Any mods to do with the bed, especially those that come into contact with the screws or the springs need to be made from the filament with highest bed temp you print with. I know this is a video that is nearly a year old, but is it possible to upgrade the nozzle from the stock, brass one, to a hardened steel nozzle for filaments that might contain abrasive materials? I assume that it is, but want to ask anyway. I've been trying to find a decent and cheap 3d printer with a fairly large build volume. I've had some experience printing with prusas, but since I'm now no longer a student at the university operating them, I'm kind of on my own trying to find one that's affordable. Do you also have any other recommendations for cheap, large volume 3d printers that I could look at? Thanks in advance!

I just got mine today but just the red power button turns on, nothing else No LCD screen or fans. After many attempts it turned on and I did my test print but once I turned off never turns on again.I may returned because I have no idea what the could be the issue.
Hi, have you ever encountered the problem with Cura, that the 3d printer stops mid-print? Sometimes it happens just at first layer, and the screen totally freezes, you can only fix it by cutting of the power and power it on again.
i have been having some warping using printed solid PLA i know its the filament because when i use several of the other brands i have i have no warping, sometimes it just lifts the corner a little sometimes alot so i am going to stay away from that filament
How does this compare to the Ender 3-Max? They are both larger format budget printers for about the same cost. Do you recommend one over the other? I'm looking to get a bigger print surface and considering both. Thanks!
I got this printer for 1 week now (Many thanks for the coupon code @BV3D) and i can say that the mentioned strain relief model you showed in the video for the print bed was included in the box!! So that was a nice surprise. Still got 1 or 2 issues still. Printing works without any issues, only the filament holder i am looking for a different solution because the angle from the filament spool/holder to the extruder is in my opinion way to sharp. And also the spool wobbles so much while the extruder is working (had even a broken filament because of that, in combination of the sharp angle ofc). The x,y and z stepper motors are really quiet but that said, the fan for the powersupply is very noisy. Not sure if that can be solved with something. But that said, i really like the printer, and ofc the print volume. Not done a tall print yet because of the filament spool holder, but when i find a solution i will print a big one.
You seem be very knowledgeable. Am having a filament error on this printer. I have had it for about a year. Good machine. After trying to find why its doing this. I noticed that the filament was rubbing on the wire and rubbed off the plastic cover. Should I re wire the area. Thanks for the help. Dnt want to do the wrong thing

Hi! 😀 It's not a bad printer by any stretch, it just needs a couple of little tweaks. I'm trying out a fan duct thing I found, that was supposed to be for the LK4, but it fits the LK5. I'm curious how well it holds up, since I printed it in PLA. I'm also curious to see if it fixes the cooling issue I saw on the CaliCats. I have a CaliCat printing right now.
Does anyone have any advice as to why my raft isnt printing properly? It lays down like 1 line around the outer edge like its going to print a base but then goes right to the print and the bottom of my 3d prints look shotty
I just did a search for "Automatic Wire Ferrule Crimper" and found this: ruclips.net/video/_v3iIYP2juQ/видео.html I don't know how much it costs, but it seems like it would be a super easy thing to put on a production line. The production lines right now may (or may not) use an automatic wire stripper, but the person making the wiring harness has to dip the stripped wire in flux (maybe?) and then into a pot of molten solder. I think it would take just one company consistently using ferrules, *AND* including that fact in their advertising as a safety feature, and other companies would follow.
I found a printable part on Thingiverse that let me mount a 5015 blower for parts cooling, and a 4010 (instead of the 30mm fan) for cooling the heat sink. Works like a champ! (Orange you glad I didn't make you wait Longer to find that out?) 😄
Bought the Longer LK5 Pro 3d printer and it didn't work right out of the box. The Z axis would only go up but not down, wouldn't home and was doing strange things. So, I contacted Longer support to find out that my printer had a bad motherboard. Then they told me they would ship me a new motherboard and to fix it myself. I guess they got the name LONGER for it want work long but takes longer to get it fixed. I wouldn't trust anything with the brand name Longer on it. I have three other 3d printers from three different manufactures and have had no issues. Again, I wouldn't trust anything with the brand name Longer on it.
This video kinda stinks. I have this printer and many other printers. The longer printer is excellent for starters and anyone who wants more build volume. Its better than the creality printers and much better priced than prusa. And it works well with PLA and PETG and many more Filaments. I definitely recommend it to most users unless you would like to pay more and prusa would not be my go to . But flash forge is way better than most printer and has a great price. But anyways thus should get a better review when creality got a good one and they don't have a good reputation on safety. I had to change the board and everything else on my ender 5 pro to make it safe and less bed volume and it also had a know not touch screen and I paid $420 when it first came out. So this is a great printer and it should get better recognition.
Hi Manny! I'm sorry you didn't like the video. I pointed out a couple of times that the price of the printer is very good for the build volume you get. My final thoughts on it were positive; as I said, I like the printer. The only downsides to the printer were the parts cooling, the lack of ferrules on the heater bed wires, and the need for strain relief on the bed cables. Earlier today I printed a new fan shroud, it holds a 4010 fan to cool the heat sink and a 5015 blower with a semicircular duct for parts cooling. In installed that about four hours ago and it completely solved the parts cooling issue with the CaliCat tails. Sounds like yo have a lot more experience with the LK5 Pro than I do, so you've probably seen it. It's this one, on Thingiverse. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4131344 Thanks for watching, and sharing your thoughts! 👍

The review was completely fair, manufacturers need to stop silly practices like tinning wires in screw terminals etc If they sent Bryan a non production model without strain relief it's not his fault unless they explicitely let him know what's going into the production model.
Coffee power!!! :P
And retina-burning orange filament! 😊
@@BV3D oh, and TRAM,.. dare it TRAM!!! tram tram tram tram tram ... LOL
$365.00 😮
I just got my printer for 220.00
8-bit board in 2021? No, thank you!
I guess it takes LONGER to print taller :-P (sorry)
😄
It's this one, on Thingiverse. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4131344
Thanks for watching, and sharing your thoughts! 👍
@@BV3D the video was a nice one. Just the review. Lol. You are correct about the connections on the hot end cables and blocks 🚫. But I recommend this printer for everyone as a beginner with the safety repairs. 😀 I will keep following you and I will share. I want everyone to have fun printing. I do sell Filaments and parts. So you are doing a great favor to the printing community. Thank you and have a nice one.
why dont you make a video review and let your work stand. i agree with everything brian has said about this printer as they are clearly defects printer companies needs to stop making. and even creality has issues. so when you make your video comment here and ill watch it.
The review was completely fair, manufacturers need to stop silly practices like tinning wires in screw terminals etc If they sent Bryan a non production model without strain relief it's not his fault unless they explicitely let him know what's going into the production model. It was positive overall regardless.
Hi Bryan i see there are some fan duct for this on thingiverse like this one 4764424 and keep up good videos
Hi Jonathan! Thank you! I found this one (www.thingiverse.com/thing:4131344) and it works great! 👍
