Nice list, but would be helpful if you put the name of the TV on top of the graphic for each TV. Can't glance at the whole final ranking and see where things stand...unless an absolute expert on every model.
Definitely fair criticism lol I should’ve done this. Next time I will.
What about the TCL QM8? I didn’t see it on the list.
8:22 He ranked qm7 as B. I guess qm8 is one rank higher?
@kimsunku07 the qm8 he accidentally called it 7. B category
Still enjoying the Sony 77" A80J.✌️
I have had the S95C for 3 months now and not had any issues or drop outs whatsoever on PS5 and i game for several hours every day, absolutely love the TV after coming from LG OLED’s.
Well I would hope so. The S95C is a top-tier TV. Expensive too.
Sorry i only put my comment as the gent who’s video it is said about the reported drop outs (which i personally was worried about before buying) and that if your a gamer you may want to look at another TV,I was only sharing my experience of zero issues,I will delete my comment later enjoy the rest of your week 👍
@@Pixelnme77 I think he said the drop-outs were happening when using the One Connect Box.
@@TheCyberMantis The One Connect Box is what is what i am using there are no HDMI’s on the TV itself but as i say it’s been fine for me 👍
@@Pixelnme77 I wonder if the problem is not even related to the TV? What if the problem is related to the internet connection?
I absolutely loved this ranking!
Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve been wanting to do something like this for awhile.
@@TechWithKG You should consider doing other rankings based on price points, do a tier ranking at a given size for tvs under 1k, then 1500, then 2k, on up. Do that and some of the hisense/tcl models will be at/near the top at a given price point. For people without infinite expense, that list would be useful.
Not a bad suggestion. Thank you for the feedback @@ubuu7
@@TechWithKG isn’t the Samsung S90C on pair with the Sony a80l and the LG c3?
Thanks. Now I have a reference when I walk through Costco & Best Buy.
What tier would you place the TCL C845 in?
I just purchased the 77 inch Sony A95L a few weeks back... and I'm not exaggerating when I say that this truly is the most amazing television I've ever had the pleasure of casting my gaze upon. I never really understood what they meant by 'immersion' until I saw my first HDR film on this puppy. Honestly, the only critique I have of this model is that it practically bankrupted me!
Daaaang. Thanks for sharing the experience. I'm on the fence and can almost see into the future and say, I feel the same way.
@@jordanbfromsk5191 Yeah, and the funny thing is that I never thought I'd be that blown away when I first got it, given that my previous TV wasn't exactly junk. My previous set was the Sony A90JU ... the difference between WOLED and QD-OLED is like night and day (especially regarding brightness). That being said, the only reason I gave up my previous TV was due to burn in from (of all things) the RUclips progress bar. Fingers crossed that it doesn't happen on this one!!!
Tcl Qm7 or sony x90l
KG why you not put QN95C on the list?
Really like the graphics on this video. I had fomo for the hisense u8k, but over it. Great video KG.
Hicense qd6N where would you put it ?
Fair assessment, pretty much agree with everything. Didn't mention S89C but everyone knows this is BB exclusive and basically the S90C.
As stated in the intro these were using all 65" TVs available to purchase now, that's why no S89C specifically.
@@TechWithKG My bad I did watch the whole video but forgot these were all 65" panels.
What sale price would you consider a good value for the 98” Samsung Q80C? Looking to purchase a 98-100”. How does the Samsung compare to the TCLs and Hisense 100s?
It compares favorably to 98” available at lower prices with it being FALD. I can’t see it going much lower since Hisense FALD can’t stay in stock at 3k, I’d imagine maybe it could drop another $1,000.
Where would you put the new Bravia TVs
Bravia 8 A tier Bravia 9 A tier Bravia 7 B tier
@@TechWithKG thank you man
Really helpful. Matches my list except I rated the QM8 (you didn’t mention) and U8 higher. Reinforces my plan to get the QN90C
I ranked the QM8 right after I ranked U8K I just slipped up and called it the QM7 in the video lol
Just bought the TLC Q7 65inch great budget TV I’m pretty impressed with it
What's the best overall for movies and gaming ina proce range of 900 usd or below
Where would you put the Sony x90k and Samsung qn90c 50/43 in?
Thanks for the great list! What about LG B4, what tier will you rank it ? I'm interested in buying one, its discounted price is below 1000$ for the 55"" model, where i live.
What about tcl s5?
What’s the most inexpensive model in A-C tier?
