Listening to the iconic The Seekers today remembering Judith and her powerful and amazing voice as all of the "boys" as she called them have. I most appreciate the way The Seekers always promoted beautiful Australia and its wonders to be appreciated, the way it was. Unfortunately, our Australia is not the same now and even more so by the sad loss of the wonderful talent of Judith Durham.
This music is the soundtrack of my childhood. Every song is utter joy. The musicianship and the harmonies are excellent, and Judith Durham’s voice... it’s like an angel is kissing my ears. I’ve listened to half a dozen songs tonight and there are happy tears streaming down my face.
The Seekers are an amazing marvel to me. The most pleasant music . It can calm so many bills. Such a Godly goodness. I love your voice young lady. I will learn more . Such a warm talent of wonderful folks. Bless you all
A beautiful song, Bruce Woodley has a lovely voice as well as Judith Durham. They all have fine voices. I have loved the Seekers since I was a young girl in school.
as a kiwi i never liked oz much but i have to say this group gave me so many nice happy memories of growing up in the 1960s. they were truly great Australian musicians and judith had the most beautiful voice i will always remember them. thank you for the memories
It's still one of my most favourite songs of The Seekers even though it's not their own song originally. Because they sing this song with their own version is very fascinating and charming indeed, to me.
I still sing it. It's a Scottish folk song, originally called "O Waly Waly", Cecil Sharp collected it from Somerset. I daresay The Seekers got it from Pete Seeger. It's a beautiful version which I've known since early childhood
Always brings a tear to my eye this beautiful rendition.first saw the seekers( a fleeting glimpse) at Keith potgers wedding in early 1966.saw them in concert in the early 2000s. Rip Judith. Rog. Pacific sunset records.

I remember singing this at a school concert with my friend, Adrea. I imagined I was Judith, well, I wished I was. Such a beautiful voice and wistful song!
Rich, your work on these videos is just so great, so tasteful, the way you put them together, it's truly beautiful. Your feeling and true love for the music and for the group really shines through. I thank you with all my heart. The only other thing that I must get off my chest here and now is that Keith Potger is my heart throb of all time. That's all, thank you and good evening.
This track comes from their first LP record studio recording actually in England with this amazing rich orchestral backing of Bobby Richards conductor...that was used with such ethereal arrangement. The original album was called Hide and Seekers..but can now be found included on The Seekers 5 cd box set called the Seekers Complete..
Judith was playing the role so well, but she was so empty and unfulfilled inside. She had to get on with her life in some important key areas. Just saw the movie about Judy Garland and I thank God Judith Durham did not resort to drugs and alcohol like she did. There is still so much more she can do in the recording studio although she is a long distance away from Abbey Roads Studio.

The Seekers have given the World so much joy. A beautiful blend of voices.
This beautiful song is an earworm. Everytime I hear it, it is in my head for months. No bad thing!

I could listen to this mournful song every day.
So rich and beautiful. I love this music and couldn't be more grateful for the Seekers. They are wonderful musicians and wonderful people as well.
So 60's. The seekers seemed to have everything.
She takes but a bit of air, food, and water, and gives the world such beauty.
That is Judith Durham.
You have a way with words; very Bright, Bill!

Nicely done! It's a pity so few can appreciate this glorious type of music anymore.

Happy people living in countries where sea is well available. It's a lifelong dream of mine to sail like this... I'm afraid it will never happen.

They sing this brilliantly here , but they way they sing and present it on the 'special farewell video' is haunting and truly exceptional.
I'm working now and at the same time listening to this song. It's beautiful and relaxing.
RIP Lovely Lady 💙
Brilliant old video!!
I love how Judith is in long sleeves, and there all in shorts. 😂 very sun safe, smart of Judith. I’ve never seen this video, I like it.
Beautiful song and beautiful video. Like them both.

Ok...turn your head when I turn mine. Ok...turn back again.
I just discovered this one a couple of minutes ago. Absolutely magnificent vocals. Do you know of a version of this that was videotaped?
Looks like fun if you don’t get 😷 being out. In the waters
Who is singing, Athol or Bruce? Love Athol and all of them... He and Judith seems to be very close :)
I'm pretty sure that's Bruce. I would love to hear Judith singing it though.
I also think it's Bruce.
Ana J. Bruce Woodley
I agree Athol and Judith were very close. Just like a big brother taking care of his sister. He was there to assist her at all times.
