  • One Meal a Day, #OMAD has so many benefits. But how do you get started? Well, first, you go #carnivore because that is the most important nutritional change you can possibly make.
Once you’re carnivore, then eat however many meals you normally eat. If that’s the standard American, 3 meals and 3 snacks, then fine. Do that.
Then you want to get yourself to two meals and a snack. Then cut the snack. Then one meal + 1 snack. Then cut the snack. Boom you’re now a carnivore OMAD and you’re now a super saiyan.Simple.
Go OMAD Carnivore, become the super Saiyan.

I love eating my one meal a day at dinner time. It not only works for me physically- because I always prefer to workout in a fasted state in the morning- but socially. I can eat dinner with my family when they are all home and eating too. I can go out to dinner with my husband for a special occasion or for dinner meetings if necessary. Then I get in my pjs, read or Netflix and chill!

I (personally) feel like eating is a reward to a productive day. I feel weird eating 3 meals a day while having a work day. It slows me down, I feel sluggish, I feel distracted. When I work all day, get everything I needed to done, then have a heavy meal late at night, I feel like a king. By the morning, I am almost all done digesting and I am ready to attack the next day. Your ghrelin hormone becomes a thing of the past. You could literally choose to or not to continue the fast because your body is so adjusted. Humans would go weeks without food then finally feast when they hit a jackpot of game/convenient garden of produce/fish in a body of water. I think 3 meals a day is BS and unnecessary as modern people who only MAYBE get their metabolism kicked up by an hour of working out. Fasting fights diabetes, possibly cancer cells, it helps your body process and recycle dead cells. Very underrated tool.

@Wayne Ford I don't treat myself with food.. I eat when necessary and most people don't realize how dense and how often they stuff their faces throughout the day and can't figure out why they can't trim down. If 3 meals or 5 or 10 works for you, so be it. I find 1 large meal is beneficial to me and my body type.. It also helps me stay focused and not feel like trash because I bloat easily. Once I am settled in and everything is taken care of, then I'll eat. Nothing wrong with that Wayne.

Day 2. I went to Walmart to pick up a tube of crappy hamburger me. Every single carb in that store was calling out to me. Staring at the jars of olives and pickles with all but drool, I realized I was low on electrolytes. I could have literally popped open the jar and drank the juice. I asked my body exactly how did it think that cupcakes would solve my electrolyte issue?
When I got to the self checkout station and was surrounded by snacks and sweets, the room seemed to start spinning. I made it home and cracked open my new bottle of Himalayan salt, pour some in my hand and licked it. Down some water. Problem solved. No cupcake was harmed in this adventure.

@@thegamingmobster2768 It's not about food in the system, it's about food in the stomach itself. Unless that "feast" lasts... like 6 hours and consists of very slow eating and thorough chewing. People with acid reflux (such as myself) usually get flare ups when their stomach is filled up with too much food. For many, that "too much" is even the amount you'd consume in the course of one meal if you ate 3 meals a day. Meaning a need to eat smaller meals but more frequently. And the recommendation to eat a huge meal before bed would end up causing catastrophic results. Full stomach, horizontal position, less saliva production is a deathly combo for most people who have chronic acid reflux.

For example I only I had 1 bite of the cranberry loaf my friend brought over instead of half the loaf like I would have had even a week ago. I figure just get better at it everyday and have the ultimate goal of OMAD carnivore and I’ll get there a little at a time.

After going carnivore, I now wake up at 5:00am without an alarm. I eat a ribeye and three eggs before 6:00am. I am fully fueled for the day. I don’t eat again until the next morning. Day 18 carnivore diet for SIBO, leaky gut, and histamine intolerance. Main symptoms were rashes and bloating.
Bloating was completely gone in a few days. Rashes got worse than ever for about 10 days (I suspect the die-off, detox symptoms). I started taking activated charcoal and iodine to help ease symptoms, which worked. Rashes are improving but not gone. Something that works for me is a steaming hot bath with a few cups of apple cider vinegar and Epson salt. Seems to help heal the older rashes faster and reduces inflammation in the fresh ones.
Probably going to do carnivore for life. Before the goal was to fix myself so I could eat healthy foods (fruits and vegetables I thought), but if the diet that fixes me is also the one that makes me healthiest, I'm already where I want to be. I'm not struggling at all eating a 9 oz rib eye with ghee spread on top and 4 eggs cooked in ghee twice a day with beef liver or heart replacing a rib eye a few times a week. (Only eat at around noon and at 6) To me it just makes sense to be on any version of the diet that produces ketones, that must be the natural thing for us. Humans need the high octane fuel!
    Convenience tip for carnivores:
A small 30 dollar George Foreman grill from Amazon is perfect for one person doing carnivore. Preheat and in 5-6 minutes you have a perfectly cooked rare rib eye without needing any butter or oil to cook in (and avoid the mess!). Cleans in 20 seconds with a wet rag. I just add the extra fat, ghee in my case, directly to the rib eye when it's on the plate.
I know my diet sounds expensive, but when that is literally all I eat in a day, I am definitely saving money. If ghee was expensive, I'd just be using beef tallow instead.

Folks, I hate to break it to you, but eating a large meal before going to bed is never a good idea for many proven reasons. Consuming a large meal so close to sleeping can affect digestion and sleep quality.
However, eating a nutrient dense snack or small meal for some has been found to have benefits. I'm not sure why he would suggest a big meal before going to sleep is a good thing for all? My guess is maybe it seems good to him. Just because a person is a doctor does not mean they are such an expert. You can just blindly take their word on health matters. After all, isn't that what got so many of us in this predicament to begin with? He has lots of great advice and suggestions, but on this, I think he slightly missed the mark.

I felt better on OMAD days, so I decided to do OMAD every day! I'm sure an occasional 2MAD may pop up in the future, but I am now really enjoying the opportunity to feast once per day! I hope this encourages others to try OMAD. It's not hard, if you use the OMAD to feast, as Dr. Kiltz is promoting!

Absolutely agree but would like to know why so many people say we can only absorb up to 25-40g of protein from any one meal?
I've never believed this cos large bodybuilders and wrestlers eat whole chickens at a time and many people do real well on OMAD.. I can understand if you're a bodybuilding fanatic you might want to have protein spread throughout the day but for 99% of us OMAD seems to work just fine.
I figure maybe it should be 25-40g /hr rather than per meal!
Any advice on how getting say 160g of protein in one meal gets fully utilised by the body and is as good as spreading it over 3 meals?
