. My EasyPress was my best investment, hands down.
