Enlightening chat & I enjoyed their contrasting perspectives. We have to normalise ppl airing their opinions without tagging it "hate"; this came out as clean & unambiguous as it could, no confusion whatsoever.

There are so many who can say they were the first. But the great thing is Afrobeats is now global and it's hear to stay.

Bad guy Toba is more comprehensive (extensive) in his talking. That other guy is abit prideful & doesn’t really talk about his history (story) behind what he did for the people who don’t know him

I feel what MikeLive was trying to say is: When someone helps you, you owe them respect of someone who believed in you when others wouldn't, and you have to hold them in higher level than normal.

Both sides have presented valid points , and I get where MikeL is coming from, even if he seems liked his presented his points from a place of frustration. And yes in this UK everything is Black against White or vice versa - Well done guys

This mike guy is not being true to himself. just understand. If you dont have the resources to host burnaboy why would you be annoyed he is going to someone with better resources.
You should be greatful and even happy that he grew through you man.

While I dont agree with most thing the guy in that big hat is saying, I feel his partner is very annoying. You can just see that he is trying to protect his relationship with the artist Burna. He cant seem to even see where his buddy is coming from, that guy is making some point whether good or bad, LET HIM!. see his POV, then counter but he just kept interrupting and trying to protect his relationship. If you are not gonna let all views, be aired unfiltered without antagonizing each other then just leave this podcast biz alone. So annoying.

White people didn't get there overnight until you start to work collectively and help your community that would never happen. I understand Toba but we need to be selfless and think long term rather than presently.

I hate when an interview don't listen. Toba hears but don't listen. He keeps missing the point every single time. If you will not carefully listen to the point your guest is making, you might as well close the podcast.

These two are so funny the way they are trying to take glory for the effort of millions of Nigerians who have been listening to Afrobeats even when the world did not believe in afrobeats, the people with little money who saved the money to travel to UK to present what has been cooking in Nigeria, just because you own a club and radio station, and classed as a promoter you wanna take the glory from the sleepless producers and songwriters and musicians in Nigeria to say you are the first person to make afrobeats in west, do you know how many days of sleepless night they put in studio to make what is pleasant to hear, how many criticisms they got from Nigerians to get a good music. All these club owners and radio presenters and DJ’s Abeg make una rest. If those songs no sweet or acceptable to the rest of the world una for won association with it. Now non of you are claiming Hiplife or highlife. Why people dey like associate with success? Now you talking about Burna Boy, when he was traveling abroad begging some countries to allow him at least perform free in the countries where were you, when he was performing with empty seats and countries where were you, please leave those musicians alone. You used Nigerian musicians to make money in your clubs and radio stations now you wanna claim how you make afrobeats popular in west.

You my brother are an ignorant fool. If it wasn't for the cats here in the UK afro beat would have been just another statistic in the world beats genre.
It's not about listening to it it's about making it go global. Well let's see how it fares in a couple of years from now if it will stay like Jazz, R&B and the likes. Let's wait and see.

So I don’t know mike el,I only follow bad guy toba, but if I was mike el, I’ll limit the way I roll with that guy,he doesn’t support anything he says at all, even me as a stranger I could understand what mike el was saying but it’s like toba doesn’t care cos he’s not the one in mike el shoes and is comfortable with what he is getting or probably thinks he’s better, I don’t even know how this came together, honestly felt like an outright attack on mike el and everything he stands for, mike el don’t use your emotions and fast tho, acts slow but be away if those who don’t blow your trumpets that will rather tell the world how when you hosted nikki it was you that *ucked up

for you to put don jazzy in that conversation is extremely disrespectful to the afrobeats and the artists out now. you can say hes the best manager or runs the best label, but to say hes one of the best artists is blasphemy

youre a promoter so you judging the greatest of musicians on the promo work they've done and the people they've put on lol, thats just stupid. Its not their job to put guys on, thats yours as a promoter or manager or record label. if you use your sense, you'd understand that the greatness of a musician is based on the quality of music and the moments they've created from their music

Burna Boy is way too Overrated! There are great artists better than him Out there, who don’t even get recognition.