I bought the 2024 TCL QM7 and am struggling with light reflection from windows behind me in my living room. The 2024 Hisense U8 is going for $200 more than what I bough the QM7 for. Will the U8 be significantly better in this situation? Is it worth the hassle of the exchange?
A TCL Q8, QM8, Hisense U8H or U8K (2023 unit) will solve your concerns
S90D not on the list?
I agree with everything except the B3, I think it should have been right up there with the U8K because the X90L easily beats the others when it comes to image yet the others still get to be up there with it due to them having better contrast, and back lighting tech
I saw a lot of TV models comparison videos and it's very nice BUT it only compare with 4k HDR videos or pictures!! and that is not what 80% of TV users will watch on daily bases, most of us will watch streaming services that use full HD or 720P and if you go to Netflix to watch the ultra HD (4K) then you need to pay 22$ a month which some of us will not do, if youtubers do a real life daily bases use comparison then no one will beat the Sony!! the XR processer from the x90l and above is a monster processer when it comes to upscaling, it will make 720p and full HD look like 4K!! wish youtubers do more videos in term of real life TV use and which one you will enjoy and really worth it base on that.
p.s. Don't think when I am referring to Sony I mean the A95l, no I am talking about the X90l which you can get the 55 inch for like 900$ and the refurbished for way less and you still going to get the best TV upscaling processor in the market.
I have seen the Samsung S90c, S95c and the G3, as well as the A95L. All of them have great upscaling and the difference is WAY overblown compared to the price increase you have to deal with.
You're willing to pay for the A95L but are too cheap to upgrade to the full Netflix plan? Are you kidding me?
Just add 2 other slots and share the costs, which brings the monthly cost down to around 12$ each. Cmon.
The only real reason to buy the Sony is the warranty and the Sound.
The A95L works on its own and you don't have to invest in any sound upgrades and still get a great viewing experience.
Neither the Samsungs, nor the G3 will be able to provide that.
But even if you invest in a good soundbar all 3 of them are still cheaper.
In the end you won't be drawn to the perfect picture quality. You will be drawn to the bigger picture.
The sony top tv is $1700 more then samsung s90c which is comparable in picture and that tv is no where near $1700 better its I'd pay $500 more but not $1700 the processing for older content is good but no one should buy a flagship tv if they are only going stream I only use a flagship for a dedicated setup anyone buying a flagship tv shouldn't even worry about tv sound anyways they should have an option of having no speakers to save the consumers money because you already know a sound bar a dedicated system is going be attached to that tv
So are you only watching Netflix!? I believe not! second who said I will buy an oled that cost over 2K !? I bought 65inch X90l for less than 1K brand new with 12 months 0 interest on the superball weekend after trying both the Samsung 85c and the Hisense U8, and non of them could beat the X90l, and believe or not I set 45 min in the store comparing it with mini Led TVs from Sony and Samsung and did not find the deference that justify the extra 700$+ price. @@jdx4174
I went with the X90l, I got 65 in for 997$, I spent over 45 min in the sore and could not find that difference that will make me pay 700$+ more to buy Samsung or even mini Led from Sony, the X90l's 4 speakers are amazing!! better than my friend's LG C3, yes the contrast of the LG is infinite but it felt dim to me also I have to windows that will face the TV so any OLED will not work with me.@@Sc2God724

I wish we could do a s89c vs s90c comparison. Some peeps are now saying there us a difference in picture quality. Kinda has me concerend.
Unless you're doing a side by side comparison you'll be fine with either even if there is difference
It literally says QCQS90 in the service menu under version. Any differences people are noticing are down to varying OOTB factory calibrations/LUT. Samsung tends to have more a variance in OOTB white point and color/gamma tracking.
Yeah don’t overthink this…
It’s the same tv I wouldn’t think too much about it.
Im in love with 65 QD-OLEDs, but I need dedicated 48 for my PC currently, and I think there is no QD-OLEDs in size of 48, or at least I haven't seen one yet. What is the best 48 to use as a monitor?
Searching for a 65-75inch TV. Replacing a 10y/o Samsung 48inch. On a budget of $1200. Been looking at Sony X90L or Hisense U7/U8. Thoughts/suggestions?
Go for Sony, no doubt.
How about sony X85L, in C or D category?
D category
It would be great to add TV names in the description or in the movie on the timeline. I found it a little difficult to make notes during the vid to choose mine.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree I should find a way to label these so its easier to follow.
65" A95L or 77" A80L that is the question. great video. that was a fun watch
Thanks, personally I’d always go 77” A tier TV over 65” S tier TV.
