Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners' real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiasts. I contact each person who sends me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up on what happened after what we see on their video. Voice-over and captions are added to describe what happened and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. People need to learn that putting your indicator on does not mean you can immediately move. You still have to wait until it’s safe 🙄

typical bmw maneuver speed up and cut off the other driver but his plan fail badly
Once he lost traction he never got it back at all.
The answer to the question would be that the instructor would say to the student the following “this is what an idiot driver looks like and beware of all BMWs”

Not seeing Anyone commenting on the driver at 7:45 passing in the turn lane. Yes the kia was being a jerk but it looks like the submitter was as well by trying to fight the guy for the spot. Not worth the risk and he ended up zipping past people in the turn lane which was even more unsafe.
Also, the driver of a pickup is not called a trucker. Those are the guys that drive big rigs.
YEP! I am so infuriated that the narration is all against Kia. That Tesla driver was also a very bad driver.
Kia driver went to cut off Tesla. Tesla driver gunned it and then swerved into oncoming traffic and passed on solid yellow line.
Kia was rude. Tesla was dangerous.
Drivers can be like that around here (I live about 10min from where that happen, this was Winfield not Wheaton). I’ve had people try and speed up to block me from getting into a lane when there has been plenty of room before.
Submitter in the Tesla plain and simple cut the Kia off. Kia began indicating and only then did he speed up.
Yes you're not entitled to change lanes, but their rear bumper ahead of the front bumper = road is empty, don't speed up to cut them out. 100% deliberate crash attempt by the Tesla driver.

I will second the recommendation to have your vehicle inspected if you have a tow hitch that gets bonked. Tow hitches HAVE to be mounted directly to the vehicle's frame in order to maximize the tow capacity of the hitch. A hard enough bonk to the hitch can easily cause frame damage where the hitch mounts to the frame.

After watching all of the WhamBaam videos for over a year have come to the conclusion that many Tesla drivers are too aggressive (entitled?). Then there is the fact that BMW drivers are much worse and Jeep Wrangler drivers are a real close second. Hondas - just too many which ups the odds of a Honda bump - yep, had one. Zero damage to my F350's rear bumper but it totaled the Honda.
Driving instructor: Yes! My driving school is getting free advertising on Wham Baam!

The instructor probably told the student that you have to watch all the drivers on the road and that you are not just driving for yourself but for everyone else in the road as well.

5:03 Do Teslas not come with a spare wheel/tyre? I can’t imagine waiting an hour for a tow, then the towing time, then waiting for the old tyre to be removed and another one fitted and balanced…. Against the 15 minutes it takes to put the spare on the car. Let’s also hope to god you aren’t in a no service area. I’ve only had a flat tyre three times in 42 years of driving, but I’m glad every car I’ve ever owned had a spare wheel/tyre. I’ve been back on the road in under 20 minutes each time.
No, Tesla vehicles do not come with spare tires as standard. However, you can purchase aftermarket spare tire kits or carry a compact spare tire.

That's crazy, all the money on a car and no spare tire included as standard. Not even a donut is crazy to me.
@@AmiciArt yeah, I wouldn't want to not have a spare tire! I've used mine a couple times. Nothing worse than having to get your car towed away and wait for a shop to replace a simple tire. Turns a 15-30 minute job into a 3 hour ordeal.
they have front trunk and back trunk, yet no room for a spare! LOL
I was hit by another driver whilst on a lesson a few years ago. Unfortunately I had a horrible instructor (temporarily) who proceeded to panic and ask me multiple times what to do. The driver that rear ended us drove around me and sped away. I decided to drive to the closest police station and half way there my instructor forced me to do an emergency stop because he thought was in the wrong lane to turn, I wasn't. I proceeded and when we were almost at the police station, he changed his mind and told me not to go there. One day he stopped showing for my lessons with no warning, I messaged him & he told me he had health issues but I later found out he failed his own driving instructor test. Long story short, I passed 1st time with another instructor and have been happily driving for just over 4 years how :) I hope the instructor from the first clip told the student it wasn't their fault, and handled the situation like an adult!

It staggers me how many people (like the Model 3 owner) would rather floor the gas and risk their expensive car rather than give up a space.

Hey Brennan if you're out there, did that affect your premium at all? I had something similar happen. It was 430am so didn't see some kinda rectangular box or a 2x4 until the last second. It ended up shredding both my driver side tires. Tow truck said I could try reimbursement through. CalTrans but after reading about it, it sounded like the only real option was insurance but that it would count as a collision. I ended up just paying the tires out of pocket, and service center ended up replacing two TPMS and a wheel bearing assembly for free presumably thinking it was a warranty claim? idk but glad they covered it

one of the downsides to the green light *bong* sound is that it comes on for the lights that aren’t yours too. the tesla probably heard the sound & thought their light was green while not fully paying attention.
