Well hell...where have you been for my entire life? But I most definitely agree with your standards. Trying to communicate with those who can’t feel what this band has been giving us for 38 years I now consider a waste of my time. A music fan who limits his/her music listening horizons do not seek what TooL has their followers expecting...an emotional journey more fulfilling & inspiring than any other band to assemble...and then some. Epic.

My wife doesn't really care for Tool at all. She (probably) recognizes their talent but the metal rock vibe is not her cup of tea.
Luckily our 8yo son is of a different nature. He freakin loves the whole Fear Inoculum album! I've also introduced him to some songs off 10000 Days and Lateralus but I think skip Aenima and Undertow and let him eventually discover those on his own...

My drug of choice is watching reaction videos at the point where people hear the chorus in Fear Inoculum for the first time.
I find each song on this album allow the listener(me) to experience some sort of insight in to something inside them that they weren't quite aware was buried deep down. I'm not quite sure if I can explain it very well other than for me personally, each individual song provides a really emotional response to come to the surface. In certain parts of Pneuma for example, I can literally feel my heart skip a couple of beats. TOOL has always had that affect on me that no other band in my 47 years of existence has ever had...just another masterpiece in their catalog of genius work.

Yea bro. Every time I listen to this absolute masterpiece I hear something new in the back ground.. I've been a fan since 90. I actually interviewed MJK when I was writing for this little rock newspaper called East Coast Rocker! He was a great guy.. Down to earth, driven, and just a brilliant mind.. He actually gave me some original recordings of their early sessions together! I still have them til this day.. 30 fuckin years of TOOL baby..!
Agree, I only think of it Trump song. But in year it could mean something totally different. All TOOL songs are different for everyone, hence no official lyrics from band.
Maynard’s vocals especially in this song are angelic like. Almost like a spiritual shaman that is taking you through your life’s inner evolution

If you like this, may I recommend the live version of Pushit they had on the Salival album. It is kind of a prototype for this slow build, slow burn type of song, but I actually thing the crescendo is better.

Love your channel man...keep being you please, I feel exactly the same as you do for new tool. Easily best song since lateralus album... the song gets better after each listen it’s unbelievable. Never heard production this Pristine before. 10/10 masterpiece. PSA: anyone who judges this song on just couple listens alone will not do this song justice, it is very much rewarded after repeat listens to really appreciate the essence and brilliance of the composition. Masterful..no exaggeration.

The more that you zone-out and LISTEN to this track, the more your brain seems to unlock. My interpretation is that it is the musical or sonic equivalent of actually purging anything that is misleading or stressful from your mind and not allowing any of it to influence you anymore. I'm not even high and I visioned a music video of a superior king toppling over at the end of the song when a fish swimmed into his pelvis. Causing the king to desinigrate and and cave in on itself. And the minions who worshipped him like a king working them to their death. Are finally set free. Again. I'm not even high yet. But that's what tool songs do to me. I wish their were music videos for every tool song on fear inoculum. But than again. The song creates one for me and it's just as magical as every other tool music video. So theirs that!

KingbassK yep I watched Lost In Vegas do Master of Puppets on accident a couple years back and thought this was a pretty sweet setup, just kinda got sucked in. There’s a lot of white noise in this realm, but there are some genuine music heads like Dylan I love to watch. I see you and at least a dozen of the usual suspects here and there on the solid channels. Good stuff for sure. And dude, only two more weeks till the album drops can you believe it??
