@@TheFrugalMombot It depends somewhat on where in the country you are and/or what communities you're a part of whether they're common or not. I'd never even seen Combos until college, but many of my peers there (other side of the country) loved them and had been eating them since childhood.
As an American, it cracks me up how Twinkies are so well known around the world as 'American,' but I don't actually know anyone who buys them!

I know Europeans are familiar with our brands that have gone global (Coca-Cola, Snickers, Oreos, etc.), but it would be fun to see them try our more old-fashioned favorites like Circus Peanuts, Little Debbie Snack Cakes, Marshmallow Peeps, or Slim-Jims. And some regional favorites, like Mountain Bars from Seattle, Moon Pies from Tennessee, Cheese Curds from Wisconsin, Cactus Candy from Arizona, and Saltwater Taffy from New Jersey.

Edit: Taki's has a new type of chip, Taki's Kettlez. They're 🔥 af, nice crispy kettle cooked potato chip covered in Taki powder. Much better than the super thick and stale tasting cornroll-ups that is the crappy OG Taki's. Taki's just needed a better chip.

My taste in food has evolved over the decades. The food I ate as a baby, as a child, as a teen & as an adult has changed.
I think this was my first Jolly a couple of years ago. They hit comedy gold when they chose this school. And we haven't even met Max and Armond yet.
it’s so funny how these boys are usually super sweet and polite when tasting unique korean food but when they’re having almost basic american snacks they just keep roasting 😂

They're one of those snacks you buy at a convenience store once and never again. They are pretzel logs filled with cheesy flavoring. Not terrible imo but you can't really eat a whole bag.
I had a coworker that literally bought combos for break almost every day. So at least one person in the US likes them?? Not sure why though lol

As an American, the only snacks I actually have had from those is the twinkies, Hershey, Goldfish, cheez its, chocolate and takies. They should've tried oreos, Lay's chips, Doritos, Snickers, Twix, mixed nuts, trail mix, and Funyuns 👍🏼
They had to choose ones that aren't so popular because we have most of the other ones here in the UK too.

This is another reason we rebelled... And we are glad we did.
To be fair, Goldfish and Cheez-Its are intentionally very mild flavored snacks. That’s the very thing that gives one the ability to snack on it until the whole box is empty. Once you’re about a handful and a half deep, you literally can’t stop eating them until they’re gone.

Given that British food is known to be bland, I can't see how Americans would think British snacks are better. American palate is definitely not sophisticated but we do like flavor even if we don't agree on the same flavors.

I think Doritos, Oreos, Lays Potato chips, Cheetos, Hot Fries, Coke, Pepsi, Nerds candies, Krispy Cream donuts (although, they don’t taste the way the use to)would be more of an actual depiction of what Americans would snack on😄.

The pizza flavor ones were a flop. I thought they discontinued that shit. Cheez it’s are trash. Goldfish and takis (even though takis are Mexican) were the only main ones that count. Oh. And rap snacks, but if they had brought Migos or Notorious BIG bbq.

I can say that there are a handful of British snacks that surpass American snacks as an American whos partner still resides in the UK.

Mate, british people always mention that food in England it’s not very good in general. So what do you expect from their palate? Tbh you would have better responses from latin american countries since we do have a very elaborate tongue due to the different flavours our food it’s related going from spicy to sour to sweet, you name it and we have it

@@thedeadmoth When we say "spice" means that anything which provides flavour, not only something that makes things spicy. What I mean that mexicans would be better for this test it's because our palate it's accostumed to all sorts of foods going from sweet, to spicy, to sour, to salty, etc. British people usually are just fixed in salty and slightly sour flavours so their palates are limited by that and when in face of something really sour or something spicy they dislike it without even perceiving the difference. Within sour, there's a range and within spicy, there's a range. Takis Fuego are not only spicy, but salty and have a different flavours.