You’re out of your mind the X90L is one of the best TVs on the market right now now, It belongs in A or possibly S. It literally looks better than every TV from the competition. The only TV that looks better than it are Sony higher end models. It has it all brightness, clearness, motion, color, Dolby Vision, really good sound for TV and so much more.
You clearly haven’t seen this TV next to A and S tier models, X90L is cool but it’s not deserving of the top tier.
@@TechWithKG yes I have in fact I own multiple top-tier TVs.
KG, Great video and love how you just got to the point. You rank the S90C as a S tier based on 65-in model being QD OLED. I'm looking for a 83/85 in TV. Would you recommend the S90C at 83 in or the QN90C at 85 in?
83" s90c it's a w-oled panel,55,65 n 77 are qd-oled panels, much brighter n better panel
@@smoothsmooth5834 Yeah I get that and why the question. How does the 83" W-OLED panel compare to the 85" LED Panel and which one would you buy since they're fairly close in price.
As you are aware 83 S90C needs be evaluated the same way you would a 83 C3 because it is a w-OLED as well, and then from there it just comes down to what you value in your picture quality the most, I’ve done a few C OLED vs 90 series videos that I think would be very relevant to your decision give them a look hopefully they can help.
Please recommend
Sony 75x95l
Samsung 75qn95c
Thankyou
I have Sony X95l.The Samsung is a very good TV, but the Sony's processor provides sharper images for everything that needs to be scaled up to 4k and the difficult HDR scenes are so beautiful on the Sony. For me, the Sony X95L is the best all-rounder and, after QD-OLED and MLA OLED, the best for HDR films.
@@Nescio527 for the value the QN95C is a better Tv. Sony Tax is FONY
Same price?
Nice list KG. I pretty much agree with you selections and having all tv panel types (LG C2, Samsung S90C, mini led and plasma). I recently had the 85" QN900C and loved the pop and detail hower traded it in due to a back light bug where the local dimming would shut off ramdomly. I now have the 85" Hisense UX and am really happy with it, better local dimming control than the Samsung especially in space scenes, excellent black levels and bightness due to the 5,000 dimming zones and beleive it or not, better build quality with its aluminum frame, not to mention its very clear sound. I am returning the UX only because they are releasing a 98" version so I will have to wait several months for it to be available but imho, absolutely worth the wait (I need a large tv since I sit 11' away from my tv, good enough performance is ok for me in exchange for emersion).
What you mean by drop out on the s95c for gaming?
One connect box has had reports of dropouts. Get the S90C and that is taken care of of.
@@trewright1482 like not functioning boxes?
@@spartan_a1176 when you are playing games with high resolution/refresh you will get black screens. Avoid the one connect box for the 2023 TV (and most likely the 2024 tv) if you are going to do any gaming.

There’s been occasional reports of dropped signals while gaming with it due to the one connect box.
hey KG how are you ? I have a question I currently have a sony a80j 65” …. do you think samsung s90c or even LG c3 will make a significant difference or should I wait a few years more ? thank you so much in advance
I’d personally wait, s90c is a slight upgrade in some areas, c3 is a downgrade in most from your a80j on average
I'm looking for a 65" TV for my apartment. Would you recommend a U7 for 850$ after taxes brand new. Or a Samsung 90c used like new for 1415$ after taxes. I've got Oled screens on my phone and laptop and think they're great. My gaming pc is still mini led, and when at other people's house, honestly, I don't notice so much that it's distracting from the content.
If you can spring for the S90C I definitely recommend that one. The U7 is great and would probably satisfy you but the S90C is on another level compared to the U7. It’s hard to beat an OLED in picture quality especially QD OLED like s90c
@@TechWithKG I'll come off the extra cash and get the OLED. Thank you for your candor.
Price to preformance tv tierlists when, seems like this only lists them based on image quality and such
I think all tech listing shuld follow in the footsteps of gpu and cpu ranking. price to preformance is way more useful then preformance only ranking
Performance is essentially image processing, image quality, and panel technology in the TV space.
Great video! I know i might be niche, but I'd love for you or someone in the reviewer world to do a video comparison of the 85' QN900D vs the 83' LG G4. It'll be replacing my QN95B as my main living room TV. I'll wait for the prices to go down some on them but it looks like they'll be the exact same MSRP price. I like different things about each one, but I'm curious overall which you'd recommend.
When did Macy's start selling TVS?
Have S90C for almost year, 10+ everything, have 1 issue only as i have 2 monitors, and tv all connected with hdmi.
