Chick Fil A (how they spell it but is pronounced Chick Fillet) aka “The Lord’s Chicken” is another good chicken sandwich fast food restaurant. Besides the variety of chicken sandwiches they have chicken tenders with a number of dipping sauces. They also have waffle fries, or chips as they call them across the pond. They are potatoes cut up in away to look like waffles. The Lord’s Chicken moniker is because the whole chain is closed on Sundays. They also are famous for funny roadside signs with cows writing things like “Eat mor chikin”.

One of the tricks to making chicken crunchy is adding a bit of corn or potato starch to the breading. If you like good seasonings, you should try something called OLD BAY SEASONING. In the South ( USA ), this seasoning is a staple in our households. We put this stuff on everything from seafood to potato chips. You could probably get this online from the US if you wanted. I think you would like it especially on seafood. I never eat steamed shrimp or crabs without it. A little goes a long way with this stuff, so make sure to taste before you dump though. My grandmother would use some in her breading mixture when she cooked fried chicken, and have even seen where people will sprinkle some on their macaroni and cheese. It really does go with everything.

I know that there is a lot of confusion both in the U.S. and in other countries about what do you call something either a 'burger' or a 'sandwich'... well, here's the way to tell...
the breading (bun) does NOT make something a 'burger'... "Burger" is short for HAMBURGER, thus ONLY ground beef shaped into a patty and cooked, then placed on bread (of any type as sliced sandwich bread can also be used and it doesn't make it a 'sandwich'...) is the ONLY thing that can be called a 'burger'. EVERYTHING else is a 'sandwich' by definition.
'sandwich' is meat between two bread pieces. and while a 'burger' fits that definition, it is a special sub-category by itself. so chicken, pork, ham, turkey, ect are all sandwiches when put between bread. even pulled beef or loose ground beef is still a sandwich (sloppy Joe). only the ground beef, shaped into a patty and cook then placed in between bread is a 'burger'. most people are unaware of this distinction and will mistakenly call many sandwiches as 'burgers'. especially when it's a patty shape...

I live in the city with Wendy’s hq. When I was in school they would get us together to test out new products. It was always a nice break from regular school food.

You were talking about spices with your cooking. I have found that the southern part of the states seems to season more. My son lives in upstate NY & salted food is the best your can get. We visit there & I cook the entire time we visit for my son's in-laws & make skillets or corn bread.

Popeye's is either the best fried chicken you ever had from a restaurant or it is bad, just depends on the location/owners. Same ingredients, some places train their staff, others do not. Unlike Chick-Fil-A, never been to a bad location for them and their staff is always professional and nice. Bojangles has always been consistent also but there are not too many of them around me.
As for the UK Popeye's, they just opened some recently.

It's ok for metal in honey but silver is another historical case of a very long story. You just don't want to destroy the beneficial bacteria and enzymes.

10:35 Actually, milk or cream is the "antidote" to spicy food. Enzymes in milk products will break down and nullify the spice compound(s). So, have milk handy if you're faced with a spicy meal you may not be able to handle. This is also why ranch dressing is a popular dip or side for fried chicken wings with spicy buffalo wing sauce.

For the tenders, you can get spicy, mild, blackened (spicy or mild).
The potatoes are even spicy, my ex will not eat there anymore because the potatoes were too spicy for her liking and that was back when we were married about 8 years ago. I think that was the first and last time she had Popeyes.

I know I shouldn’t be proud of the 5467 bazillion calorie fast food.. but I kinda am 😂
Your daughter (I’m sorry that I don’t know how to spell her name, and I don’t want to misspell) has been absolutely adorable on the last few videos.
When y’all come to Texas, I would be happy to make y’all some real chicken fried steak and all the sides (fixins) with a warm pecan pie and ice cream.
This is what we do in Texas. If I can’t accommodate, there are ladies (and their families) all over the state that will serve you the best food and get you settled in the guest rooms, if you want.
*Best food other than my food, of course*
There are a lot of stereotypes about Texas. I claim good food, and hospitality more genuine than I have ever seen in other parts of the world.
I do not claim the ridiculously hot summers or mosquitoes. Or lovebugs. Or any of the multitude of flying insects.
Y’all will love Texas! And sunscreen and bug spray 😂

I follow a couple of different Brits, and they were really happy bc Popeye's finally came to London a couple of months back. There is no contest between KFC and Popeye's. Popeye's wins. And Jolly (Josh and Olly) comes to shoot at the school bc Josh (I believe) is actually friends with the headmaster (the guy in the vid). They went to college together or something like that. They've known each other a long time. If you look back at their vids, they did this with a group of boys previously, and it became really popular. Josh actually did school in South Korea, is basically fluent, and wanted to see how people in London would react to Korean food. So Jolly would bring authentic Korean food and snacks to the school, and shoot vids. Well, that group of boys has now graduated and are in college. As a graduation gift, Jolly took them to South Korea! But it was such a popular series (on his channels Jolly and Korean Englishman), that they're doing it with new students. It's a great series, you should really check it out! You should also check out the food series that they did w/ 2 rappers. They are hilarious!

The key to making your own crispy fried chicken........ after you season the chicken have a bag of baking flour ready. Put the whole piece of chicken in the bag of flour and shake it up well making sure that the whole piece is fully coated and then place it in a pot of boiling oil. It will come out extra Crispy.

I wholeheartedly get what you said about food tasting better when someone else makes it and you not maybe enjoying your own food as much. I worked in several sandwich shops here in NYC or as we call the bodegas and people loved my sandwiches but when I made them for myself I didn't find them as tasty, but if i passed by another place and got one from there I would absolutely love it and find it so much better lol idk what it is, maybe we're weird in a way 😂😂
