I remember when this was posted, at least 10 years before I’m writing this. I watched then with such vibrant glimmers of creativity, and it’s been hard to see live performance be delivered as properly as this since. Beirut and this band made more sense to me after seeing these films. Xo

I first watched this when I was 15 years old, and still in secondary school. I cannot believe it is now 15 years later, and still, their music is seared into my mind. And in particular this specific scene posted by blogotheque. I had to search it out :D
I cant describe how amazing this is. I get goosebumps every time I watch this. They are incredible!

Hearing "Wake Up" live needs to be on everyone's concert bucket list. It's incredible to be dancing with 5,000 other people at the breakdown.

Just so you know steve, I'm a classically trained musician with 10 years of music under my belt, and sure I know they don't sing particularly in tune all the time, but thats what makes it have emotion. I think the flaws in this performance are what make it beautiful.

it's really cool how one of the band incorporated that magazine into Neon Bible. He flopped it a few times, but it really worked after he got it down.
Saw them this April on my birthday in Kansas City..they are so amazing live. One of the best live bands out there haha. They are fantastic..

Totally. Sometimes it's the smallest things that let you peak into a person. That felt like one of those times. Nonetheless, they make up for it with an amazing performance!

The Wake up performance reminds me a bit of U2 on the Unforgettable Fire Tour. Not the music necessarily, but rather that feeling you get...Hard to describe, but absolutely beautiful.