When i turn off tv one of monitors always turns off, but workaround is display fusion software, waiting for some firmware maybe they patch that issue.
So when i turn off tv one of monitors goes black, and when i turn it on monitor turn on aswell, have reddit post about it and everyone have this issue who have multiple monitor setup.
TCL qm8??
For how much the A95L costs, it should have 4 hdmi 2.1 ports
where is xl95L???
Hello and thanks for a job well done in comparing and ranking these TVs.
Meanwhile, I realised that you did not mention/rank any of the Philips TVs...🤷🏽
Is it deliberate? Are Philips TVs not good enough to be ranked in any of these categories or was it an omission?
Will/Can you recommend the Philips PML9009 or any of their 2024 series please?
Sorry I can't review Philips TVs as they don't carry them in the US where I live.
So I can get a Samsung S90C open box for $$1150, 65". Thoughts on that or going with TCL Q7 for $699. Really wanted to put some $ into sound bar such as Sonos, thoughts?
Thats a really good deal, its a huge upgrade in picture quality over something like the Q7 as for the sound its not bad I would look at a Sonos Beam if you want a good cheap sonos bar as long as your room isn't huge you might like that.
What about TCL C805? I wanted to buy S90C but Im scared of OLEDs.
Im having the same issue but the S90C is also 350 bucks more expensive so its a really tough sell for me tbh…
@@sungjin-woo3894 From all info i gathered, C805 screen quality is completly satisfying for mere mortals and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, but there are voices TCL is crap quality when it comes to software, bugs, glitches and so on.

They are all pretty similar and none of them are capable of good hdr so make sure to never use HDR for the best experience, in this range pick the best UI and deal for you.
@@TechWithKG thanks. What about 50? I just don’t like tcl n hisense picture quality
I am absolutely insecure. I'm looking for a new TV under 2000 and am hesitating between the samsung 77s90c ( I have the Hue lights and currently only Samsung has the integration). The alternative would be the TCL 98UHD870 LED. I just can't decide if a bigger and poorer picture is better than a smaller but better one.
When can you do the video for the A80L settings?

G3 or S90C
Great list. I appreciate the time you put into these.
One thing that would just clarify it a little more would be..... As you said with QD-OLED being the better technology, would you put the S90C over the G3?
Asking for a friend.
Thanks
#1 thing the G3 has going for it is the warranty.
For gaming yes S90C is better but for movies and tv it’s a toss up, I slightly favor the G3 for this personally just enjoyed it a tad bit more plus I love the extras you get with the g3 from a value stand point too.
@@TechWithKG thank you for the response, I appreciate it. Said in such a way that it reads as you would actually sound.
Also, you might have forgot the X95L which IMO would be in the S tier, but I can't say that as I've never actually experienced it first hand. Might I add I'm not a TV reviewer. 👍
@TechWithKG c4 is better then the s90c for both gameing and movies. Should get that.
Pepole say there isn't much difference but they increased the hz to 140 I think and the brightness by 30%
Qd-oled has horrible blacks and juiced colours, until they stop juicing and make the panel look true to real life colours then qd-oled is much worse then woled

@@TechWithKG I play videogames and I am afraid that the static images of videogames may cause burn. I don't really care about the box I mean it looks more premium but that's not important to me plus I don't have to deal with burn or dimming if I get the Hisense U8N or the TCL QM851. Gotta be honest those tvs looked awesome. Can't decide I don't want anything above 55 inch if I ever get anything beyond 55 inch it has to be 8K resolution.
Philips 8818/12 or TCL QLED 85C803? I need a Quick answer 🥲
I don’t want to spend more than $2,000 and my top two choices are the Sony X90L and the Samsung QN85C. It’s hard to compare the two to decide which is better.
If you want to watch mvoies i would pick the QN... I enjoy my X90L but you miss out on better blacks which I feel is a must for movies.
I got a QN85C 75 inch for 1200 but too bad it did not fit my TV mount & I’m just too lazy to replace the mount…but overall very good tv
@@kevinli9035 I went with the 85 inch and it’s the size of my wall. I should’ve went with the 75 inch
The Samsung qn90d is $1000+ more than the qn90c and seems to be only marginally better so seems it's the better choice. Also , the s90c and qn90c are about the same price. I know the s90c is better but screen burn in has me leaning towards the qn90c. Do you agree?
I like QN90C over the QN90D honestly even if you say their the same price I just think the QN90C is a better panel overall and the coating is better as well less distracting but the S90C over both burn in shouldn't be a factor unless your binging CNN.
