Yeah we call it chicken sandwich because the beef patty makes it a burger, not the bun 😉
Exactly- Doesn’t have to be beef, the patty can be made of ground-up anything, like veggie, Turkey, etc… But it has to have a patty to be a burger haha
Depending on who makes them, biscuits can be very dry, some are super buttery though, so it's a little bit of a mix.
You usually add something to the biscuit to offset the dryness, like gravy, honey, jam, marmalade, or butter.
Just something about that American, southern cuisine!
the funny thing is we eat biscuits in any kind of way, savory with gravy, sweet with jam or honey, or just a nice buttery fluffy goodness

Popeyes biscuits do tend to be drier than your average American biscuit. But it's still absolutely nothing like a scone, idk why so many Brits can't process that they're entirely different things. That's like thinking bread and cake are the same thing.
The TV ad for a chain of fry chicken in the US is "crispy in the outside, tender in the inside". Exactly what one of the boys said. 😊

Popeye’s is a big hit in the UK. There were plans to roll out at least 300 restaurants over a 4 - 5 year period. However, due to the overwhelming success with the existing locations, which has deeply cut in the local chicken shops’ business over there, as well as KFC’s market share, they plan to accelerate the rollout. Chick-fil-a recently announced it was going to re-enter the British market. Don’t be surprised to see other US chains follow due to Popeye’s success.
Chicken burgers are the frozen chicken patties you get at the grocery store. Chicken sandwiches are from restaurants.
We live 5 minutes from a Popeyes, the food is so good. Love watching Jolly, Josh and Ollie are so funny.
There are a few other Jolly videos with these school lads and they are all good, you should definitely check them out. The kids are funny and I would love to have a pint with the headmaster.
To the U S a burger is a ground meat patty to make a chicken burger make it with ground chicken
Fries (chips) on any hot sandwich and chips (crisps) on any cold sandwich. It is the way.
FYI, Popeye's chicken is generally > less < spicy outside of south Louisiana.
They should give the kids some of the hacked foods. Chicken biscuit with grape jelly is a big hit in Alabama and Georgia.
As an American I think there are some great British foods - bangers, fish and chips, yorkshire pudding, Sunday roast, cornish pasties, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, bacon sandwiches, chicken tikka masala, shepherds pie, steak pie, scones with clotted cream and jam, trifle, sticky toffee pudding, digestives, shortbread, jammy dodgers, Bakewell tarts... the list goes on and on.
IRL, we don't eat our biscuits dry. Usually buttered, with honey, sausage gravy, jam, sausage patty/egg/cheese or something else that appeals. And a biscuit is resoundingly *_not_* a "scone." They're light, buttery, fluffy with a crisp exterior and usually _very_ slightly sweet.
Popeye's biscuits are the driest amongest the fast food restaurants but on average they are fluffy. You usually would add butter, jelly, jam, marmalade, or honey. They do have a dessert biscuit but I'm not a fan of strawberries. If you ever come to the US another chicken restaurant you should try is Bojangles. They are mostly in the southern part of the US and they are really good.
It always amazes me that all school children in the UK wear a tie to class. That's so different from the US.
Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich really is delightful. Perfect blend of crispy, tender, spicy, etc. It just hits ever note.

You're supposed to open the biscuit and add butter and honey, then close it back up and dip it in the gravy and mashed...
Omg, Popeyes’ biscuits are fluffy, light and crisp on the outside and the very best it flakes apart as you eat it. . But you didn’t get the very best side, the side that reveals its Louisiana’s origins, the spicy red beans and rice. That , and a spicy chicken piece is Popeyes. And of course a hot biscuit!!!!
I have a Popeye’s 10 minutes away, I’ve never been there. I think I’ve been to Popeye’s once, and that was on a road trip.
The biscuits need butter and honey
To be a burger, the patty has to be ground/minced. Otherwise, how would you distinguish a turkey burger from a turkey sandwich? If you substitute a Turkey patty for some Turkey slices, does that automatically turn it into a sandwich or is it still a burger?
It would be a turkey sandwich, only GROUND meats is considered a burger in the US, a burger is based on the ground meat, other countries, anything in a bun is considered a burger.

I have recommendation - this is a bit weird I would appreciate it if you reacted to Vikings Bills from last year. The game is shockingly chaotic and the title literally say 'GAME OF THE YEAR' it's not from this year but it's very entertaining and I think you'll like it. Another game you could react to is Bills Chiefs divisional because it might be the greatest game of all time. And lastly, continue doing these 'British people try ____ for the first time' I enjoy them a lot
Burgers have ground meat patties. Ground chicken makes a chicken burger. The shape of the bread is irrelevant. Best thing at Popeyes is spicy chicken on the bone. Their mashed potatoes/gravy are really good too. The flavor scared them because its Cajun, from New Orleans, different from any flavor they ever had, and they have naive taste buds.

Nah, these are chicken sandwiches. It's just a deep fried chicken breast in between buns. Chicken burgers are made with minced chicken patties, which is the same way burger beef is made.
