I watched this video maybe 20 times before I put my printer together, the information you shared is invaluable, especially the bed leveling. That alone solves so many problems.
Thank you RUclips algorithms. This was in my list of videos today. I'm a 60+ newbie taking a plunge into 3d printing. Happens that this printer should arrive in about 40 hours. Thank you this was the clearest informative setup I've seen. I'll be reviewing this many times and have it handy when I get it in gear and assemble it. Nice job thank you.
Tip for any new users levelling your bed, for any big adjustments to the bed move whole sides so two wheels at a time and then only do fine adjustments one wheel at a time, this will prevent your bed from warping and twisting and creating an uneven surface
Dude.... I can't read and I can't pay attention WHEN I read, so I thank you LOADS! I just followed your step by step guide. I know you just read it and stuff but I'm a super visual person so thank you for being here with this.
Thank you very much! I'm having the exact printer, but I'm an absolute beginner in 3D printing. It helped me quite a lot to get my machine started and perfectly leveled.
@@rivetingsteak5988 Hey there, pretty good! I'm very impressed by the printing quality and especially by the print bed. As mentioned in the video, the parts are released effortlessly after they've cooled down. Just keep in mind to go slowly with your speeds. I think with a second z-axis stepper it could be more stable. I've attached a bl-touch to it and replaced the stock cooling duct. I'm glad to have this printer! It's an absolute recommendation for that money!
@High Octane Hi there, Check out, if all the screws are tight. Then check if your end position contact needs to be adjusted. ( z- axis ) Last step is to check your rolers from your bed. The ones underneath the bed. Therefore you find plenty of tutorials on RUclips. Just search for rollers adjustment or end contact adjustment, etc. And don't worry, 3D printing is a lot of fun, but you gotta learn a lot too, to get everything running smoothly. Good luck! If you have any further questions, just text me. If you want, I can do some short clip for you, where I show you my printer and how I fixed those issues. Best regards!
I've been running my elegoo neptune 2 into the ground for the past few months and it's high time I get another printer. I bought this one since I wanted a larger scale printer. Comes in the mail in a few days. Can't wait!!!!
Thanks for the video! It's extremely helpful for setting up, tuning and running the LK5 Pro, so much so that a beginner like myself can get it printing! I noticed numerous parts of the video were outright not even in the instructions whatsoever, including the axis tolerance adjustments, adding filament, how to use the printer UI, etc. I think these is what takes the LK5 from a cheap knockoff to an inexpensive but usable printer. Therefore, it's sad that the instructions skip these. Also, the instructions do a pretty poor job explaining how things go together (I'm a Mechanical Engineer and it still took 3 tries to get past step 1, with just the instructions mind) with weird pictures and plenty of chinglish! For your extrusion issues, I recommend checking the wire connection at the extrusion motor. Mine was poor-fitting, and caused numerous no-printing issues. I wonder if you are hitting some issues with poor extrusion motor connection yourself!
Great video. Watched it a couple of times before I tackled assembly. Very helpful. I also purchased a Logitech C920 camera to capture the renders...any suggestions for a good mount (3D print or otherwise)?
I'm new to 3D printing. This is the first printer I ever bought. Right off the bat, nothing sticks. There is overflow from the nozzle as it is loading more filament. It just doesn't stop flowing! I was able to print the filament guide that came stock but anything else nothing sticks to the bed. Any thoughts that could remedy this issue?
I just got this printer did a test and the first layer coming out is thick, it making it hard to separate the whistle from the first layer. Any advice on how to adjust that? I broke the whistle try too..
Just started using this printer and I have no idea how you pull your prints off so easily. I have to fight to get mine off. What did you heat your bed temp to? Did you put anything on the bed before printing?
Some said this printer has some heating hazards like over heating and so I am in the moment of building and benefiting from your video. How can I check if there is a potential heating problem? Do I have to go all the way to try days of print to figure it out if that happens to me or my printer has the same issues? Do you have some suggestions thanks I can share that review that I saw in the amazon lately I really feel confused and upset because I like the machine a lot but I am not a expert to figure out potential failures.
I followed you on the assembly of the LK5 pro and I did everything like you until it came to printing. I am unable to print anything 3 hours after finishing the assembly of the printer. I can not get anything to stick to the bed. I tried using the default settings. I have no idea what is wrong with my settings.
Same as the ender 3. 1.75mm. All of your ender 3 upgrades with tubing, springs, metal extruder brackets, etc. fits on this machine. Question answered. 👍🏾
I noticed in the settings that the fan speed is at 0 .... do I need to turn that up at all? or should I leave it on the default setting when doing prints
Hi. I want to buy this printer and at the same time a Kit to duplicate the Z axis. I have seen several but I don't know the length of the vertical screw of the Z axis that comes with the machine itself. Could you tell me what the measurement is to buy the correct one? Thank you so much. 😀
He's using the original. PLEASE get the upgraded version. If you don't, among other things, you'll have to order a new cooling fan assembly to get the job done right. Or 3D print one.
@@keilarangel5697 thank you. My baby is using stock parts and it's printing well. The only thing I've changed was the nozzle. I'm printing out the thunder tank right now!! Yeah BABY!!

I just ordered mine, 3rd video I seen that mentions lack of the 2208 on the extruder stepper. Is the individual drivers changeable on the mainboard? I'm going to see about upgrading it.
Thanks for the video, I followed the steps like you did but I'm having an issue. My filament won't stick to the print pad, can you provide assistance to get this sorted out? I tried to print the included cube file and wound up with a glob of material around the extruder.
its been a month so hopefully you figured it out, i just expierenced my first print as well, same issue as yourself, but I pumped up the nozzle temp to 210 and the bed to 65c. It came out perfect and im having better results on my next prints as well.
I printed the whistle first, as you did. Tried three times before getting it to stick past 5 minutes. After I got past that issue, every time the ball in the middle gets halfway, it breaks off before the print is finished. Any ideas how to remedy this issue?
I am curious... i had a sculpto 2 which had a scaler in the app for it.... i was printing an optimus prime at 185%.... how would i scale with this one?
You should be able to scale using whatever app you use fir splicing. Cura for example has a "scale" option in the bottom left when you are setting your splicing options.

Watch out!!! The metal clips will potentially destroy your bed heating element! It just happened to me after 1 month and only removing the glass plate 3 times! I just soldered a jumper wire to limp by for now. Print your own clips. Immediately remove your metal bed and look underneath!!! Trust me!!!
yes you only need the computer for the g code files that you would get from cura when it is done slicing the stl file and then put that file on to the sd card and put the sd card into the printer. I hope that helps you and answers your question.
It is just about performance (although that can also be thought of given the Cura 4.7 and higher maximum resolution settings). 32-bit boards have generally more flash space and RAM.
Unit is junk. Owned 3 weeks and many things are popping up. Finishing long prints is a crapshoot. Bed adhesion the same. Honestly the first few prints were ok but after that the horrible quality of thus machine has begun to show itself. Im in the midst of working to get a refund.

Where does the filament guide, detector and coupling go? It's all in one bag and no where in the instructions, one item looks like a little switch.
I want to get the ender 3 pro
Which one is better between the two?
The ender 3 pro is more for if you on a budget but if you have the money then the LK5 Pro is better
