- We've all seen cool LED lighting, they have been around a while. The folks at @customdynamics asked me if I would want to put some of their new Pro Glows on the Vicla, and I said heck yeah! I had some old off brand lights on the front, and I was ready to see what all the fuss was about on these things. I was skeptical, but man, seriously, they are so much fun to customize! I installed the headlight and passing lamps, and the controller, then set up a few custom themes. If you're building a bike that you want to be a bit over the top, these are your lights!

All that is great, but if I spend all my money on that fancy stuff, I don't have gas money to ride "/ your videos are great, and fun to watch, I'm was a truck driver, until my age and weight made it too difficult to climb in and out of a big truck, so now I'm out of work, with income, living with my brother, sold my 2008 Ford F-450 and bought a 2013 street glide, wish I was still working so I could add all the bells and whistles I see in all the videos "/ but I'll just have to settle for trying to keep gas in it to enjoy riding it ")
Yes it has a battery monitor feature but u have to turn it on in the app

Jeeze Louise. Next time try routing the Aux light wires down thru the stem bolt below at the turn indicated. Cleaner no drilling. And interested to existing wiring harness. I upgraded with the street glide style brackets also. You make my down time so less boring.

I think it has to do with the shape. It might look goofy going around in a rectangle. Also, that headlight is expensive for a Road Glide. Do this to it and I bet it would be a grand!

I just upgraded my light for my 1995 heritage softail just like your crossbones was , I had a 5.75 , not adaptive , but , still good better than the h4 ,any upgrade is a plus if you can see better , or be seen better, I did a black insert on Chrome bucket, just be cause I thought too much chrome otherwise it looks good my jugs , ha ha jugs , are black plus my two tone paint scheme is black an yellow so it is a good contrast , so my bike looks modern now with our the price tag just for an updated headlight ,

I have a 2018 Heritage classic 114 checked fitment says "Maybe not" lol! The wife saw the video and I'm pretty sure i can get these headlights.. lol "maybe not" is not good to go though.. 😅
I cant see why they wouldnt work? Headlight sizes are the same, the gopro controller is pretty universal so you should be good to go...

Lots of ways to butt splice. If you have enough wire your splicing, stagger you splices so they don't lay next to each other, but in tandem. Also, when using the sleeve heat shrinks, make them long enough to overlap the jacket on each cable. Won't look like a guppy when your done. Or just do it however you want. LOL

@@justin.s9783 Ohhh sorry, yep. They make the full body lighting kit for any bike, just the headlight is only for 7" headlight and passing lamps.

Ok we all know them as butt connectors, however proper name is splice connector; I hope you are using marine grade heat shrink to keep out water

Add additional heat shrink and pull it over the connector for better waterproofing, and overall cya .
So now it's totally possible for your phone to butt dial your bike, or maybe for you to drunk dial the bike. The possibilities are endless.

Are these just accents or are they the headlights?
It's all one assembly, but the headlights and passing lamps are a totally separate system. You plug in the regular lights like you would any other, but then run the halos through a separate system so you can do what you want with them. Make sense?

Super cool. Maybe I missed it. Can you run the headlight normal and have the pro glow rings do it’s thing? If so that’s not only cool but definitely a plus on safety side for catching peoples eyes
Yep, the headlights can be on and you can do whatever you want with the halos. In a lot of places anything but white would be illegal while you are riding so be careful.

Yeah, I doubt anything but white is legal. I would imagine if they're white you can make them chase and stuff. I fugure it's the same as the dudes that run that flashing module on their headlight.

Understood. I was actually thinking it brings the price down a bit for street glides. They only have the center headlight. Also, someone could buy the light and just run it as a headlight then buy the Pro Glow controller later. Makes things easier in smaller bites.

Yup, Im getting 12" KST spearheads and swapping out the inner fairing for color matched on my Road Glide at the Lone Star Rally. Im pretty excited and November cant come soon enough!

And lastly, the white chasing effect you made, I think an appropriate name for that could be “chasing tail”!

You could do that also, but these pins are tiny and I think they are thinking that splicing is more doable for the average person. I actually looked at that and was worrying that the plugs might break doing it.

Though I have personal reason for not using custom dynamics, I have a long distance riding reason for better headlights. I use Headlight Revolution because they test lights and actually give good criticism for products and even better recommendations.
When I have wiring to do I use my " fly tying" jig to hold wires in the soldering butt connectors before heating. Because I have two inept hands and little skill. Just an idea? I use a rubber coating on the clips so I don't cut into the insulation on the wires. The two alligator clips are mounted on a rod that I welded to a movable stand.
