This video was my introduction to La Blogotheque, 2 days after it was released. Crazy to find it has been 14 years.

Always been a favourite track and then discovering this recording and thusly this channel is really special and spectacular.

They should do an all-out "Barbershop Quartet" version of this. This is the kind of stuff that proves a song. You take away all the ambient effects and strip the song down to it's core, and it still fucking rocks

I wouldn't care if someone criticized the video-- it's that your criticism doesn't make sense. The video is pretty cool because it's a very unique performance done a ceppella by a group that isn't a ceppella. If they don't sound as good as all of these awesome doo wop groups you make reference to-- it's probably because this is a nontraditional performance.

while i might sing an oasis song when drunk, that does not mean i could COME UP WITH THE QUALITY of an oasis song when drunk. what i am saying is - the music in this particular video - is like something me and my mates could make up on a drunken night. i'm not knocking their musical ability ... just that this is not as good as everyone thinks it is. people must realize that it doesn't take a musical genius to come up with this. Ed Droste seems SO humble. Like he's almost embarrassed. Weird. He's amazing. It took me a while to realize he was the main singer of the band. I shouldn't have dismissed Grizzly Bear so soon.
