I'm probably going to be selling a complete 427 Truck engine. It's complete. Has the 402 heads on it. Don't know much about as I've never had it apart. I'm in Michigan also. If anyone is interested.

@@dzperformance7360 Correct it is a tall deck. I actually inherited it. I heard some people actually do like them for building stroker engines. I guess they were pretty sought after at one time. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks for responding. I enjoy your videos by the way as I do like big blocks.
I see Jeff Lee has more stuff listed for sale several sets of 049s I wonder if the remaining sets are good cores?Did you get a chance to look them all over?3 hours east of me might make a good road trip…
All the stuff I got from him was good and I would have bought more from him but I had a 10-hour drive home and didn't want my truck bumper dragging all that way, my half ton was really loaded down didn't feel safe taking more home with me
Nick, I’m looking for your advice I have an opportunity to buy a pair “left and right” mercury crusaders 350 hp 454 gen 4 with world Merlin grumpy Jenkins 1-043D heads. The guy says he pulled them to go bigger cubes.I know I haft to treat them like cores but could a guy turn them into a good solid street motor.I know the cams especially the one side I believe rotate differently..But what’s your recommendation..I haft to keep budget friendly..Anyway I’m always a fan and always tune in to all your videos from the beginning. Thanks for sharing your knowledge..
Gyn4 bbc 454s sounds like a great idea to me,, The only obstacle you need to keep in mind with boat motors , that has been a boat motor for a long time.Is the cylinder head bolts threads that go into the block ,sometimes deteriorate and give out,, Which is no big deal? You can Healy coil them with a hand drill and tap.Do it yourself ,kind of thing. But you just gotta keep that in mind you may have to redo half of the head bolt threads, in the block
What I'm getting at is I have bought a lot of boat motor blocks and if they was a boat motor for a long time when you're tq. the heads down.Don't be surprised if you pop a couple threads out of the block because they're old and rusty,,
@@dzperformance7360 thanks again I never really thought about Lake water running through as coolant. I will definitely keep that in mind. Good thing is here in Michigan It’s all freshwater and not saltwater but still could corrode more,If I have any questions Nick, I will definitely get in touch. I appreciate you putting out your knowledge and sharing with all of us. Thanks again. I appreciate it..
Hey love your channel I've messaged you a few times before I have a 427 that's bored 0.60 over so it's a 439 it's about 10.7 to 1 compression I have afr 265vheads and a howards hydraulic roller the cam specs are 235x241 duration with 618 lift and it's got a 108 lsa. I'm wanting to change to a solid roller I have it's the comp cams xr292r the specs are 254x260 with 660 x666 lift with a 110 lsa someone did a video awhile back and the guy had the same heads and went from a hydraulic roller to a solid and all he did was used a different spring retainer and lock or keepers have you ever heard of anyone doing this before? Or is there anyway I can use the same springs? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance . Your friend Rick 42⁷

My favorite valve Spring for a street strip.Solid roller like you're talking about is the comp. cam's 933-16
That pile if treasures should keep you busy for a while.😎👍
