    Heyy! Thank you so much for making this video! Just clearing out that what we mean with FRFR IRs is that these Reflex IRs have the flattest response and fullest range we can get out of traditional guitar speakers. These speaker designs themselves are obviously not FRFR. So this is not about making someone's FRFR speakers sound like traditional guitar cabinets - just pointing this out in case someone gets the wrong idea. 😉

      This is a very important statement, thanks for clarifying - I was wondering this as well based on Mikkos video, but seem that I totally got the use and meaning of the word FRFR in this context wrong. I guess it's a very unlucky catchphrase/buzzword to use, since the connotation on what FRFR means is so clear and predetermined.
      Sorry for getting this wrong, but glad you're active here to correct this!

      @@rudycastillo6369 Absolutely! You will be able to use this with any plugin, with any IR loader you wish, just like with a regular IR Pack.

      @@PippPriss Our official terms for the matter is "Fuller Range, Flatter response" - it has extended bass over a 4x12, and flattens out some of the dips and humps

      @@KaiDown Haha, that was perfect ground to get stupid me last night extremely confused, now I am spitting out false information in the video 😀But I wanted to get the video out as quickly as possible. Hope that does not diminish anything about my showcasing on the IRs, at least we got my misunderstanding here in the comment section well documented. ;-)

    Using these Reflex IR's on our new album! They slay in my opinion 🤘

      I think they are really good, even though I like the rawness of "regular captures" - but they blend in very well in the mix, as my demonstration showed.

    Cool idea to use automation to swap the IRs! Nice showcasing

    Still need to give these a proper go and Zilla cabs are amazing indeed. My RedGiant Pack is from a fat baby cab. Very flat even freq response from the Red Back celestion in there.

      Damn, loved that pack, especially to blend in stuff! Zilla really seems to do high quality stuff, would love to check one out for real.

    So are these good for live use sent to FOH from Captor X? Or just best for plugins?

    • @PippPriss
      @PippPriss  2 месяца назад

      These are good for all applications - plugins, mixing, using in and IR loader for live use. There are no specifics which exclude them from using live to FoH - in fact, the smoothed out frequency response will perhaps make sure that you get a more consistent and smoothed out tone from venue to venue :-)

    Is it possible that the DV77 has been spec'd to fit perfectly into the Slipknot drumset sound? I tried DV77 irs which came free with my Audio Assault purchases. The DV77 never really satisfied me in the context with my drum sound

      Very much possible, since these are the signature loudspeakers of Mick Thomspn from Slipknot. They are their own animal, and not completely my cup of tea, but they certainly are good speakers in the context of music like Slipknots' music.
