I thought I’d leave a comment about Mr. Nat King Cole. My father took my mother to go see Nat King Cole in Los Angeles in the area called Silverlake off of Alvarado Avenue and 11th St. small club very nondescript but when Mr. Cole sang, it was unforgivable moment for my mother and father, testament to hard. Nat King Cole worked to bring the music to the masses as they say in those days after World War II feelings of uncertainty and what was to come was very challenging for the people that came back after World War II, cherish that my father shared that with me and thank you, Mr. Cole for the beautiful memories❤❤❤❤

My grandmother just died about 2 weeks ago, my grandfather died a few years ago, whenever I was a little girl, he would sing this song today, I didn’t remember this song until I watched the video of me coming to my grandparents’ house when I was only 6 years old, he would hug me and sing this whole song. This brings back the best of memories, I love it so much, is very heartwarming:
I listen to this often for inspiration on how to smile after my husband passed away last year, I listen with tears but then I look at his photograph and smile for the love and strength he gave me. I was his carers after a stroke for 9 years I miss him so much but I will carry on to make him proud ♥️

My father first heard Nat King Cole In a Cafe Bar Paris just after WW2 ! They were have drink with his unit and a jeep pulled up outside & a few America GIs jumped out /off ? - dunno what you do on a Jeep haha ? - & came in the bar ? & then another came in with a record player with 2 yes 2speakers while one Gi was setting it up another came in with a pile of recordings -Thats where Dad first heard Nat King Cole come through 2 speakers too !
Dad - Every Sunday morning would play his Nat King Cole recordings -while he got the veg and other stuff ready for the Sunday dinner ! - Mom was a night nurse and would catch a few zzzzz on a Sunday morning after getting home from work - Dad would prepare the food & Mom would get up at 12 while Dad went for a pint - He still could not belive the US govnt sent records for their troops in WW2 - Us Brits got bugger all he would always say !
Needed this tonight. My mum's dealing with a lot of health issues and it's really affecting her. It's tough to see her so sad and vulnerable, especially since she always seemed so strong and confident when I was growing up. I really want her to recover so she can go back to being herself again. She needs to find a reason to really smile again, like what this song did for me.

Fab U Lous❤
One of N.K.C.'s songs i love the most. Nat King Cole sings it so beautifully.💖💖
THANK YOU PORTER ROBINSON FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THIS SONG
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
For you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear maybe ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile- what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worth while
If you just smile
Oh that's the time you must keep on trying
Smile what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worth while
If you just smile
This voice is like to be in Heaven for a while ❤️
Merci pour les paroles:)
😍
Smile...
Incomparable
This what real talent looks and sounds like.
Have always loved this song. My husband passed 2 years ago, still missing him dearly, this song helps me thru each day, alone,!
All the words are clearly articulated. BRAVO👍👍👍
I’ve always loved Nat king Cole and his music and at 84, it sounds better than ever. I hope Carter is doing ok. Linda xx
One of the greatest songs there ever was.
NAT KING COLE HAS THE BEST ARRANGEMENT OUT OF THEM ALL.
AND OF COURSE HIS SENSATIONAL VOICE AND TALENT .

This was my grandfather's favorite song. Miss him so much...
My dad's memory and he's been gone twenty four years today. Thinking of him and this song popped into my mind so I had to hear it. I never realised it charted in the UK in 1954...the year of my birth. So cheers dad...I love and miss u too...so so much x
This song brings me through so many emotions. I’ll cry the whole song through but rest assured, I’m always smiling in the end.
A beautiful song. Reading what you just said started my tears. My mom passed January 4 of 2021. You was my very best bud. My son was about 7 or 8 when I started taking my mom to all of her dr appointments, anywhere she wanted to go. I miss my friend so much. My cousin just send this to me. You have a nice holiday. You comment just touch me. I am and always have been a cry baby. Happy or sad. Take care
😅
My grandmother just died about 2 weeks ago, my grandfather died a few years ago, whenever I was a little girl, he would sing this song today, I didn’t remember this song until I watched the video of me coming to my grandparents’ house when I was only 6 years old, he would hug me and sing this whole song. This brings back the best of memories, I love it so much, is very heartwarming:
How could anyone take this as an insult, it’s such a beautiful song. 😢
This is the classic version.
I listen to this often for inspiration on how to smile after my husband passed away last year, I listen with tears but then I look at his photograph and smile for the love and strength he gave me. I was his carers after a stroke for 9 years I miss him so much but I will carry on to make him proud ♥️
... We must keep on trying ...
That's me too
God Bless You
Tammy
Nat King Cole and Perry Como are my favorite renditions of this beautiful, poignant song.
This song helped me through a bad period in my life, from which I emerged a better person. Thank you Nat.
Of all the great singers I’ve heard in my 69 years, Nat Cole’s probably the best. What...a...voice.
What an excellent song from Nat King Cole in 1954 Thank you Stephen

Thank you 🙏🏻
Trying but failing. Very therapeutic to cry to actually x
This is a Greco song my entire family joined in a group singing. What a beautiful and breathtaking song!
My Dads favourite singer.. we played this at the end of his funeral..
What a sweet moment that must have been...
My Dad's too, and he passed at 93 in 2019. We used "Stardust" and "The Very Thought of You" at his celebration of life, as well as Frank Sinatra's "I'll See You Again" I miss him so much, sometimes it really hits home.
Wonderful !
Positive thoughts sent your way, Jess.
@@MarkParker Thank you :)
Blessings and hugs!
How are you doing
Blessings and be Strong! Think Good And it will be Good !
Missing my TATAY and my NANAY while playing this song...
What a beautiful song! I try so hard to smile through my sorrow, sons to make those around me cheer up! It's sad, and hard to do!
I lost my mother on Christmas Day over two years ago, and this song just makes me cry and reminisce 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Such a wonderful song and singer 💗 .
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life I lost both my parents in the last six years and when I listen to this ,song l just want to cry. What a great song by the great Nat King Cole , so touching.
Even though I was born about 45 years after this. I listen to Nat king cole because it reminds me of my Gran she always used to sing and hum along to his songs and when her dementia was in the later stages whenever we put on Nat she was back to her old self singing along once again. Good memories