Super useful list 💯
Pretty fair. No QLED/miniLED has reached OLED PQ and man, the PQ of infinite contrast does make a difference. Also, the interesting thing about TVs is every tier has its meaning. In a Bar, or a restaurant you won't put an OLED or a MiniLED. Likewise, a gamer shouldnt op to a LED TV.
Shat about the Samsung Qn90d

Glad to hear it! Thanks 🙏🏻
C3 is much better then the s90c in person.
The blacks are horrible on qd-oled, response time is worse, and things dont look as natural. Samsung juices thier panels, they dont have realistic colours
S89C in the S tier?
It’s the same tv basically as the S90C in the US
why S90C better than the C3?
QD OLED is much better than W-OLED in key areas of picture quality
I take it that the QN900D will have a great shot at S tier this year

how do you find QN90C?
@@tadejdanev5030 I'm happier with Qn90c. By appearance, much brighter. And I'm not thinking about burn in. The LG was very dark except in the HDR videos in youtube. Samsung is a bad build quality, the whole TV twists. local dimming is slow.
i using TVs mainly for PC monitor.
For LG TV I was wondering if I should return it in the 1st minute.
MiniLed has better white form Oled
I have problems with samsung's eARC, my Audio system does not recognize it
Damn should i have gone S90c over the C3? I was worried cuz i saw some people saying that S90c can look oversaturated at times and not the best motion handling compared to C3.
Tbh the motion and upscaling is defo better on the C3 also the webOS is better. Picture wise it’s really a coin toss on some scenes but colours and brightness does hit harder on the Samsung. In the end of the day you still got a great tv :)
C3 is better overall then the s90c
Agree with this list, Sony a95l is first and s95c is 2nd as it should be 😊
Order doesn’t matter within the tiers but yes I would have A95L a clear first.
Lg g3 solos 95c c3 negs s90c😂
The crowed at Best Buy would disagree the q90 was explosive addictive and joyful for the most part side gap by side watching the s90 was sort of a dull experience but watch certain things on the s90 was like a day dream so I don’t know many your right but the motion on the q90 just was a crowd pleaser it was like a live action movie
Boy it would be super useful of you had written the long list of TV in the commentstary
My heart sank when you rated the g3 because I just bought one😔
Where’s the S89C rank lol.
I agree, why he didn’t include this is odd…
I said I used 65 inch as my baseline in the beginning of the video s89c would be equal to s90c if your translating this to 77.
@@TechWithKG sorry didn’t catch that. Thanks
thanks for this
Motion handling, upscaling, and quality is the most important to me. Samsung SUCKS in these 3 categories. I will never consider any TV unless it's a SONY or LG!!!! Can't wait for the new G4 to come out next month. Will easily be the best TV of 2024!!!!!!!!!!
You nearly got me with the G3🤣
I was going to get g3 83 inch untill the guy at the shop told me it didnt have MLA... so im know waiting on a g4 if your going small grab a g3 there a beast
Qm7 best value for money
So then the S89C is S+ tier.
S89C is the same as S90C so s tier for sure I used 65 inch TVs in this particular ranking
Panasonic MZ2000 owns them all
How can samsung be so highly rated when it doesn’t support Dolby Vision?
Not only that it doesn't support DTS.
S90C but 1st gen has me skeptical. Just found out Samsung are mixing WRGB and QD-Oleds in the S90D, so I might pull the trigger on the S90C
SONY X90J would be Category B like the X90L am i right 🙂..... SONY ✌🏻
you know this guy either doesn't know what a good tv is or has sponsored based opinion when he rates tvs by their HDR performance or contrast performance . doesn't mention motion handling even once!
😂
No reviewers ever mention the bloatwear on these tvs, os, and targeted ads.
Pioneer's Kuro plasma TVs 20 years ago were the reference benchmark. I don't think they've made their own TVs for a very long time.
A month ago I got the S90C but I returned it to get the S95C was on sale but then I returned it and got the S90C again 😂 because I saw no difference worth the difference in price! Even the sound is better on the S90C and mine has the Gen 2 panel…shows 512 number on the service menu.
The S95B sound before they nerfed it was surprisingly good. When I first got it I was like “hot damn how is that coming from such a thin frame” but then a couple weeks later in one of the 12xx or 13xx updates they toned down the bass quite a bit. I heard a lot of people had rattling in higher volumes so that was probably why.
Pro tip: run away from any rating video where the first thing they tell you to do is by the TV from their affiliate links
